I agree with adrian. Secondly, if, infact, all of the speculation about katie heigl is true, the writers shouldn't kill her off, because she then gets exactly what she wants.
however, maybe none of this is true. ...I'm trying to see the positive for as long as I can.

I do not care. Izzie sometimes gets on my nerve, just as the rest of them do. As a professionnal, Katherine Heigl is good, her career is hot and her ego must have gotten to big. She will not be the first actor/actress to think that 3 1/2 years on a hit show paved her way to glory. Her comments regarding the Emmy were ungreateful, I think. If Izzie dies, then other characters, like Lexie, will have a little bit more space.

That girl is going nowhere I believe that this whole thing has gotten out of hand. If you really think about it she is right. however, she could have expressed herself in a different light. I just hope this whole issue will dissapear. I am ready for the DVD and season 5 to start. I guess everytime we hear her name this issue will come up just like what's his face. But I am getting off topic I think that people should move on. It isn't gonna help if the subject keeps repeating it's self. I hope that she makes amends with the creator and the others and put this thing behind them I hope.

Katherine should be kept on the show but not written in a lot of the episodes so she is getting "punished" but she is not released to work on films. She only has two years left on her contract. She should be grateful she has a movie career (all due to the show) and suck up the next two seasons. How ungrateful of her.

I think they'd be stupid to kill her off. The only reason I watch is for her since Addison left. So if they got rid of her there'd be no reason for me to watch anymore.

I like izzie but i dont think her and george make a good couple,it'd be interesting to see what would happen if they did kill her off,anyway enough about izzie please please bring addison back and get her and mcsteamy back together!!

I love Izzie, but I think it's her time to kick the bucket.
Denny's dead. She and George are screwed up. So she doesn't have much of a story line anymore. And plus, it's quite obvious Heigl doesn't appreciate her role, so just give her what she wants.
And to Jennifer;
You said people would stop watching the show if Izzie died, but being an Izzie fan myself, I'd have to keep watching just to see if the show could survive without her ;)

I think it would do WONDERS for the show to get rid of her. Heigl is a plastic actress; let her run off to her film career, where she will excel at re-playing the same character again and again. Izzie's character on GA is far too melodramatic and, quite honestly, pathetic.

Ok-here's my thought--remember "really old guy?" Put her in a coma for the rest of her contract-but the twist-wait for it-she's the one pregnant this season after having the sympathy sex with Alex at the end of last season! We could see Izzie (the way we love her) through flashbacks and what she may be thinking or hearing (if Katie Heigel is playing nice) or just have our favorites eat lunch in her room (when she's being stupid.) I can't help but wonder though. . .is Isaiah Washington somewhere in California shaking his head and saying "Katherine Heigel should just not speak-ever."

Shonda is not stupid, to kill character izzie is a mistake, it would be going to lose many fans.
At this moment with the descent of the audiences in this 4 season to death of the izzie, was almost the death of the show. (it already lost many characters).
She was not daring writing this history. We are going to see the history izzie/alex evolving.

The writers of the show can't pull off something like killing Izzie and still keep the show as good as it has been. If they do kill off Izzie's character, the show would probably suffer a lot...

wtf are we still talking abt this?!...she is sooo boring...if she want´s to go just go already! I´ll be happyer then ever...
I know she has a contract and its not so easy but I would just kill her to get rid of her...but on the other hand I wouldn bcz then she would get what she wanted...
the bottom line dont kill her bcz she is so annoing and I dont want that she gets what she wants bcz it not fair to others...
how possible could shonda write her death and that it gets better then drama with meredith and drowning-it cant be better than that
