I loved Addison's character on Grey's but I also liked her in Private Practice. However, I do agree that Addie belongs in the OR. But I'd rather she transfer to another hospital in LA instead of going back to SGH. I like PP's cast better than Grey's... If Mark Sloan's character will transfer to PP, PP will be perfect!

Addie is amazing. Private Practice is okay, but nothing on Grey's and it doesn't feel like you're watching Addison, it feels like you're watching Kate Walsh playing a completely different character. I miss the original SheShepherd, BRING HER BACK IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!

i miss her so so so much on grey's!
i loved her cameo, and if she came back i would be so happy.
private practice is okay, it's growing on me. i think its only because i miss addison so much.

Well, well... Seattle Grace needs a ob/gym, and chief loves her, so, why not? I do want her to come back, but I also want her to stay in LA... I think neither Seattle nor Seattle grace holds too much for her... But it would be great!

I like PP and it did well for an only nine episodes first season. Addy and the cast are all very good natural and likeable professionals. The show storyline is different from GA. Apart from Dell, they are all matured adults established in their professional life and wanting to settle or restart their personal one.
Addy wanted to turn the page on the mess she got herself in lately and have a new start, she got the courage to do it. It's natural that in the process she felt weaken and uncertain. I really hope, as in the spoilers for S2, that she will recover her full confidence in herself.
I wouldn't like her back to GA unless extreme necessity and in that case she should have a proper storyline and life, not back to Mark, Karev or even Derek. She's a smart, witty and charming world renowned neonatal surgeon who deserves better than a two lines per episode and be an obstacle to another couple's love.
Finally, I'm more waiting for PP season premiere than GA.

PP got "good ratings" and "looked good on paper" only because people were watching it to see Addison. Honestly, it wasn't a very good show! I think that a big part of the reason Season 4 didn't get an Emmy nomination was because the spice and character conflict Addy and Burke brought to the show was missing. I think we'd all rather see Addison on Grey's and I think it would spike Grey's ratings way up and also return the show to its previous quality. Bring her back!!!

actually, kate walsh is my favorite actress. and was my favorties character on grey's. but i heard, if PP doesnt go well, that she might not go back to grey's. so if PP is where she's goign to been seen the most. then keep her on

Tell we very the Bring-back-Addie Pedition is and I'm the first to sign it.
Addison belongs to Grey's Anatomy. But nobody of the "officals" has the guts to say, okay we tried something new with PP it didn't work, we bring Addison bakc were she belongs. And I honestly don't believe that a full-blood surgeon like Addison would really give up being a surgeon. Maybe for a couple of month but not for every. I'm all for Addison needed some kind of time out = PP to get her stuff together but the time is up now, she is needed back at GA. How come that so many people think the Addie is back episode was one of the best in season 4?

NOOO!!! i don't mind the actress but i don't like her character on the show cuz if she came back it will be the same thing she comes takes McDreamy away from Meredith and then she's going to cheat on him with McSteamy and then its going to be a repeat of the seasons 2 and 3 and she already has her other show Private Pactice!!!

you want to know what would be amazing if addison came back and callie, who was like her best friend in that past season was pregnant with marks baby and like callie didnt want the baby and so she gave it to addison and mark and addison lived happliy ever after ofcourse there would be alot of drama and contraverse in between that considering the fact that mark and callie had a relashionship and addison is close to both of them that would be an interesting quadruple love storymark in love with callie and addison addison in love with mark and starts to have lesbian feelings for erica b/c shes been spending alot of time with them since shes getting the baby,and also shes afraid of losing callie as a friend, erica in love with callie and gets a crush on addison and mark and erica start liking eachother AND THEN Dr. Pete wilder (tim daly) comes from private practice to admit his love for addison and how he cant live without her and all hell basically breaks lose

i mean if her show is going well, i guess leave her at private practice. that show is funny and entertaining enough, but i LOVE her on grey's. i think it's only fair that they bring her back if private practice starts drowning.
and i totally agree if we have baby mcsteamy, merder back together (for good!) AND a pissed off rose... bringing addy back would be the best grey's ever!!

I love Private Practice & I love Addison.
It is a far more grown-up & enjoyable show than Greys.
Too bad Greys fans want her back, cos she ain't going anywhere.
I laugh at everyone jumping on the criticism that Addison has been 'dumbed down'. If Addie has been dumbed down on PrP, god only knows what level of immaturity the Greys characters possess.

What a naive post generalising about a one-sentence question that was asked by a GA fan on TV Guide.
No real Addison or Kate Walsh fan would want her back on GA where she was wasted in a large cast with 2 seconds of screentime a week. I mean SERIOUSLY ???
Why would Addison stay in Seattle with her ex-husband, ex-lover, & ex-one-night-stand ? I mean PLEASE !!!
GA fans must be seriously unhappy with GA itself if they are still pining for the return of a character.
Thank goodness Kate Walsh has moved onto better things.
Even if PrP did tank (HIGHLY unlikely - as an earlier poster said it was the HIGHEST RATED new drama, & easily beats Ugly Betty, Heroes etc), Kate would move onto other roles. She already has 2 movies awaiting release. PrP doesn't need to be a crap show with 18m viewers, it can be a quality show with 12m viewers.
What an insult to Kate & PrP fans this post is.

Addison is by far my favorite character created by the GA team. I agree that she was dumbed down for Private Practice. I did like the show, though. I think that we should give PP a chance to flourish, but if it didn't cut it, I would love to have Addison back! I don't believe that Addy's story is over. The writers on GA are so talented I know they could continue with compelling material for her!
