I love that people in the medical field watch the show and enjoy it. We aren't looking for reality television. But if we were, wouldn't it be lovely if attendings looked like Dr. Shepherd, Dr. Burke, Dr. Sloan, or Dr. Montgomery for starters. None that I have come across. Sure would make it a bit nicer being sick. If by "most entertaining" you meant most unrealistic, I would have to agree. But they were exciting to watch.

The point of it is that it's entertaining. It's nice that it keeps some real world value though... Some people just need to relax.

And I know a couple that have been married for 20 years and he was an attending and she was an intern and they did it in the on-call room...... she has been one of my closest friends for the last 25 years so I was in the secret. But this is Europe and this would of course never happen in the US!!!

if people want to watch a more realistic medical show, there's TLC and The Life Network. heck, even ER has more "medicine" than grey's anatomy...that being said, i much prefer the twists and turns and the drama and the comedy of grey's anatomy. and a ton of people will surely agree!

Bwhahahaaha. Anyone I've ever talked to in the medical field says the same thing. Sleeping with an attending is just NOT gonna happen. And you've got to admit, after working 36 hour shifts you don't really want to go home with your coworkers and bond.
