All My Children Update: Alexa Havins Out, Amanda Baker In

by at . Comments

All My Children has confirmed the exit of Alexa Havins, who joined the show as Babe Carey in October 2003.

Her final air date will be October 8, the same day the actress All My Children has hired to replace her — Amanda Baker (Jolene on General Hospita: Night Shift, pictured) — will make her debut.

Explains a show rep, "[Havins's] Babe will hug Krystal and when they separate from the hug, it will be Amanda Baker [in] the role."

I love Alexa and wish she wasnt leaving the show. Best of luck to Amanda.

Congratulations, Amanda! I've enjoyed watching the Night Shift and feel you'll play a great Babe. Good luck, Alexa. I know that you'll raise beautiful babies so enjoy the family time. You've earned it!

You guys replaced Greenlee too and the replacement isn't as good as the old one! Don't let Alexa go!!

i never was addicted to your show but i made sure to watch when babe was on!!!!! is she leaves no matter who you get to replace it wouldnt be the same. BIG MISTAKE HUGE!!!

Babe (Alexa) is my favorite character! I don't think this other girl can hold a candle to her! I'll be pissed if she goes!

If you take Alexa Havins off the show i will quite watchingD it. And i have been a loyal watcher from the very beginning.

All My Children Quotes

[to Myrtle about Erica] Somebody give me a stick so I can beat the stupid out of her.

Maggie Stone: I wonder if it's the number of nights that really matter. I mean, love, it's more than just the physical part. It's whether or not you connect. You can't plan who you fall in love with.
Jamie Martin: Well, how do you even know if it's real? I mean, so many people fall in love and go through the motions, but it's not even close.
Maggie Stone: Maybe some people don't even get to have it.
Jamie Martin: Or they don't recognize it when it comes along.
Maggie Stone: Or when you do finally get it so deep it's a part of you, only to have it taken away. You know, when I - when we couldn't find Bianca, I experienced an emptiness I've never felt before, I mean, like what it would be like if Bianca had never surfaced again. I had to put that out of my mind. I had to forget it.
Jamie Martin: It's complicated - love. It's so unique every time, with every person. And when the real thing comes along, I guess we just have to hope we see it.
Maggie Stone: Or hold onto it.
