The spin off was awful! the characters weren't interesting at all and it seems shondra tried too hard to make it interesting(like a doc who has sex w young girls in the internet, etc.) but failed. i couldnt relate or really care about the characters and i thought it tried too hard to be cute that the whole thing ended up soooo corny! bring back kate to GA. In case anyone thinks i'm a minority, just read the forums, not the ones that didnt like the spin off, but the fact that 99% of the comments were all about grey's. In other words, the spin off didnt spark much interest w the viewers. Need i say more?

chill out! you guys are all so critical. I admit it wasn't one of the best episodes and MerDer breaking up makes me mad, but it's a TV show and a TV show needs drama, so drama's what it gets. we all know MerDer will end up together in the end so it will just make it all the more sweeter when they do.
And as for me, I liked the spin off so far. They have alot of good plots and it just looks like a show that could really have alot of potential.
so everyone stop picking on Shonda because she did a great job!

Is that the problem? Peter Horton hasn't been there??? OMG - Shonda, fix it IMMEDIATELY!
He was fabulous as an actor in Thirtysomething...and I was thrilled when I saw his name in the S1 & S2 credits, and on the dvds...
Is that the missing piece? Cos something is certainly missing. I noticed Marti Noxin? was involved in last night's fiasco, too. Not saying she's a bad writer / producer, but maybe she's better in a different genre? I haven't liked what she's done at GA.

i thought the show was named Grey's anatomy, why the hell did the grey herself only got 10min out of the two hours? you have got to be kidding me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if to say addi was just showed with her friend for 10min, that will still give the audience the idea of the spin, but 2 painful hours! holy crap that was hell. Derek annoyed me in this epi. Seriously Shonda you guys are totally loosing it.

I'm seriously bummed they killed off Susan Grey, and I understood The Slap.
I don't think Private Practice looks promising at all. The dialogue was wince-worthy, and every cliche about L.A. was trotted out. Really disappointing. It's getting panned critically. Bring Addy back to Seattle, and totally revamp Grey's.

This was a beautiful song , but I cannot find who is singing it. SO PLEASE HELP!!! Think it was in the last half hour of the episode.

I LOVED the LA stuff. In fact when I re-watch it in a little bit on my DVR I'm going to fast-forward through the Seattle stuff. Nothing new happened there except the thing with Meredith's stepmom (SO sad) and Christina picking out wedding/bridesmaids dresses. BOring. Private Practice was like a breath of fresh air.
People who are hating the spin-off already need to remember that Grey's Anatomy wasn't an absolute hit right from Day 1. Give it some time!
I really hope the new show gets picked up for next season. Tim Daly is SO sexy! :)

absolutely first-rate acting between Jeff Perry and Ellen Pompeo in their final, devastating scene.
if the actors read this: Ellen Pompeo, your reading/voice at the beginning and ending of each episode raise the bar every time, for me.. help me forget the soap-iness factor..
with Susan's death- and the manner of her death- Meredith has 'lost' her father more completely than if she and he had made no steps towards each other.. yikes! I do not envy the pain ahead of her.
(why do Bailey and Derek and Chief Webber allow? expect? Meredith to break the news- alone!- of Susan's death to her obviously lost-without-his- wife father?!
just imagine the guilt Meredith is going to bear (because she's like this) knowing her father is now completely helpless in the world- yet, simultaneously, the justifiable anger she will feel for being blamed by him when she is (yet again, vis a vis her father) blameless--
is enough to make the whole fan-audience of the show groan in unison.

I personaly love them so I was so excited that they used their newest song...it fit so perfectly with Meredith's slap...here are the lyrics:

UGH!
The Grey's stuff was so intense and the spinoff stuff definitely overshadowed all of it. I wish they would have done them as two separate episodes. It really broke the continuity and made me annoyed. They would show like 30 seconds of a scene at SGH and then back to LA. It was infuriating. Can someone reedit it so that only Grey's clips are in 1 episode and they are separate, PLEASE!?!?!
The spinoff looks ok, but I am so annoyed by how much it infringed on Grey's I don't want to watch it now. I want extra episodes because of this!

Okay i am not done yet, i just went to complete my assignment and now i am back. So as i was saying, i just saw the promo for next week.. unbelievable!!! SERIOUSLY!??! i nearly had a heart attack and it totally FREAKED me out!!! Seriously shonda what do you think you are playing with? you do realise that to even think of giving derek a new love interest other than mer is unacceptable and would totally destroy your fan base if not the show? Secondly i know its just a show but trust me on this, fans are extremely sensitive were merder are concerned, which if it happens will not only make majority of your fans hate you but mcdreamy as well and i mean for ever. Thirdly, just how much can meredith take as a person? seriously! do you necessarily have to kill susan? i liked susan and now you killed her just like that, for no reason what so ever. I am tired and angry very angry and frustrated and i am not the only one, so you better perform some kind of MIRACLE in your next two episodes or

Spin off was just another grey' anatomy. I will never watch it. I am also glad that I can cross off grey's anatomy from my list of shows I watch. They will lose viewers big time next season.
