I have to say that I was just a little disappointed. I'm glad that the whole merideth and derek separation if over and that christina has her "groove back" and that george has a chance to be a regular again. BUT come on!!! The whole lesbian thing with callie and hahn??? What is that about? Can callie catch a break ever? From the beginning she has been the odd one out and it's getting a little old. She is one of the boldest, better characters and she's being wasted on dumb things like...people hating her for no good reason, being cheated on by someone that didn't deserve her in the first place, losing her position as chief, and now she a lesbian!?!?!?! NO WAY!!!! That needs to stop now before it goes anywhere. I can understand making hahn a lesbian becuase she's new and we know nothing about her as yet, but callie is just a little much.

I do think Derek had to walk away from Meredith to talk to Rose to show that he too had grown up. He's not going to make the same mistakes either. So I felt that was him acknowledging that if he wants M to trust him, he needs to be trustworthy.
Also, he couldn't do it pre-candle house because he didn't know that M was going to make the big gesture- last he knew, she was pushing him towards Rose.
So it was a redeeming moment for Derek.

OMG!!!!! this was THE best episode of GA so far....welcome back to the old GA!! i know it was a little rushed....but the writers strike caused it to end earlier and i think that shonda and co. still did an amazingly perfect job....the episode did everything for me...it made me laugh, it made me cry (lots), it made me angry, it made me happy, it made me breathless and speechless and it made me smile for the next 72 hours after....(and now my jaw hurts lots xD)the MD kiss left me light headed and speechless...and justin chambers was just amazing (there is no other way to put it) and his scene with izzie was just.....indescribable.....his acting was just perfect....EP and JC both deserve multiple awards for their acting in the last episodes....derek made me sob like a baby when he told meredith that he didnt want to work with her and he didnt want to talk to her etc. and i really really hated him...but after that i realised that he had to let it out to her at one stage....i mean how would

pfffffff I just hope that Shonda will be smarter than the people who are being harsh towards he callie/erica storyline and represent our society, which includes gay people! Also not everyone is sexy an goodlooking by the way. If you can say that someone is hideous... maybe you should pay yourself a date with your mirror, that might show you see what ugly is... especially inside!

I read on the ABC message board that we the fans need to do what we can to encourage the magazines to put Mer/Der on the cover since they have gotten back together. Maybe send some e-mails or something. Also, someone mentioned even e-mailing Oprah and have Mer/Der appear on her show together. I think that would be a great idea. We the fans all need to think about it and fiqure out a way to get our favorite couple back in the spot light!

Last epi was great. Can't wait for the next season. This is the best scene on the finale.

alexaholic: ok, I only read some of your first post and I agree that the show came full circle WAY TOO QUICK.
I needed to see more of Meredith and Derek. And I wish Derek would have at least gone back to break things off with Rose after meeting Meredith in the field (which was amazingly breathtaking and romantic) and then gone back to more of Meredith and Derek. I guess we'll have to wait on season 5 to see that part. I hated Meredith and Derek being apart.
I do not like Erica Hahn. That's pretty much it about her. I'm just not fond of her. I'm not sure if I like the whole Hahn and Torres thing either. It just kinda grosses me out but whatever works, works.
OMG!!! WHO THINKS THE TWO LOVE BIRDS THAT WERE IN THE CLINICAL TRIAL SHOULD HAVE LIVED? BOTH OF THEM? NOT ONE, BUT BOTH?

I enjoyed most of the finale, but if Shonda is going to go with Erica and Callie next season, I don't want Mark anywhere near those two. Mark deserves his own storyline, and if he is hanging around those two, he'll never have a chance of finding that special someone for him.

wow very good show. but please dont be cliche in season 5 and just because Der has to straighten things out with rose let him drive to wherever she is and get in an accident and end up in a coma or something,, would be so repetitivly hollywood. please dont do it.
and the comments about hahn, man, does everybody have to be goodlooking? i just wanna see the people that made these comments and their friend and see if they all are goodlooking and perfect. man grow up its not only the outside what counts its the inside too. some people are just so ignorant and shallow.

