Lori Loughlin Dishes on New Character
Don't call her Cindy Walsh.
While Lori Loughlin has nothing against the original mother on Beverly Hills, 90210, she says that her character of Debbie Millis is different.
"What I love about my character is she's not just the mom that's home parenting she's got a career!" Loughlin said. "She's a photographer she's in the workplace. She was making a move from the Midwest to California, so it's about her adjustment to her new lifestyle."
The Mills clan, as a whole, can easily be contrasted with the Walshes, as well.
"It's not the Walsh [family]," Loughlin said. "It's the same premise in the fact that it is a brother and sister moving from the Midwest to California, but other than that, they're not twins. One is my biological daughter [played by Shenae Grimes].
The other is my adopted son, who is African-American [played by Tristan Wilds]. So it's a contemporary family. It's fitting more of what's happening today in families."
