Yeah. Give EP an Emmy already people. Awh, i can't even bring myself to watch the sneek peak again. I watched it all of 2 times. If i even see the images up again... even without sound my heart starts racing n the tears form. BLAH! so not good. But yeah. TOTAL DREAM SEQUENCE. I hope that the season premiere opens with it. Would be a great beginning.

Definitely a dream sequence.
First off, we've seen Derek in other previews.
Second, we know that the season starts out a few weeks after the finale left off. And Meredith is wearing the same outfit that she was in the finale so the timeline is off.
Third, Shonda has already said that this won't happen and that this will be a happier and more exciting season. What is happy and exciting about Derek dying? nothing.
Now I'm just eagerly awaiting the 25th!

I have seen episode 3 photos on spoiler TV. Derek is in 2 of them, so obviously hes not dead. IT IS A DREAM!!! I dont even think its a flashback because derek wouldnt be back at work two weeks after an accident like that. I think that with Rose that is Dereks worst nightmare as the accident would be merediths

Obviously, portions of the season premier are a dream hence the title "Dream a Little Dream of Me" - and it has pretty much been confirmed that Jefferey Dean Morgan is in the season opener so I'm sure he's in someone's dream - more than likely Derek's -
This is exactly what writers/producers want.......everyone waiting w/ anticipation, speculating on what happens, increasing the viewing of the Season 5 opener - good call on their part.

It's horrible! an horrible feeling, watching this! The writers surely can play with our emotions... I was weeping and wanted to cry like Meredith!
But it can't be real. Like the title said, and as we all believe, it's probably just a dream. We're in Meredith's imagination as she realizes she can't live without him... It's a way to show how much she loves him and how much she's afraid to lose him for good... But it won't happen, they're gonna be fine, finally, and we all know it!

After watching this promo.... I know it is a dream I am seriously not stressing about this anymore.
Losing Burke and Addison were big blows to GA's fan base... They wouldn't kill off Derek because he is a major (but not the only) reason why people still tune in on Thursday nights. I love the show and ALL the characters but I can honestly say that if he was gone I wouldn't be as dedicated to the show as I am now.

he can't die! remember the promo... mer and derek were talking together and mer was all ready out of her candle night clothes...( they were talking about getting MARRIED!!!!!) so it has to be after the 'accident'. and was also talking to rose... so it can't be real
this is the one mer is dreaming about!
but it's still horrible!! hearing mer screaming like that :S it's awful
i can't wait till the 25th!!!!!!! xD

The shots have been ordered chronologically and the accident thing is the last one.That does not explain the Meredith cloths I admit.
After 4 seasons they' ll have to avoid repetition and triviallity which could mean to sacrifice some of the major
characters. Burk went away,Addison as well And Izzie seems
to be the next one.
Meredith is the only leading character, Derek is her hot addition and on the same board as Izzie.

I agree with HeLeNa.....Rose isn't telling a zombie that she is carrying his child right. and look at all those promos, pictures and all (that means you "fan of the show").... A zombie isn't butting heads with that millitary doc, and a zombie isn't asking Mer to get married....and Mer isn't asking a zombie to move in!!!!! we know the sneak peek is the candle field night..duh....! just face it they are NOT going to kill off the leading guy. And if you still think he really dies answer me this.....why would Shonda throw her whole show/career in the toillet??? and why would abc let her????

It has to be a dream coz if u think about it logically;
- Meredith is wearin the same clothes as from the candle house so it would of have to been that night when it happened
-but, if derek died that night he couldn't be in the promos for the first episode because he would have already died so wouldn't be there
so logically NO DEREK IS NOT DEAD it's a dream!!! (i did cry though) go ellen!! emmy just for that amazing acting!!
