I don't think I will watch after Izzy goes. Izzy and Alex have been my favorite since the show started and I'm glad they are back together and I am looking forward to seeing them develop as a couple again. I'm tired of Christina - boring! I will be done with GA if Izzy goes.

I so agree with Suzanna. Get rid of Izzie -- I'm tired of hearing her whine. Get back to the first season - where we saw Meredith trying to become mature while dealing with her profession, her mom's disease, and her sexuality. The whole show became too much of a high school drama, and Heigl/Izzie (in character and in real life) has often led the way. Get back to mature, real love relationships and mature, thoughtful consideration of the ethical problems faced by the medical profession. It was way more interesting!

Katherne's departure would open the door for another talent. I started out liking her and the character she plays. After watching several media interviews the young lady seems to have acquired a big head. The cancer diagnosis does lead one to imagine a possible departure at hand. I agree with Suzanna's comment regarding this "star". Go! The show will survive without you.

I liked Izzy in the beginning but I think the writers didn't keep her character true. Izzy actually annoys me at times. When Denny came on the show, I thought he was going to revive Izzy's character. I was so shocked and upset when he died. I wished he stayed on the show. I really don't care if Izzy leaves, I think I'd prefer it.
I was so in-love with Denny. The story, the man, his look, his smile, those dimples, his blinking eyes, his voice. I even love his stance ( hands in his pockets or out.) This whole thing is going to break me apart again. What a tease for us Denny fans. Hey how about a story line from Heaven? Have Izzy die and follow their Heavenly relationship. :)

From the last episode of Grey's anatomy I had the feeling Izzie will leave the cast... Denny kept saying he was there for her, maybe becasue she is dying and he is there to take her... well, don't know... but it looks she will leave greys anatomy :-(

she can't leave. she's one of my favorite characters. and without her there can't be the Izzie and George drama. and the show wouldn't be that interesting without it. she should stay.

I DO really think that Izzie/Katie is important to the show, I mean it's the same as with other Tv shows (like The O.C.): if a big character of a show leaves it the show will go down, REALLY down!
Besides Izzie is my favourite character and I LOVE Gizzie, the couple is the reason why I tune in every week...I just hav to say that I can't stand the idea of her leaving....I mean it's a bit understandable why she wants to leave but I still think that she owes it to the show to stay beacuse it made her what she is now and I think she shouldn't forget that altough I'm a big Katherine Heigl Fan
PS: Some of you guys should be more tolerant to opinions and statements cuz' some of your comments are just rude!

I don't know why everyone is saying she would fail as an actress. If she wasn't a good actress her movies wouldn't have been box office hits. If you think about it, she was the only really popular actor in Knocked Up and 27 Dresses(other than James Marsden). And for those who say her character sucks and hasn't developed...it's not like SHE'S the one writing it, she just has to act it. I'm sure she feels the same way sometimes. Honestly, I don't want her to leave but if she does, she will be missed. Stop being so mean to her, it's not like your opinion matters in this situation, considering you don't run the show.

Something tells me based on recent history, she isn't the kind of girl that keeps quite on any kind of issue. If she wanted out there would be hints in her interviews. She may not come right out and say "I want to leave Grey's" but I'm sure she would say something along the lines of "It's a lot of work." Something to hint at it being too much. Also she was very present for her show on the picket line. I just don't really see her leaving. If you took her away from Grey's than who would a lot of you love to hate? Who would you sink your little talons into then? Think about it. We all need her. Fans or No.

I actually heard about this a couple months ago from a friend who worked on Greys. This friend told me Katherine kept complaining about how she hated it and couldn't wait to get out.
Although, I think it would be awful/a little funny if she convinces them to kill her off and then her movie career flops.

Good riddance! Izzie is annoying and I wouldn't miss her character at all. In my opinion she's the weakest character in the show. Because of her story line I just view her as a home wreaker anyway. All her story lines have made her character weak anyway. Just my opinion on Izzie. As for Katherine, I saw Knocked up and it was good, I don't find her acting anything to write home about. I think she's overrated but again, just my opinion.

I agree with Lola above. If she leaves her working days are numbered (like Shelley Long).
She's an integral part of the cast and one of the main reasons I watch the show. Since she is still under contract, she's not going anywhere..and I wouldn't want her to.

As much as I would hate to see her go because I enjoy her character and her storyline, I'm deffinately interested to see how they would pull off her character's death. I'm an avid watcher of the L Word as well and back in their third season they killed off one of their main characters in a very dramatic and important way. She died of breat cancer which really impacted the audience in a meaningful way. Sure the show was never the same after that, but it sure made an important impression. So I think if they use Heigl's leaving the show as an opportunity to make a statement and send a powerful message, it could prove to be to the shows advantage as well as hers. It would be hard to watch, but I can't say that I'd be opposed to it. And she's such a great actress that I think she could pull off such a feat. Maybe that's just me. But I'm hoping to see more meaningful episodes of Grey's in the future. The multiple love triangles are kinda getting old. I need more. I want a deeper s

Katie- YOU ABSOLUTELY MUST STAY!!
For starters, I am a Gizzie fan.
Also, this is the ONLY show that I can EVER remember having so many VITAL CHARACTERS!!! Mer & Der are not expendable. George is not expendable. Izzie is not expendable. Christina is not expendable. Miranda is not expendable. Even Addie was not expendable. Her "spirit" lives on.
Izzie is VITAL to the show. I always got a kick out of her. But the world fell in love with the character that is Izzie Stevens when Denny fell in love with Izzie. and Katie is vital to Izzie's survival. She and Shonda and writers have built our beloved Izzie. So, NO KATIE- YOU CAN NOT LEAVE US ALL! As PD has often pointed out that GA has been so good to him, so has it been to you. Don't forget that!!!

Izzie and the Gizzie love story are why I watch, but if they are going for Lexzie again, who I hate more than life, she can leave. If Gizzie has a chance, she has to stay because I love them.

If Katherine leaves, it will not be the same. Regardless of what the writes are making her character do she is still part of the original Grey's Anatomy cast. It's going to happen all over again as it did with ER. All of the original cast started falling off. I stopped watching that A LONG TIME AGO! The characters make a show not just the writers. Who's next? Meredith? Give me a break! It's barely season 4 and already they are breaking off. I'll be seriously disappointed if this begins to happen to this show. Katherine has NOT out grown this show. Show a little loyalty for the fans that made you, my goodness!!!!

I watch for Gizzie and Gizzie alone, sorry MerDer fans, but I believe Gizzie is the best couple in the world, so if she leaves, I will too.
