i don't care what all those negative things said about isaiah.. all i care is that he is the best among grey's anatomy's cast!!! go dr. burke!!!

@ Burke Backer - Calm down.
@ Emily C - 1. Insulting someone for their sexuality isn't racism. 2. there are no gay characters in grey's anatomy, and hardly any characters which i would consider represent any real racial minority. Not that I absolutely care but seriously we've all, at one point or another, said something out of anger that we would never want/mean to say normally, as a means to intentionally hurt the person we're talking to [probably because they, or something else totally unrelated, made us so angry for whatever reason in the first place]. Isaiah's an okay actor but I definitely don't watch the show for him.

How dare he make his anti-gay slurs! A lot of children, teens and adults get beaten and hurt everday from words and discrimination. He is a black men making discriminatory remarks! That is what freaks me out about all of this. Has he not encountered racism in this still racist society? What gives him the right to judge anyone else??? I thought grey's anatomy was a show that was changing the face of television portraying racial and gay minorities in a positive light. It is just hypocritical to keep him on the show.

Thanks for posting this! IW is a tremendous actor, the most talented in the show.
He made a mistake, he apologized, but he is the best and most intense male actor in the show. I am tired of people judging him only for one mistake. Everybody makes mistakes, please go on.
(and I am not a huge fan of the show or of IW)

Ok, now it is my turn to apologize. I am sorry, Justin, for snapping at you for simply writing your opinion. I love the character of Preston Burke on this show. I love the relationship he has with Cristina Yang and am probably too invested in it. Right now the upcoming episode looks really bad for them so I am very worried. Still that is no excuse to write unkind things. Cristina, I hope that even if the actor went down a notch in your opinion over the onset incident between Patrick and Isaiah, I hope you will not lose your appreciation for the character of Preston Burke or the talent of Isaiah Washington to bring that character to life. I believe the actor has paid a million times over for a five second lapse in judgment that was not representative of his true feelings about his castmates or even about gay people. Whatever was said, and there seems to be some differences in the story, cannot be taken back. All he can do is apologize. He's done that. Although I suppose it will change some people's opinion about him no matter what he does, I am not so perfect myself that I have never said or done something in anger that I later regretted. So when the man says he is sorry, I have to accept that apology and move on.

Isaiah Washington is one of the most talented, strongest actors on the show in the opinion of many of us. You really need to get over yourself. You don't know what he said, if he said it, to whom he said it, in what context he said it, and still you are determined to judge him. I am sure there are judgmental people out there who will appreciate your opinion, but I for one am so tired of this same whine. Why not say something positive about one of the other actors on a page that was not provided by Insider for the Isaiah fans? Why not go to the Katherine Heigle post that shows her beautiful picture on Cosmopolitan to sing her praises? Your continued hammering at this same theme will never change my opinion of Isaiah Washington either as an actor or as a man. He may have said something he regretted in anger. I am curious about your motivation for being hateful?

Justin--I repect your opinion, but I am amazed that anyone could think of Isaiah Washington as anything but a tremendous talent. I think he brings excitement and intensity to his acting that is a joy to watch. And the friendly & funny rivalry between him and Derek, such as on the camping trip, is priceless. If you don't enjoy hearing us sing Burke's praises you might want to look under a different comment section!

You know, I loved Isaiah as Burke so much but he went down a notch in my book after he made that homophobic comment. Anyone agree? P.S.Yes, he does look good!

Never a fan of Isaiah since he has the least talent of all the cast.............please post more Chandra and more Katherine and less Isaiah...(still hoping that they axe him to be honest).

Grey's Anatomy Quotes

When we say things like "people don't change" it drives scientist crazy because change is literally the only constant in all of science. Energy. Matter. It's always changing, morphing, merging, growing, dying. It's the way people try not to change that's unnatural. The way we cling to what things were instead of letting things be what they are. The way we cling to old memories instead of forming new ones. The way we insist on believing despite every scientific indication that anything in this lifetime is permanent. Change is constant. How we experience change that's up to us. It can feel like death or it can feel like a second chance at life. If we open our fingers, loosen our grips, go with it, it can feel like pure adrenaline. Like at any moment we can have another chance at life. Like at any moment, we can be born all over again.

Did you say it? 'I love you. I don't ever want to live without you. You changed my life.' Did you say it? Make a plan. Set a goal. Work toward it, but every now and then, look around; Drink it in 'cause this is it. It might all be gone tomorrow."