I think you're a bit harsh on Derek. He must be able to make some mistakes, he's just a human but I do think he's suffered from thw writers side. But it seems that you want to get some revenge, because he is not McDreamy 24/7. That beeing said, I think that Mer/Der have not been ready for each other yet. They've been trying and failing, but the basics are there! I've would propably have written it differentely, but hey, there's only one way for this show now, and that's up!

Okay, i know everything was a little rushed, but then again, until now i was soooo annoyed because nothing ever happened. They probably could've done better during the last couple of episodes, but given the circumstances this was pretty much as great as it could turn out for us fans!!
I felt like the entire season makes so much more sense now. Maybe you guys are right and it's put together a little too neatly but I wouldn't say it's all that unrealistic. i loved to her about meredith sitting in her mothers blood. It just made sense! And I loved even more that she figured out even if her mother was mean and definitely not the way a mother should be, she did love her in a way and she did want her to be happy! So in a way she now has her mums approval and can finally allow herself to accept good things to happen to her.
I just really hope Shonda keeps her promise and derek doesn't get run over or something. that would upset me sooo much, I thi

I just want to say that I think season 1 and 2 and 3 were amazing with a lot of twists and turns and secrets especiially what was going on with christina and burke and all that tension and action, lots of GREAT stroy lines and talk between the characters, but season 4 is a disappointment, i wouldn't watch one episode ever again... nothing strong in the storylines, everything just unfolded because it HAD to unfold otherwise it felt there was nothing to write or offer the viewers.... I felt no tension and i DIDNT feel moved at aLL by meredith or derek... I just actually felt SORRY SO SORRY for ROSE!!! that's not fair, that he hooks up with rose just like that hurting that girl's feelings and then kisses meredith like nothing happened and then tells her hey wait for me while i go BREAK A POOR GIRLS HEART AND THEN WHILE SHE IS CRYING OVER ME I WILL COME BACK SO WE CAN DO MORE??! THAT IS ULTIMATE SICKNESS. SICK SICK SICK!!! WHO THOUGHT OF THIS STUPID FINISHING!!! ITS DEREK WHO NEEDS ULTRA T

My answer :
THe reason she was having so much sex with mcSteamy is because she was trying to prove that she wasn' attracted to Erica, if you remember... it all started when Addison asked her about her relation hip with Erica. That hole thing is called DENIAL... which is more than common in our society.
I hope that Shonda will build a strong relationship for callie and erica, a female couple on tv would be a good change and so refreshing! I also want Lexie and George to have a chance!
Can't wait til season 5.

I just listened to a podcast on abc greys anatomy site with shonda and betsy were giving a breakdown and the final episodes and she has promised that derek will come back to meredith and he want get run over or end up with rose or rose is pregnant i guess we will just have to see if she keeps her promise as she did they they would end up together by the end of four and they were at the end

I wasn't very happy with the season finale lots of things were rushed but i also know that we had less episodes this season cause of the strike and so i understand that part.
i do feel that McDreamy has turned into McJerk i mean they could have had him breakup with Rose before the kiss with Meredith and the ending lost it's charm because of that.
but i honestly cannot go through another season if they break up this couple again

I loved the show since the moment I watched it because it one of the shows that doesn't have sappy hollywood ending.. everyone is not happy go lucky all the time and this season wasn't in my opinion good I think the big break in the middle had an affect on it. As a fan I look foward to the show everyweek and when it finally returned every eopioside I thought it would get better and it didn't.
This season Merdeith going to thearpy becoming a more cheerful person is not the merdeith or the character I knew at the begining. I know that If the show conitinue on this perfect hollywood mer/der couble and everyone in the eposide working out I will not conintue to watch the show. It is loosing its appeal as the different show I thought it was.
Is this "Greys Anatomy" all this happiness in one eposide?
