She'll be moonlighting in primetime as the host of NBC's reality weight-loss series, The Biggest Loser.
"Alison is an incredible talent and will bring not only a great fresh face to the show but a huge, loyal fan base," said Ben Silverman, executive producer and Reveille CEO. "We are thrilled and look forward to another strong season."
The Days of Our Lives star should have a strong connection to the contestants on the show; she's struggled with weight issues of her own, chronicle in the book All The Days of My Life (So Far), which she wrote and was released in 2004.
The premise behind The Biggest Loser is to teach weight-challenged participants how to eat healthy and exercise in order to achieve a radical physical makeover without any kind of surgery. It premieres this fall.
