A lot of Gizzie fans love Callie, we just never thought she and George were right for each other. I'd say 99% of the Gizzie fans were against the affair, a lot of the Gizzie fans I know are married. I am and I understand marriage s hard work, I also understand some marriages are just a colossal mistake from day 1, and at those times it is better to walk away. That marriage was bringing both of them down.
Actually George and Izzie were not written to have no chemistry until episode 7 this season, and this might have been Shonda caving in to some of the backlash.
Because in season 3, Shonda went on and on about how much chemistry Gizzie has, how amazing their night together had been, how they had MADE LOVE and not had sex and how it was the best sexual experience they ever had in their lives, she said they did it like 84 times. I don't understand how people can say that they only watched the show for Gizzie. What about the other seasons when they weren't together at all and just friends? Anyway I am sorry the Gizzie is no longer- I didn't know that so many people loved them. Personally I thought they were awkward, lame, and just another annoying twist to the relationship plot at SG. I'm glad they are no more!! Yay less than a month til greys!!

I´m very happy because mer/der, i love them, and i´m so sorry for Gizzie fans. Please do not stop seeing East fantastico show itself what they still could not have your favorite couple joined, so only it does so that the show can be canceled and not and I fight for that that like the show without having a favorite couple, that what the show comes for everything that wraps, friendship, love, medicine for everything, for this pesso please what think well before giving up. I never gave up even with the whole sad history of the der/mer. Please do not give up that they insist with your opinion next to the writers make hearing your appeal do not give up them to me please. Some of you guys need to get a grip! It's just a show, these are not real people. Yeah, I care about it too, but jeez. I've been a fan since the pilot episode years ago...But obviously some of you are not true Greys fans if you can call it quits after a couple breaks up. Please. The show is not about Izzy and George. I hated them as a couple, anyway. George used to be one of my favorite characters but I can't stand him since he got with Izzie. She ruined him. And I'm not a Mer/Der fan either. I loved Mer with McVet. But did I leave when they broke up? Nope! (I was, however, really upset with Christina and Burke didn't make it, they were my favorite couple.) For me, the show's best stuff is the medical stuff - most of it's crazy, but its entertaining. So ya'll chill out and enjoy being entertained. ( :

And when you go back to school each morning, do you tell your students that you spend your evenings fighting with other 12 year old posters about the merits of fictional tv characters and your need to have them be in love? Because that would be embarrassing on so many levels it wouldn't be funny. I'm doubting you do. I would hope you would do more on your off time than this. Hearing you are a school teacher and seeing you post and then come back and repost to others makes me ask why more people don't question where their tax payer dollars go into the educational system when we see teachers fighting on a Grey's Anatomy board rather than thinking up things that actually MEAN something to this world and young people. Please tell me you were joking about teaching our youth as I felt more comfortable thinking you were twelve than thinking young minds are invested with someone who does THIS on their off time.

I would think that the older fans would be more likely to understand that marriage is WORK. You can be attracted to someone. That doesn't mean you have to act on it. Just from my personal experience, the Gizzie fans I know are mostly in the mid-teens to early 20s range.
As for the chemistry of George and Izzie... regardless of any cheimstry the ACTORS have, the characters didn't have any. That was the way it was written. They love each other as friends and lost something impartant when they crossed that line. I would think long term fans of George and Izzie would be happy to have the friendly relationship back. I missed it during all this twue wuv crapola.
And yeah... if my brother locked himself in the bathroom for an hour, I would drop a crass comment about what he was doing in there. I would never, however, do it to someone I was attracted to. It's just two different ways of looking at it, I suppose.

I have hardly said all the 40 and 50 year old know what real love is, if not, there would not be 40% or more divorces, just that they usually have a better idea what love is than 12 year old who proclaim Izzie is hot, George is ugly, Izzie should be with a hot guy and yes, I have read this argument many many times from Gizzie haters.

This quote by a fan of GIZZIE show me just how painfully young the fans of this tv couple are. To say that people in their 40-50's "know what love is" Many do, but as in all age groups, so many painfully DO NOT. I post on a Gizzie site and we asked everyone's age, the average age was 26, the Lexzie fans were 16 to 20.
I know a lot of Gizzie fans off the Net that are in their 40 and 50s, people who actually have a real idea of what true love is.

