First off, WOW !! Great episode, very intense. Meredith and the girl, I beleive is a dream girl, I think it represents Meredith and she's not really there. Falling off the pier was ominous, that she needs to be saved and Derek will find her, although she may suffer from hypothermia and be in a coma...not dead but her body shut-down. Poor Izzie, she has to slay a huge fear by helping the accident car man, but noticed that gasoline was dripping out of the vehicle, so what happens next???Alex was awesome, truly a compassionate hero, by all means, and Addison is really liking the qualities he has shown. Callie was really of the wall, talking to George about working and can't be his wife right now, they are working out the finer points.Burktina are allready so much like a married couple, and boy, having to tell your best-friend the big news first was a huge deal, I agree that Mer needed to be told , but Cristina was so cute when she was trying to tell her. Really a well written show.Excited to see where all this is leading. Bravo to Bailey , she is soooo awesome !!!

That would be too easy, Belgian. George just lost his father. Killing off Meridith's mom would just be redundant. That said, I suppose it is within the realm of possibility. Either way, I am stil on the edge of my seat for the next couple of weeks. I just hope they don't go with the "it was all just a dream" route.

Mike says "Now if the show is insisting on killing someone off for good, Meredith might just run into Izzy and Denny during her brush with the afterlife." Could it not be that Ellis does not make it through surgery and that she is the one that dies?

That sounds interesting.

My prediction for the next two episodes looks something like this...
Meredith does Die.
Derek does rescue her, and eventually brings her back to life - but not consciousness.
Meredith remains in a coma - here we see some things from comatose Meredith's point of view - her friends telling her things that she hears but cannot respond to - perhaps some brush with the afterlife where her spirit meets Denny's spirit (that would explain Jeffrey Dean Morgan's return) Meredith will have a lot of things to tell people when she regains consciousness. Now if the show is insisting on killing someone off for good, Meredith might just run into Izzy and Denny during her brush with the afterlife. Sounds crazy, but if I am right, I am opening a psychic hotline. ;-)

ABC.com shop they have shirts, mugs, bags, ect....

Who is that little girl?
I have a feeling that she is deaf and mute...
she could read lips and she can't really speak..

The first time I saw the episdoe I wasn't too crazy about it. Other than the scene with Burke and Cristina first arriving at the hospital together happy about their engagement, I didn't like much of it. But then I watched it again tonight and there was quite a bit that I enjoyed. Cristina peering around the locker at Meredith was pretty funny. The elevator scene with Addison, Derek, Mark, Burke, and the Chief was cute. It's kind of fun to see the guys bonding a little bit. I really liked that Derek confided in Burke. They both could use a male friend. Both of their girlfriends have some issues that they clearly don't get. That was a really nice scene. I understood why Burke confided in Derek about the engagement, but the whole time I was thinking, man are you going to be in trouble. I loved Alex tonight. He was heroic rescuing the pregnant girl and his concern for her throughout was very touching. The first time I watched it I didn't get that the bare mattress and open dresser drawers were showing us that George had moved out. I loved the "I am your knight in shining whatever". Very sweet. Derek really is so romantic. I don't know, Karen, about Burke asking Cristina to cover his floor. In a way it was showing his faith in her. Anyone can assist him in surgery when he is right there to tell them what to do, but he chose Cristina because she is the best intern to look out for his cardiac patients while he responds to the emergency. It wasn't what she wanted to do, but I think he was actually thinking like a doctor and trying to do the best for his patience. At worst it was his way of reminding her that at work he is still the boss, kind of like Callie reminded George. I don't think he was being mean to her, but he might have been testing her a little bit. I actually thought the exchange when he asked her why in 45 minutes she had not told her friend about their engagement was kind of a good move in a chess game. She was on the attack because he confided in Derek and he gave a good counter move asking why she hadn't told Meredith when she had the chance. It was kind of a stalemate when she changed the subject and walked away. Every thing with them is kind of a chess game, I think. I felt sorry for the chief this episode and I am curious about the little girl with Meredith. In this episode I wasn't sure than anyone saw her except Meredith. But in the preveiws Derek asks her directly where Meredith is. It thought at first she might be kind of Meredith as a child, like something she was remembering rather than a real child.

C and Bonnie M--yes Addison was referring to Meredith as the perfect 12 year old--a jab at Derek for having a relationship with someone much younger than he is (on the show--in real life they are fairly close in age). I don't think Meredith's patient died, she saved his life by sewing up the gash on his leg. He was apparently delirious with pain and did not deliberately knock her into the water. Marlene--the Grey's Anatomy ABC website has stuff like that for sale.

could anyone tell me the web site to go to to get some type of Grey's Anatomy memorabilia? t-shirts, coffee mugs, etc?

Grey's Anatomy Quotes

There's a reason I said I'd be happy alone. It wasn't 'cause I thought I'd be happy alone. It was because I thought if I loved someone and then it fell apart, I might not make it. It's easier to be alone, because what if you learn that you need love and you don't have it? What if you like it and lean on it? What if you shape your life around it and then it falls apart? Can you even survive that kind of pain? Losing love is like organ damage. It's like dying. The only difference is death ends. This? It could go on forever.

Did you say it? 'I love you. I don't ever want to live without you. You changed my life.' Did you say it? Make a plan. Set a goal. Work toward it, but every now and then, look around; Drink it in 'cause this is it. It might all be gone tomorrow."
