For most people, when they see a series of stunning red dresses - covering a handful of beautiful ladies - they stop and stare. That's the goal of Project Red Dress, as the event hopes to raise awareness of women's heart disease.

One Life to Live actress Catherine Hickland is part of it.

"I have made so many great friends in Jonesboro. I don't even know how many times I come here anymore. Whenever I come here I eat at the same restaurants, I meet new people, I have great friends," Hickland told an Arkansas TV station.

The One Life to Live star will be in Jonesboro, Arkansas over the next couple of days promoting Project Red Dress.

"I lost my father to heart disease and my mom has had open heart surgery twice, so I really have to be interested in this, " she said.

The red dress is a symbol for women and heart disease awareness, as these outfits will be on display around the southern city, most often at The Mall At Turtle Creek.

Proceeds raised through Project Red Dress will benefit the Cardiology Associates Foundation.
