Two weeks ago, Isaiah Washington (right) was recognized as one of People's 50 Most Beautiful men and women. Now, the talented actor who plays Dr. Preston Burke is showing us his charitable side. The Insider has been informed of a charity auction held by the Jackie Robinson Foundation in which donors can bid on lunch with Isaiah.

"The Stars Pitch for Education" is the foundation's premiere online fundraising event. It's underway now and runs through Thursday, May 18. Proceeds from the winning bids will go toward the nationally recognized scholarship, leadership development and mentoring programs of the Jackie Robinson Foundation. The organization was founded by Robinson's wife, Rachel, to honor the legendary ballplayer (left) and his achievements, and to carry on his legacy of determination and commitment.

The Foundation strives to help promising young men and women achieve excellence each year through various educational and leadership initiatives. Join Isaiah and others in enhancing the efforts of talented students of color with limited financial resources but strong leadership capabilities and aspirations.
