Patrick Dempsey is Made of Honor

An Honorable Soul
According to Variety, Grey's Anatomy star Patrick Dempsey has signed a deal to star as the lead in Columbia Pictures' romantic comedy Made of Honor, being produced by Neal Moritz's Original Film.

A director has not yet been hired for the project. The film is a male-driven romantic comedy about a guy (Patrick Dempsey) whose dream girl asks unexpectedly him to be her maid of honor. In an attempt to win her heart, he agrees.

You have to love guys getting stuck in the "friend" mode? Sounds as if this character does what any male would do in that situation - accept in hopes that he can use the time leading up to the wedding to get close to her and win her over. Makes for a funny movie, we're guessing.

Made of Honor is based on a speculative script by Adam Sztykiel and was given the green light after a rewrite by Deborah Kaplan and Harry Elfont.

Dempsey's other upcoming films include Freedom Writers, alongside Hilary Swank, and Enchanted, a family fantasy musical with Amy Adams and James Marsden. We are certainly looking forward to seeing one of the wonderful leading men of Grey's Anatomy on the big screen!

As awesome as it would be to have Ellen be the dream girl, I'm sure their contracts with Gray's wouldn't allow it.

Sounds like a cute movie. I wonder who the female lead will be.

That it would be awesome if she was....great thought!!!

I can't wait to see it either! Maybe Ellen Pompeo could be the "dream girl".......or does that go against some ABC rules.........just a thought!

Grey's Anatomy Quotes

When we say things like "people don't change" it drives scientist crazy because change is literally the only constant in all of science. Energy. Matter. It's always changing, morphing, merging, growing, dying. It's the way people try not to change that's unnatural. The way we cling to what things were instead of letting things be what they are. The way we cling to old memories instead of forming new ones. The way we insist on believing despite every scientific indication that anything in this lifetime is permanent. Change is constant. How we experience change that's up to us. It can feel like death or it can feel like a second chance at life. If we open our fingers, loosen our grips, go with it, it can feel like pure adrenaline. Like at any moment we can have another chance at life. Like at any moment, we can be born all over again.

Did you say it? 'I love you. I don't ever want to live without you. You changed my life.' Did you say it? Make a plan. Set a goal. Work toward it, but every now and then, look around; Drink it in 'cause this is it. It might all be gone tomorrow."
