"Great Expectations" Episode Guide Live; Forums Open For Discussion
The episode was called "Great Expectations" and we think it's safe to say they were met. The pacing was terrific throughout, and the three developments at the end - not one but two marriage proposals, and one reconciliation rebuffed - were certainly not what we anticipated.

Wow. I would have to say that one of my favorite scenes was of Derek telling Meredith that he would always come back home, no matter what. And although I REALLY wish it was Dereck proposing to Meredith, I'm glad that Prestin proposed to Christina. I'm not too fond of Callie and George... I think they are taking things WAYY too fast. They just started liking each other a few episodes ago.. and now its sex sex sex. I hope that Callie says that she loves George but that she isn't ready for marriage.
Oh and next week's episode looks amazing!!!

okay so this was by far one of my favorite esipodes. i know i say that ALOT. but it's hard not to! =). and everything that happened kind of surprised me .. almost every single thing. george and callie totally threw me off .. and i kind of felt bad for george. he waited this long and finally said i love you and just happened to say marry me at the end. i don't think that's going to float to well with callie. and i feel so bad that he finally said the 3 letter sentence and it's not going as smooth as he would like. and i do kind of feel that it slipped out because of the whole dad thing. not to be mean. and christina and burke. FINALLY!! holy moly i've been waiting on that one for a while now. yay! i sure hope christina says yes .. which i'm sure she will. that's going to be an interesting relationship to follow. and the meredith and derek thing. that was probably the sweetest thing derek has EVER said to meredith! i'm a die hard merder fan so i'm probably over-reacting. but i thought it

It is my fervent hope that Isaiah remains on the show because Burke and Cristina belong together. The love they have for each other as portrayed by these two actors is a beautiful thing to watch. I think they will get married and then have new issues to deal with as husband and wife.

Last night's episode was great, as always. I just can't help wondering what will happen between Burke and Cristina if Isaiah Washington gets the axe. So I'm thinking that she will either (1) turn him down right away, or (2) accept his proposal but then back out later on down the road. It's too bad; they were a good couple.
I felt bad for the Chief, the way Adele rebuffed him, but he seriously should have brought her flowers a long time ago. And now that Ellis seems to be recovering, does this open the door for them?

despite all the gushing and wooing around this episode..
i thought it was not very well done..
every single scene happened TOO FAST....and do'nt get me wrong, they are great scenes..such as 4 attendings sitting on the floor outside of Chief's office...
Cristina told Burke she is in it for the long haul..
The little encounter between Callie and Cristina "Talking is over-rated" "Silence is overrated" I see a budding friendship happening between the 2 very strong willed doctors..i definitely see these 2 women become good good friends down the road....
but I think one major flaw i see is that none of these great things got stretched to any extent the way it is supposed to..
but then you only have 45 minutes of air time per episode, what can you do?

Loved the episode! Loved the scenes with Izzie and George. I think Alex was just bluffing with Addison so things would not remain awkward between them..he is so into her! Not sure about the proposals whether they will both say yes..I thought it would be one of the two for proposals, but not both of them…that was a surprise. Felt sorry for the chief, but I think things will rekindle between him and Ellis since she is getting better…isn't that due to the experimental test the chief and Dereck mentioned last season?
And Mer/Der…always love their scenes! They are my favorites! I am so glad he made up with Mer @ the end and explained how fights work! (ha) He was so sweet and kind to her as he was apologizing and that smile and those eyes…OMGosh! And the way he always kisses her…he really shows how much he LOVES her! Maybe we can look for a proposal with these two by season end? That would be great because these two are definately in it for the long haul and belong together!
