1. based on what Izzie said in her speech about the stuff that happened in the last year....so i guess that means that this is the end of their first year (i know some of us were wondering how much time had passed in shonda land) also last week when sydney said something about being cheir resident in the 5th year,,,which made me think the year is almost over.
2. I just thought it was crazy how they bring up things in past episodes that seem so not important but then they do ..for example...last week remember that george had that camera and was taking a picture of callie during triage ....well and Baily told him to take it back to the clinic where it belongs...and then this e

If Merideth is, in fact, dead, then perhaps a new writer/producer should be found for the series. This is an intelligent, entertaining show with a great cast. The on screen chemistry is excellent. Merideth Grey is a key character in the series. Hasn't the writer/producer killed off enough key people? Can this group of people not grow and entertain us without another one dying? It would be a shame to have to stop watching such a good show because it was allowed to drift into the mundane repetition of loss, etc.

WOW!!!! there are not too many times when I ever say wow, but WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW!! That was the most intense episode I have ever seen! I was literally falling off the edge of my sofa last night. Brilliant, absolutely brilliiant, Shonda. (although i will stop watching the show if meredith dies and stays dead).
And to some of you that think our girl was giving up, I looked up the symptoms of hypothermia and it said that very early on you begin to loose concern and feel apathy to what becomes of you. (if you don't believe me then go to webmd.com and type in hypothermia).
But also as something to consider, GA does SO MUCH FORESHADOWING! I mean really, you have to think that the answer of what will really become of meredith and the others lies within the script somewhere.
**My absolute favorite part of the entire episode was when Addison walked into the room and said "Come On Meredith, don't do this!" That just broke my heart all over again!

Pink Mist is right Warm dead is the term when you have died from Hyprothermia. I read that the brain can be revived up to two hours after losing consciousness. The cold water considerably lowers metabolism, allowing the brain to withstand a much longer period of hypoxia.

Everyone is saying that they wish ellis was dead. if merideth was alive and her mom is dead, mer would probably want to die for a very long time. i know ellis is a bitch but she's mer's mom, she raised her.
Oh and if the rest of th 6 seasons her her "afer life" it would soooooo ruin the show. eww it would just be really bad.

They just can't kill off Meredith. Though it would make for TV history. I wouldn't want her to be a ghost narrating the story like in Desperate Housewives. That'd just be lame. My guess is that they bring her back to life.
As for killing someone off, might as well it be Ellis Grey. It's her time go to.

They're gonna find a cure for Alzhiemer's, and you and I will have another chance. To get to know each other. You'll get a chance to know me, to see that I am not even remotely ordinary, so I wish you would have the surgery. But it's up to you Mom, it's your life."

Maybe the title of next week show suggest that they'd need "Some Kind of Miracle"? The next one is called "Old Wounds" so, it could mean alot of things. Maybe Meridith healing....... The staff getting over Meridith's death......Burktina realizing something........Maybe a little Sloan/Sheppard confrontation? There are 88,521,000,000,000 different things that could happen, so who knows? But one thing I know is the fact Meredith is dead. We just all need to wait and see what Shonda decides to do with her in the next episode.

I also think Meredith will meet Ellis who dies while Meredith is dead. I only hope their scene will be a good and intense Grey's Anatomy style scene and not a typical I'm sorry and goodbye scene.
I loved Patrick in the scene were Derek falls apart in the hallway, the rawness of that scene made my cry and I (almost) never do when watching TV because most of the time I don't feel it like the scene wants me to. But this time I did and it was a very powerful and beautiful scene. My guess is that this particular scene will get Patrick lots of nominations next season. He played it out superbly!
Here is what I think, it's possible that by the end of the next episode Meredith is still dead. I am only saying is that because there is no episode scheduled for March 01, we have to wait until March 08 for the next episode after next week's three-episode-arc conclusion and what a way to create a cliffhanger! Than again, the title for next week's episode does indicate that Meredith will be ok.

I am PRAYING, and thanks to Izzie -believing, that Ellis will die and join the three deadies in the room whereupon Meredith and her Mom make nice, and have some closure to the painful past they have endured ..then her Mom urges her to fight for her not-so-ordinary life and and she does, but after having had great chats and messages from Denny and bomb-boy. This will take the whole episode and keep us on our toes for the whole hour (making it look like she's comfy up there) but there is no time in the afterlife and what will seem like hours or days up there will be mere minutes to her earthly mourners...
Ya! Ya! That's my perfect world...cuz man...I'm empty. Not a tear left in me -I'm sure of it.

ok. so Mer can't die. i think that if the show created an afterlife like environment then that would be just way to fake. and i like the idea that ellis dies and talks to mer but that would be way to off. if they had enough time to have surgery and then to have her die then that means that they all stopped working on mer. the timing would be off and mer would have to be dead for like at least 2 hours.

PINK MIST, totally agree with the comment you copied above... yes, I think that Mer will spend a lot of time talking with thse two guys (Denny and the bomb guy), and who knows, maybe Denny will try to give Izzie some kind of message...
Also, I do think Ellis will die (probably when Mer is still asleep or trying to survive, and maybe they will be together in this "other life" for some secs), and she will regret of so many things...
I must say I loved the way Addison tried to help Mer. I´ve never liked Addison too much, but they are doing a great job with her character in the last weeks, as she is getting a better person every chapter... just liked it a lot, same as Sloan´s reaction...

I think, as I am sure you all do, that Mer won´t die. It would be killing the show, and I am pretty sure they won´t do that.
Just some things I am thinking about:
1. The pregnant girl that Karev saved, is someone that is related to him somehow. I´ve read that she´s a girl he slept with at the beginning of this season. Makes me sense, as I remember the way this girl touched Karev´s hands, as if she did not want to let him go. It was like she was trying to say something to him. I´ve read some speculations that she might be expecting Karev´s baby, but I also think that would mess the Addison/Karev relationship.
2. As many others do think, I guess Ellis is the one dying. Just remember that she is going to a heart surgery, and it´s wuite easy to kill someone in an OR.
Hoping to hear somehting else!! :)
