i think katherine heigl is the kind of person that people love or hate.
personally, i love izzie the character; the actress, not so much. i'm sure her fans will be insanely disappointed if she left, but i'm totally fine with it. as long as meredith and derek and cristina and bailey are there, i'll keep watching!

YYYYYYEEESSSS she can go and the sooner the better, she was good in the first season that's all. Don't kill her character just fire her Shonda.
Out of GA out of the limelight is that fake diva really ready to accept?
Bring back Dr. Burke and get rid of George and it will make my day.

I highly doubt Heigl will actually leave the show. It is a bit predictable for her to be sucessful in movies only to ask to leave and quite frankly it would be an idiotic decision, as she kind of owes everything to GA.

Last year it was TR and we all learned he was never going anywhere. Now Katie, they just want to get people talking. Izzie is my favorite, I do love the whole show but Izzie and Gizzie are the main reasons I watch so of course I am hoping I am right and she is not going anywhere.

Until I hear it coming from her mouth, I'm not buying it. I'm just going to chalk this up to another stupid grey's rumor. If she wants to leave she'll find away to leave, if she wants to stay she'll find away to stay.
If I recall, I heard this same rumor expect they said it was Patrick Dempsey who was leaving and then the next time I heard this rumor they said that Sandra Oh was leaving. Who's next??? Eric Dane? T.R Knight? Chandra Wilson?

George and Izzie are my favorite couple and the heart and soul of the show for me. She leaves and I lose them, and I am not sure I will want to watch if there is no possibility of Gizzie ever reuniting.

i love the character of izzie and i would hate for her to no longer be a part of the show but i am unsure why katherine suddenly thinks she is to big for t.v.'s #1 show. If she wants to go so bad, let her go

i love izzie, but i do have to admit that she has become really different this season and part of the last. she's become selfish, but she wont ever change if there's no more of katherine heigl.

OMG,
Can I volunteer to come and help her pack. Please Let her GOooo!!! She brings nothing to the table on Greys. And I really NEED Shonda /Co focusing on Cristina's story line, Mer and Der,Alex/Ava,and to put Bailey's family back together again!!! There is too much work that needs to be done on this show. Trust me she will NEVER be missed and she can be replaced in a heart beat. For real!
There is no time to waste on Dizzy Izzie!! Seriously!!!

No. If Izzie is leaving the show will be in total disaster state. Izzie is my favorite, by far. The show is what made her a icon, famous! For gods sake, she's leaving what made her a star. Did anyone want her before the show? No. She is by far the best charcter. (I used to be all for Meredtih) And if she leaves...I don't know what to do.

I do not believe those rumors at all. She said recently she was happy doing both. Izzie cannot die, she and George have to be together.

I absolutly love Katherine Heigl and Izzie.... but even if she wanted to leave, didn't she just renew her contract until the end of Grey's fifth season??? Maybe she'll die in the fifth season finale....

Umm yeah. First, I don't want Izzie to go, like most. Second, Knocked Up and 27 Dresses (especially the latter) weren't even that good. So really, she doesn't have a whole lot to fall back on. Look at Patrick Dempsey. He had a couple good movies, and then it was over. Grey's was his saviour. KH shouldnt let a good thing go. Seriously.

I don't completely believe the rumor of Katie Heigl leaving, if she didn't want to come back, she wouldn't have signed her contract last year.....although...remember how she prolonged signing it? I guess I wouldn't be surprised if she wanted to leave, but that doesn't mean the network will let her go.
why can't people take a lesson from Friends? That show lasted a long time with the same cast AND was successful!!!
if they kill off Izzie, Grey's Anatomy will become the next O.C.! ...and I think we all remember what happened to that after they killed off one of their main characters!

NO!!!!!!!!! KATHERINE HAS TO STAY!!!!!!! it seems like all the good characters are leaving, and without them...the show crumbles. With Burke and Addison already gone, we need Katherine.

omg i hope this rumor is just that! it would so suck if she left! first burke then addison now this! and plus like what happens if her movie career goes downhill? she should have something to fall back on and that thing should be greys!

I really hope Katherine stays on the show-she is a great actress and her character is crucial for the success of grey's anatomy. First Burke, now Izzie? Man, all the good characters are leaving :( :( :(

I am not surprised that Katherine wants out - I could tell by her hiring two publicity agents and her attempt to get into the llimelight every chance she got (I know actors do that but the other one's on Grey's don't).
She used the Isaiah Washington incident to her benefit and even TR's private life to get publicity.
