I don't watch a lot of TV, but I turned it on for a couple hours tonight and it was all about gays, lesbians, homosexuals, geez.... you would think that homosexuality is the norm and its a wonder that we have hetrosexuals at all. Queer is popluar and it is shoved down everyones throat. Every show on TV, every where you look, homosexuality is the buzz. I don't think the constant promotion of homesexuality is good and I guess we'll see if Californians agree after the election....

OK. I am also a Christian. Roman Catholic, actually. if you guys do not support homosexuality, then don't Just know it's out there. And it's about time someone put it on a popular tv show. It's in our world. It's all around. It's time to open your eyes. No one agrees with everything you do, either.

I don't want to go rocking any boats or offending any one of any faith. But has anyone noticed that nowhere on these boards do you hear "I am Jewish, and I find this disgusting!" or "I am Hindu and I cant stand gays!" It is always "As a Christian I am appalled by the gay story line." What happened to Judge lest not thee be judged.

I don't see any reason why if people are living their lives, loving one another, then why does it matter what gender they are?

I am pleased with how this story line seems to be written. It isn't all about gratuitous sex scenes or other ratings grabbers. It is covering a genuine subject, of what happens when later in life you begin to admit you may not be what you thought you were. My girlfriend is 37, she was 35 when she came out, after having a son and being married. There are thousands of people, men and women, millions maybe.. who are in the situation of social pressures and stigma's leading them one way when they are happier another. This storylin

@ Loaf and all the other narrow-minded people!!
wtf are you talking about? do you know anything about homosexuality and the precess of realizing that you're gay?? i don't think so, so don't talk about things you don't know anything about.
i came out as a lesbian at 16. ans yes, i really did never sleep with a guy and i'm not going to either.
BUT! there are definitely women out there you have been with men all their lifes or some were even married and have kids. -->and then suddenly fall for a women and realize that that's what they've been missing all their lives.
sorry dudes, but when i read comments like "as a christian i cannot support homosexuality and i'll stop to watch the show" I'm so fucking happy to live in a country were religion didin't completely screw up (moste of) the populations heads and makes them discriminate against others.
when it comes to being (gay-)tolerant, europe is way ahead of the usa.

i personally, really enjoy the growing relation ship between ca

Elisa - thank you, you took the words right out of my mouth! To all those narrow minded 'Christians' - if you don't like it, don't watch it, end of. But if you're just up in arms now because you think this is the first gay storyline in the shows history then go out and rent the boxsets!
I love Callie & Erica and I think Sara and Brooke bring a whole new dimension to the usual gay storylines we get on tv. As they said in the piece, they normally bring in a lesbian/gay character for an exsisting cast memeber to fall for, but here we've seen the friendship evolve before the relationship and I think that just gives us a new perspective on things.
Just remember that those that shout loudest in their protest of 'homosexuality as a sin' are normally the ones who are seriously insecure about their own sexuality. Those who throw quotes from the bible at 'sinnes' are those who have been sitting reading it for too long; the ones who forgot to go out and live the life god gave to them and s

What I don't really get, is that Joe (the bartender) and his boyfriend Walter have been in the show for I don't know how long, and they were trying to adopt a baby even before the whole lesbian story line came along!!! So then to all the people saying they will no longer watch the show if the lesbian couple stays: why the hell have you been watching it so far if there was already a gay couple in the show??? And may I just remind you, that in the bible it is stated to love each other. And also, to not throw the first stone only if you are free of sins. Loving is not a sin, no, not even if it's loving someone of the same gender. JEnny, I totally agree with all you said. And for the record, people don't 'turn' gay, some people just find out a little later than others. Maybe because some people try to put the thoughts in their minds that only a man can love a woman, and vise versa.

Hey, to all you prejudice people out their, STOP with the over dramatics. We need to reinforce Lesbian and Gay relation ships. You people just proved our point as to why we need to show the story line. It's about time to see something spicey with Grey's Anatomy. I'm a christian and from what I know people are suppose to be married before having sex. You were fine watching the show then, but you get freaked out when the topic of falling inlove with someone of the same sex occurs. RELAX it's a wonderful idea and i can't wait to see how their relationship develops. It's important to learn about other people and what they face. Maybe once you see the life they live you won't be so quick to judge and discriminate. Life is about change, everyone can't be the same or else life would get boring. Besides Callie and Erica are SEXY TOGETHER!!!!!!That's right I said to you juggemental paranoid people!!! Stop hating because your female lover hasen't knocked on your door. She will one day. And as fo

i hope it was only like what they did in ally mcbeal. Just a fling between Ally & Ling, nothing really serious.

