i am soooooooooo mad!!! rose's lips dont move much when she talks anyway so IDK... but that is not derek's car or meredith's... and i know for a fact that that is christina getting hit by a piece of glass/ice... but i do think that some portion of this episode is a dreabut derek's not meredith's... and that doesnt look like meredith screaming... AND IF THAT MORON OF A NURSE IS PREGNANT... IM GOING TO LIGHT HER ON FIRE!!!

I have second thoughts on that girl screaming, at first I know it's meredith but when I saw it on TV it didn't look like her. Maybe I'm just delusional.
I don't believe Rose is pregnant, the way her lips move. Idk.

I'm hoping it's all one big nightmare too. I mean, you'd have to be a complete and utter MORON to kill off McDreamy. And an even bigger complete and utter MORON to have ROSE BE PREGNANT! I mean seriously!
I also think Mer's screaming over Christina. But it very well could be she's screaming over Derek, which could be a very good sign of their relationship (that is, unless the same complete MORON who mortally wounded him was being serious and Derek really was hurt, and not just part of a dream sequence...)
As far as the rest of the promo goes, ROSE IS NOT ALLOWED TO BE PREGNANT, Derek doesn't get hit by a car, Christina finds someone, and the Rose/Derek thing is all one big nightmare. Gosh I really gotta stop watching these almost 24 days before it starts up. All that's going to be going on in my brain is GA, and no Geometry, or English!

I can not believe what I just saw. I have been replaying it over and over again. I hope Rose is not pregnet. I think some of you are right with the dream thing. At least I have time to take it all in.

I think it's ice that hits Christina - it fits in with Callie asking to frezze someone and what Brooke Smith said in her interviews about the opening two having something cool with ice in.
I think the promo is set up to make us think that Derek is hurt and Rose is pregnant .... I can't see Shonda lying about it ...

Okay. Here's what I am thinking:
1) Rose is going to go into a big breakdown and tell Derek that she's pregnant.
2) I am going to go ahead with the familiar looking guy on the table, yes, it does look quite a bit like Derek, but why on earth would Shonda kill off the hottest character on the show?
3) I have to agree with a lot of you guys, I think Meredith is screaming over Cristina, because if you pause when the glass shard hits someone, you can just tell it's a female resident, and since Cristina always where's her cell phone and pager on her waistband, you just know it's her.
4) Yes, I agree with leliforever, Ellen does look very different in that clip.
Can't wait for season 5!!!
I am terribly impatient when it comes to new episodes, so I am shaking like crazy, it's all I can think about.

Okay, Anna i love that anwser, i totally think they could have crashed the car. And Christina will be fine in my opinion, because she falls in love with the Scottish dude. Does anyone know how many series Shonda is thinking of doing roughly? Is this the last one?

My opinion is this:
1)About the glass thing,(I believe) it's definately Christina cause she's the one wearing a black blouse...
2)At the sergical table we can all say that is Derek...His nose is tha exact same guys...But I believe it's a dream cause if u read TV Guide's report about exclusive first look of GA Season 5,u'll see that Ellen says 'when season begins,u find me trying for the candles to stay on' (or sth like that I don't remember it exactly)...So,maybe as she waits for Derek to come back fron tha stupid bitch (I'm going to kick hea ass if I meet her...),she falls asleep and has a dream of Derek being killed of an accident (remember her doctor saying that she's reallyt frightened?)
3)And now tha stupid bitch...I honestly have no idea what the hell is going on...She definately can't be pregnant,that would be too...too...usual!Is she lying because she can't leave Dertek (which I prefer to be cause I can hate her with no guilty!)???Is it a dream that Derek has as he drive

So im thinking on the positive side here:
Shonda said that rose wouldn't be preggers n derek would not get hurt, so i'm thinking of ways that all that is being shown to get viewevers hooked n want to watch it. Rose is making up the stuff about being pregnant to try n keep derek n split him n mer up (witch ain't gonna happen). You know how in one of the spoilers it says that many of the medical problems involve couples that can help mer and der well i think that derek like that is just mer imagining derek in some other couples situation to help them. The glass is most likely cristina luks jst lyk her n mer screaming at end is for cristina not derek n obviously cristina survives as she aint goin out the show, i also think that there is more to the episode than what in preview coz otherwise shonda would have just given away the whole episode n y would you watch the episode so thats jst what i think i'm jst trying to look on the brightside n hope that der is not dying plz plz plz... I sta

I'm just hoping it's all one big nightmare. I thought Izzie was supose to have a brain tumor and see Denny. Meredith saw him when she almost died. This could be very interesting for the exception of Rose. Is she ever going away. She needs to be in the same mental ward as Ava.

I knew Rose was pregnant!!!!!! I knew it!!!!!!! I HATE HER!!!!!!!! Ugh seriously I hope she dies!!!!!!!!! Or she is lying cause she is crazy!!!!!!!!!!
And that can't be Derek I mean it looks like him but it can't it just can't that would be awful and he would'nt die because that might just seriously be the end of Grey's Anatomy!!!!!!!!!

I honestly think that it's Derek on the gurnee, and Cristina getting hit with the shard of glass, and I think it's Meredith having a really bad dream...and when Rose tells Derek she's pregnant, I think that's also in the dream...I have no idea though, that's just an opinion.

I'm surprised no one has thrown out thatcher grey being the main on the table. He was a classic drunk, so I could see him coming flying into the hospital...might explain where a glass bottle might come from too.
and if Rose is pregnant I quit the series. I cannot handle the stress!

First and foremost, I really think I might cry right now, so I'm putting myself into denial until the season comes.
The promo is probably so intense because they're trying to get the viewers back that they lost from the writers' strike.
and something seems off, why would Shonda allow all of that information to be put in the promo? Why wouldn't she save that kind of information to shock everyone during the show? Last super bowl episode, she wouldn't even let us know what kind of accident there was. and now she's letting us know that Rose is pregnant, and Derek is hurt, and there was a proposal?
There is obviously bigger and better things in store for this season! I can't wait!!!

At 0:41, if youpause/slow-mo, you can see McKidd's character opening the blinds with Cristina behind him. Cristina looks like she's wearing a hospital gown. Guess the icicle/glass thing is real.

i bet rose has a huge breakdown, lies and says she's preggers with Dereks baby or has a miscarriage, then tries to split him and Mer but crashes the car with her a Derek in it!
