Yea, I totally agree with you, they need not go throught the whole dying and coming back to life thing again. It's way too dramatic, can't we just have some happy the first episode back? Is that SO much to ask Shonda?

Yeah, i honestly don't think they'd revisit the same Meredith dies goes to limbo land see's dead people then chooses to live again thing. Doubt that very much. So that's why it has to be a dream. Also, if he did die.. which he won't but still, if he did... he wouldn't see Denny. He had absolutely no real connection with Denny when he was alive... so there is no reasoning for him to see Denny. If anything Derek would see his Dad or something...maybe to give some more background to Derek's character. But yeah, Derek doesn't die. It's a dream. so BLAH! hehe.

Obviously, Derek dies. More than likely it's a dream... but he could "die" the same way Meredith did when she drowned. If you remember, they gave up on her (although they never called it) twice! So whatever it is, dream or not, he isn't going to die. It's just so frustrating because it seems so predictable and against everything Shondra said on her last podcast (Rose will not be pregnant and Derek will not be in an accident or lose his memory).

Yeah it just has to be a dream. Derek can't die. DAH! Also, i find it comical that the dialogue used in the sneek peak... goes something like "a bus swerved and he tried to miss it but...". And the fact that Shonda Rhimes said in the post season 4 finale podcast that "No Derek won't get hit by a bus, or anything like that. Derek won't die." That just proves that it's a dream. I think Meredith either has that nightmare and wakes up next to Derek... whilst screaming, or she has a recurring dream and she is forced to talk about it.

It's a dream!!! it has to be!!! Derek cannot die!! Grey's anatomy without him = NOTHING!!!
It's just a bad dream, Meredith will wake up and find Derek by her side!!
But in this case, one of the four propositions of the quizz is real so, in my point of view, it's a premonition - (Dream) like in another tv show... Derek may have a heart attack and will see Denny's ghost. SO maybe Meredith will forsee with this dream that something bad will happen!!
I look forward to be the 25th!!! I can't wait anymore!!
My imagination, and my own scenarios will kill me!!! I can't stop thinking about what I've seen in the sneak peek!! God!!! It's gonna be a great episode!!!

all of us true fans that listen to the official podcast know that it's not real. the sad thing is all the people who aren't as obsessed as we are will probably see this and think it's real.

But i don't know, doesn't a dream just seem too predicable? But then again, I really doubt that Shonda would show us that if it was real, unless it was for rating purposes? I mean if i wasn't excited about the premire before, I AM ESTATSIC NOW!!!!!!!

If Derek dies, Meredith will break down. Meredith will kill herself. She's tried before she'll do it again. End of Grey's Anatomy.
He can't die. He just can't. NO way. They wouldn't show it in the promo.
Everyone would stop watching Grey's Anatomy. Plus in the end of season interview with Shonda she promised that there would be no accident and no Derek death. She promised. So it just can't happen. It just CAN'T.

It is a dream no doubt. Hence the title of the episode, "Dream a Little Dream of Me." Since the theme im guessing is going to be about dreaming then I think Denny will come back as a dream. Possibly Izzie's dream? I sense dreams in many of the characters. I love the intense moment by Meredith. How many times have you seen Meredith burst into tears like that over someone? From there you can tell that she is whole and healed because she cares so much now. I cant wait for Greys :)

I don't think he dies cause the second episode is about a husband who has received a telecommand on the head and they find that he has a tumor, and the point to this case is to help Meredith learn the importance of talking in her relationship with Derek. Also, I am still not sure about real or dream because in her podcast about the last episode of last season, Shonda promised that Der will not be hit by a bus and lost his memories of what happened in the candle field and also that Rose is not going to end up pregnant by Derek( she issues a statement about that) So, the accident is it real or not? but even so Derek will be alive at the end of the episode and don't forget they bring back Denny Duquette, so maybe he will have a talk with Derek, telling him the reason why Meredith came back from the dead... Finally, tell almost call it when Meredith was on the gurney, it is Christina whom insist and she came back almost at the same moment that they were going to call it....

So here's my theory, this is the flashback that happens, because remember what Ausiello said? It would be a FLASHBACK? I do have to admit unfortunately, that I cried. I really felt for Meredith right then in those last twenty seconds or so. That scene was definitely Emmy material. So why doesn't she have one yet? Can't wait for season 5, it's gonna be a heartstopper!!!!

This one is in Mer's imagination. If Derek's in the rest of the episode, then it's impossible for him to die. And someone would have noticed if he wasn't on the set this whole season.

SERIOUSLY... THEY REALLY NEED TO STOP HAVING ALL THESE PROMOS THAT ARE EVENTUALLY GOING TO GIVE SOMEONE A HEART ATTACK.