Jeez some people are so stupid and narrow minded. Grow the hell up its a tv show depicting real life.would you rather be the kind of person to fall for someone for who they are on the inside regardless of whatever sex they may be or the kind of person who 'wont be watching greys anymore' because two good people grew close to eachother and acted upon it? im glad the writers are trying to reach out to every aspect of society to make the show as realistic as possible.
To those switching off next season: Its your loss - Losers.

Btw, I have to add that anyone who says anything about the whole dozens of people sleeping with other people in a hospital being unproffesional: Well, yeah, but it's true. My ex-stepfather works in a hospital as a nurse, and that's where he met his new girlfriend/fiance (not really sure where their relationship's at; I don't pay too much attention)... And it's not just him. My mom did lots of his co-workers' hair(s(?)) and I'm sure everyone knows how much people gossip to their hairdressers. That's how she found out about him in the first place. Not wanting any pity or anything - personally I think she's better without him - just stating that it is true that a TON of people have affairs in hospitals, moreso than in 80% of other work places.

ThisIsDisgusting: I think you need to look up the actual definition of marriage. Perhaps in the bible, the God means for marriage to only be between a man and a woman. Although, personally, I believe that God would say that if the two people repent before they die, He'd forgive them. It's just a sin like any other sin, and God always says that if you repent - even if you repeat the sin again and again (Jesus to Peter, Mtt 18:21-22) God will still forgive you, because once you have asked for his forgiveness, it is as if it did not happen. He has forgotten about it. As for the ACTUAL definition of marriage?? In any dictionary I have personally looked into (for a paper my senior year), I have never seen a definition that stated marriage had to be a union between a man and a woman. And, if you look up union, it also does not state specifically that it must be a man and a woman. Most of the time it said a man or a woman, which, any one with logical thinking, would conclude this to mean a ma

To those of you who call yourself 'Christian' in one breath and then judge those who are different to you in the next, I would like to point out that Jesus would have been proud to have carried a rainbow flag. After all, he championed the oppressed and loved his neighbour, no matter who his neighbour was. He didn't love his 'like-minded' neighbour. Perhaps you are simply scared of seeing something on tv that maybe you identify with a little more than you want to? Shonda, Sara and Brooke - society needs more brave writer/actors like you.

I get the most of my news about TV shows from afterellen.com (where there are close to no negative comments, at all) and I just had to comment here, to let everyone know that there is actually at least one person in the world who is surprised at the anti gay comments some people write.
And I don't understand how "people" can use religion, which is supposed to be a positive thing, right?, to legitimate hating other human beings. Let any GOD bless AE (a.k.a. the best site ever).

When Addison and McDreamy were looking at divorce they did try to put effort in to save their marraige. Divorce and adultery were not intially handled lightly on this show as a disposable union that many Americans seem to have come to view it. There was weight to it and it was emotional for the two who were married and the "dirty mistress's club".

I must say that while I have no major problem with a homosexual episode or two Gery's Anatomy has pushed it hard. It's not just an episode every once in a while, it is several episodes and now this turn of events. You might think that in Grey's a good quarter to a third of the population of Seatle is homosexual which is just not the case!

I'm tired of having homosexuality thrown in my face over and over again. It's starting to get tiresome, tedious, and boring. Not to mention that the level of drama, and who's sleeping with who just does not realistically portray a professional working environment. It has started to tax my abilit

The show is lamer than it has ever been before. First they take the testosterone off the show when Burke left. He was the only real reason anyone with some sense would even watch the show. After he left the show went down hill. Now they're trying to use the whole lesbian angle to boost ratings. This to all of you lesbians/homosexuals/hypocritical Christians who support gays and their agenda: You are LAME. Two women cannot do the job of man and woman. The popularity of the Burke and Christina story line will never be duplicated with this homosexual garbage. I still don't see how you lames do not see how you are being manipulated.

Okay I'm sick of this! If you are offended by homosexuality, then do us all a favor and please don't watch! Go for it, be my guest! Do what you feel justifies your existence but leave the rest of us in peace already. And for gosh sakes get off your high horses! No one cares about your interpretation of the bible! I've never understood why people get so uptight about GLBT people anyways? If you don't like the idea of a same-sex couple, easy solution, don't get into a same-sex relationship! But for the love of God leave them alone. I mean, do they run around personally attacking your relationships? I have a feeling that if/when God comes back to this great earth of ours he's going to be like: "I see that people truly grasped my idea of love for all...NOT!"
