Yep I think the fact the ratings went down after Gizzie broke up speak way more loudly than a spammed poll.
A gang of us stopped watching after this happened. You betrayed us Shonda and we won't forgive you so soon.

I want Gizzie back too but with the haters spamming polls against them and cheating every way they know how, I don't think we will get it. There are ton of Gizzie fans out there but since we don't cheat, bully or threaten, we are being ignored.
I am done with this show, the bullies and the bad guys get what they want and we, who have been nice and respectful and have not cheated, are being ignored and stabbed in the back.
Every single one of my friends loves Gizzie, but I guess they don't post on the Net or threaten Shonda, so they don't count.
Your ratings went DOWN after Gizzie broke up, Shonda, take that into account.
I stopped watching after episode 8, where it was clear you meant to keep betrayiing us and I won't be abck until you find your guts and give us Gizzie back.

Yep thart poll is spammed. Over 24 hours there were 300 votes and now in the last minutes, 300 votes came in and Gizzie went down .3 points, in 10 minutes, there was as many votes as in 24 hours.
They are not even being that discreet about it, so sad.
I know there are sites that tell you how to spam those things. I knew some Liz and Jason fans on GH, they were about 50 and in about an hour, they were about to vote together 4000times, the poll was obviously spammed, it was another ABC poll. Their couple ended up winning with 82% of the vote, and it was obvious because they went from 30% to like 77% in an hour.
I really think they should not be doing polls as they are so easy to trick.
I find it sad that people have to resort to trickery to get what they want. I love Gizzie but I will not stoop that low.

I love Gizzie, they are why my family and I watch this show, 4 generations of proud Gizzie lovers in my family and I will never ever give up on them

LOL, Maddie, you believe in polls really? Those things mean nothing because they represent such a little part of the fanbase and because they are so easy to fix. But if polls mean so much to you, what do you say about 50% of the people on this site voting they love Gizzie together, there were 40 000 votes and more, or about the fact that on Teamsugar, 72% of the fans voted they loved Gizzie as a couple. Not everyone knows about the main fansite, in fact I would venture to say places like Fanforum have a lot more activity and members, most Gizzie fans do not post on ABC as this place is majorly anti-Gizzie, so the results do not surprise me in the least. Oh and US magazine asked if people wanted Gizzie together and 60% voted yes. Not that those polls mean anything, but if you want to quote one vote where Gizzie is doing badly, I can quote you several where they are doing great.
If I were the Gizzie haters, I would be more worried that the show asked the question, because why would they

That poll is spammed, LOL. I am neither pro or anti-Gizzie so I tested it out, voting both the pro and anti options equally. You know how many votes I got in? 150 votes, and every single time I voted it would go up. I have a dial up connexion that erases nmy URL every single time. Last time around, the poll was 50-50, but at the beginning, the Gizzie hate was winning, someone was spamming it, she even admitted it on one of the sites, then the Gizzie lovers figured out how to spam it too and it went 50-50.
On another poll I was reading, 100 000 people voted and 70% of the people posted were PRO-Gizzie, that poll was spammable too.
On BuddyTV, Gizzie won best couple showdown twice over all the couples, including MerDer, Lexzie was dead last behind George and Mer.
On this site a few weeks back, 48% of people wanted Gizzie together, 42% did not and 10% did not care. It had about 45 000 votes.
On another poll, Gizzie won second most popular couple on tv, not just Grey, just one

I am probably the only one who thinks this, at least on this forum, but Rose was and IS needed in this series -- for the time being at least. I have NO problem with the writers mixing thiings up with Derek and Meredith. I really don't think I could have taken any more back and forth garbage "well I love you today, can't handle you the next" stupid futility that most of you MER/DERs call your "only reasons for watching the show." I can't believe you want her character killed off -- for all I know, some psychos in here might even feel you want the actress herself harmed so she couldn't carry on as a role in the show. You all need lives, if that's the case.
There is immense talent throughout the cast. Let some of the other actors/actresses get the spotlight for a change. I also want to say that I am a male ICU nurse and the reality displayed in the medical cases in the show are remarkably better than any other, e.g., ER, Scrubs, et al. Here's hoping Grey's Anatomy is on

just stating information:
on the poll on abc.com it asks if izzie and george should make it work or if theyre better off as friends.. and a good 67% say they should be friends, (yeah thats a good two thirds), so no i dont think majority of fans are pro gizzie. i know not everyone votes but this is posted on greys main website so..

I can not wait until April 24th...Merder will probably won't be together until the last episode or the next season. It will be fun to watch the episodes leading up to that point. Der needs to realize what an A$$ he has been and he has hurt Mer yet again. I would rather that Mer not be pregnant. I rather that they get together because of love and not the fact that she is pregnant. That should come later. I can't wait...........

I think that Mark needs to help MerDer out by asking Der if he can ask Mer out, and see his reaction. I think in past episodes Mer and Mark understand each other and can just hang as friends, and I think it would totally get Der off Rose because he wouldn't want to give up two women to the same man... Or Mark could do Rose and Der could see that she is like all the other women with the exception of Mer, and he see's what a jerk he has been

What is most amazing about Gizzie except for the amazing amazing chemistry is the fact they are best friends too, they love each other no matter what. Couples fall apart most of the time because couples do not like each other or know each other like MerDer. Gizzie know each other inside and out and love each other anyhow. They are not only lovers and soulmates, they are best friends. And when you have a love like that, you don<t throw it away because it is easier sometimes, a love like theirs is worth fighting for.
They are also the only reason I watch. If they are nopt put back together, I will have to seriously consider finding another show
