Maksim Chmerkovskiy: Marie Osmond Should Be Gone

at . Comments

Maksim Chmerkovskiy is more than just a pretty face and a dancing talent: he's refreshingly honest.

When asked by Extra if the right person (Jennie Garth) was voted out of Dancing with the Stars last week, Chmerkovskiy replied:

"I think Jennie was better than Marie Osmond," he said."Frankly, I think there are a lot of other people better than Marie."

A Perfect Dance

As for who should be crowned this year's champion, Maks isn't shy about tooting his own partner's horn: Melanie Brown, "should win," he said, noting "she's hands down the best dancer left... [the] most capable, most natural."

Alas, as often happens with reality contests, true talent can get trumped.

"History shows [Dancing's celeb champ is] either a cute man or somebody with a huge fan base and I think Marie has both Helio and Mel's fan base combined times five."

We'll find out this week!

I like Marie's hair in this picture.

I like Marie Osmond's hair in this picture. Do you?

I think that there was WAY TOO MUCH focus on the Osmond family. DWTS producers are partly at fault for this. There were many dancing teams. The producers focused on Osmond stories ad nauseam. Marie gave many many TV interviews. She bared her soul to the whole TV viewing world. I have empathy for her problems, but after a while it seemed too much. The stories about the other dancing teams were eclipsed by Marie's many personal painful dramas.

Seriously? If you think that Marie ACTUALLY DESERVED to be where she was, you need a psyche exam. I truly think that Sabrina should have been standing where Marie was, and the right person won. I think Helio was the best in this case because he developed into a good dancer. Sabrina and MEl were outstanding, no doubt, but they had some experience that just needed development and good training to turn them into awesome. MAks is an EXTREMELY capable coach and an incredible talent, as is evident by the progress of his students. Sore loser? No, just correct.

I totally agree with Maksim. Dancing with the stars is NOT A DANCE CONTEST,

the man stated the truth and a fact. marie is still dancing because she cry's out for sympathy and because of her last name. i like marie but, this is a competition not a sympathy drive. the osmond's are old news.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOO OKAY now M&M are the cool ones and I look like a dork but honestly I don't care WOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO check the scores Mel & Maks are on the top everybody vote VOTE VOTE :o)'s gosh I'm just so proud lol.............

Max is running scared?...Of Marie Osmond's dancing ability? Are you out of your mind? No other dancer has done as much outside publicity as Marie. Reality shows are about popularity as much as talent. Max maybe cocky but you're having a laugh if you think the Osmonds aren't using this show to raise their profiles and marketability.

the judges gave Marie the scores she earned , Mel B is the best dancer she does have the most talent and I do hope she and Maks win because news flash to those of you who are closed minded Mel and Maks desurve to win they have earned it !!!!!!!!!!!!! watch the actual dancing Mel is better and yes Maks is cocky but guess what on this matter hes also 100% RIGHT !!!!!!! just add up whos gotton the most 10's on the show

Max is running scared! Of course he wanted Jennie to stay because it would be easier for Mel B. to beat her than Marie. The judges have been really hard on Marie and given her low scores when she deserved higher scores. Jennie was a train wreck. She was good one week and dismal the next. Marie was consistant all the way through and worked just as hard as Mel B.. The judges would tell Jennie she did not do well and then turn around and give her a 9 and in the same situation with Marie, they would give Marie a 7. Max is a loser with a bad attitude. Now I really hope Marie or even Helio wins just so Maxs' sorry a-- doesn't get a win this season.

Dancing With the Stars Quotes

Well, it's obvious that you've got dancing in your blood. Unfortunately, it hasn't reached your feet.

I'm really good at doing whatever beautiful women tell me to do.