George said he would do her and Izzie smiled at him and looked right down at his lips. As for Izzie, she quite clearly told Alex she did NOT want him, she just did not want anyone else to want him, which is normal ex behavior. I am not in love with my ex, but it bugged me when he moved on, and I am totally over him, you always want someone to pine over you forever.
That same episode, Izzie had spent the whole time talking about George, something she had done the three last episodes.
Izzie was also jealous of Olivia and Callie all the time.

I don't understand all these people saying they are LEAVING because Gizzie didn't work out. So, did you start watching at the end of Season 3? They are such a small part in the big scheme of things. They were actually together for what? 4 episodes? I stand by the opinion that the OMG GIZZIE! fans are a certain age demographic.

Thank GOD this crap is over. For the record, I like Heigl. I LOVE TR. I have always loved George and I used to love Izzie. She's not the same character she was in the beginning. Heigl has even said that. She used to be the sweet little chick who loved Christmas and would do anything for her friends. Honestly, it ALL changed when they introduced Callie. I think the instant hate Izzie felt for Callie was CRAZY. She was never once nice to her. The only scene where she was civil was the one when she was trying to convince Callie to forgive George after he chose to be with Izzie. That got cut and put on the Season 3 bonus scenes. I love Callie. She became my favorite character, but I could have liked them both. They just butchered Izzie. I don't know how they will redeem her.

Actually I had the same thing happen to me on TWOP, I reported it like the poster above said she did, read the message correctly next time, and they did nothing, maybe there is a other approach used for Gizzie fans.
LOL about your joke about Gizzie's 25 fans, only on Livejournal, we have 505 fans and the first poll on Gizzie there, that had 48 000 votes, we ended up with 47% of the votes, 47% of 48 000 makes almost 23 000 Gizzie fans voting just on this site.

That said, many Gizzie fans have already left, thrown away the towel, stopped voting when they saw voting and winning polls made no difference whatsoever, and if you didn,t notice, the last three episodes before the strike were the lowest-rated ever

Wow...can all the GIZZIE fans do is blame Mer/Der fans? I'm not crazy about either couple of this show, but wow..instead presenting your argument for the two characters to be together in some mature, passionate, constructive way, you tear apart other fans as your argument? If that's all you got, then it's little wonder why Rhimes has decided to end them. You can even think of a reason other than "Mer/Der fans are worse" as an point to keep Geo/Iz together...Really, when you come up with one good point that doesn't include knocking all the characters and other fans around you then I think I might read it, otherwise, Shonda made the right choice. I don't suppose it matters though since all of you have now said you will quit watching....Let's see that's 19 million minus 25 viewers..now what does that add up to again? :)

You can block PMs on TWOP. I agree with the person above, its not TWOP's fault if you chose to not report or block nasty PMs sent to you. Additionally, the comments here about TWOP have been sweeping generalizations about TWOP posters. I regularly post on TWOP and see nothing as being described here.

If you are being attacked on TWOP by private message, there is a place you can complain and the poster will be banned. If you go public on TWOP with an attack then you will certainly be banned. It's not tolerated. It's not TWOP's fault if you choose to let someone privately attack you and not bring it to the attention of the moderators, but publicly, they are as strict as they come. Don't believe me? Go on there with half of the stuff I see posted above and see how long you or any fan of any of these characters last. I've seen people banned for A LOT less than what I see happening here. Get your fact straight and quit blaming all around you for what is happening to TV CHARACTERS.

Well for all you "gizzie" fans out there, i think most of you are pathetic. You are "so angry you cant see straight" over Shonda taking away the "only reason you watched" Grey's - get a life! First of all, George and Izzie? It was cute. It wasnt that great of a plot line, but they had some cute moments. Secondly, why do so many of you think Shonda has any reason to be "loyal" to you? Its her show, she can do what she wants with it. Its been great so far, have a little faith. And thirdly? It. is. a. tv. show. Jesus christ you people are ridiculous.

George and Izzie are the best couple and this news upset me, but the show is not over yet, and maybe down the line, Gizzie will get together without the adultery.
Those two are amazing together, I have always rooted for them, they just are soulmates IMO and they need to be together.
And yes, I am not giving up on them either.
