how can they let a focus group of 200 decided what happens to izzie and George? i hardly think they could be representative of the hundreds of thousands of fans this show must have! why would anyone want callie and George to stay together when izzie and george are obviously in love and have a great chemistry and it dosent even look like George is happy with callie. Theres nothing endearing about callie, shes so meh. george and izzie would be so cute together!

well George & Izzie is a hit, all that noise and conflict in every forum says that everybody is waiting & hoping to see whats gonna happen, we are talking about feelings here, not the hot blonde and little guy, lets believe its gonna happen, i think that this story needs for a good script, need more time

Those two are amazing. They have the most natural, most real and powerful chemistry on TV and it is all thanks to the wonderful TR and Katherine.

IZZIE & GEORGE: Best friend falling in love is amazing. Every person's dream come true to have the one you love be your best friend they have a chemistry. They complete each other. I vote for George and Izzie. There love is something real don't take that away.

Well i also sign in the petition. George and Izzie is a go pairing. They will be a cute couple. Who cares about the focus group. I don't like Callie for George and it will be nice if their relationship will be over in the forthcoming season. I hope there will be more about George and Izzie and Hope that Shonda will listen to this petition. Pleaaaaaassssse dont tear George-Izzie pairing apart.........

Ugh, don't even go there. If Callie is pregnant, I hope it's Mark, or I will stop watching for sure. There are some amazing Gizzie fanfics out there. I have a feeling if George and Izzie are dropped, I will leave Grey and read the fanfics instead.

The writers can't possibly end George and Izzie's storyline! First of all, George/Izzie has a large fanbase as it can be seen on fan forum. Plus, season 3 has clearly showed that George and Callie are over. On the other hand, the witers have done a wonderful job concerning George and Izzie: their scenes are amazing and T.R. and Katie have such an undeniable chemistry. I personnally love George and Izzie and I think they are the best storyline which has been written for a long time. so Please don't drop out George and Izzie storyline!

Actually, the panels are not new, there was a Touchstone anel last year, but the results weren't released until much later, like three months after. There was overwhelming hate for Callie and Addison in those, people calling for their heads.
So the panel existed before, it is no new. What is new is releasing the results right away.
About Grey matter, if you go there, about half the people hate George and Izzie, and half love them. There have been a lot of positive comments about them in there.
As for the season finale, I think the huge majority hated it, which is nrmal, as every single character ended up totally miserable. I felt like taking a Prozac after it.
I am one fan that LOVES LOVES LOVES and ADORES GEORGE AND IZZIE.
In fact, I don't think have ever been as obsessed with a TV couple as them and I have been watching TV for years and years and have loved a lot of couples. But this one is special.

Actually, the focus groups weren't formed until after last season ended with such negative comments from the fans. The first panels (that I'm aware of) weren't until June, although solicitations to join went out before that.
Word is that part of the catalyst (aside from the critics basing S3), was the overwhelming number of posts at the writers blog, mostly calling for Shonda's head, and similar posts at the Touchstone siite....
A focus group for PP initiated cast changes there, and everyone credits the Touchstone panel for causing change at LOST to save that show. I don't watch it personally, but I hear the writing improved immensely and their finale was one of the best this season...

That makes alot of sense because your right if she was going to listen to focus groups then lexie woul be gone, so i do hope she doesnt and sticks with Gizzie

Ok for all of you who belive that this focus group actually has power than i ask you one thing. If the focus group has so much power and hates lexie as much as they do then why did she just become a regular?? I highly dout that Shonda or ABC is going to listen to the focus group. If they had listen to them last year than all of season three would have been MerDer sex. No other characters no story just MerDer sex. I think that if Shonda has been planning George and Izzie sense the first episode i don't think a focus group and ABC can change that. So i say Gizzie should get together and be the new Burke and Cristina because we know they will never be together. The show needs at least two good couples and i say MerDer and Gizzie should be those couples even though i find MerDer kind of dull.

George and Izzie are and amazing pairing. This storyline has been writen to show the true love they have for each other and to end it would be a complete 360. The division they have cause within fandom surely shows what a great storyline this is.

wow. 95% of 200 people don't like gizzie...thats a huge number when you consider like, oh i dunno 21 MILLION people watch the show. Also that panel was really fair and equal...all of my friends and acquaintances who adore gizzie were denied membership in the panel, and as a result was over-run by the self-loathers of TWoP.
george and izzie HAVE to be together in season four. they are the only reason season three was not a complete bust. after all that they have been through, they have been written as an endgame couple, and anything less won't make sense.

It was the opposite for me. Izzie and George are the only thing that made the end of season 3 bearable for me. I know they are the reason why I still watch.
