Gossip Girl Round Table: "Chuck in Real Life"

at .

As fans sound off in our Chuck in Real Life" include sexy outfits, Chuck turning the tables on Blair, and the paradox that is Vanessa  ...

1. What was your favorite Gossip Girl quote from the episode?

DANdy: This is an easy one. Chuck to Vanessa: "Did you have a reason for coming to see me? Because if it was to insult me, there's a website you can go to." Thanks for the shout out, Chuck!

Mister Meester: This exchange: Chuck: "My, that girl has gotten under your skin." Blair: "The question is, Bass - will you?" Oh, Blair, you dirty, dirty girl.

Gossip Guy: As much as I want to give my favorite quote to Chuck like I do almost every week, this time it was from an underdog... Eric. I loved his line, "Who watches TV on a TV anymore?" Yet another awesome example of Gossip Girl poking fun of itself. (The show is mostly watched on the Internet, people! Woo, tough crowd.)

2. Less believable: Nate living alone, sleeping on the floor with the power turned off, unbeknownst to anyone else, or Dan playing soccer?

DANdy: Considering how impressed Dan seemed to be by Nate simply bouncing a ball off his knee, gotta go with the latter.

Mister Meester: Anything that involves Dan and balls is too big a stretch.

Gossip Guy: Nate. How does he get those delicious man bangs without running water and his highly lit vanity mirror. That hair doesn't just happen people! Now if they said Dan was good at soccer, I wouldn't have believed it.

3. Do you like Vanessa?

Mister Meester: Everybody, from my colleague Gossip Guy to Gossip Girl book series author Cecily von Ziegesar, hates Vanessa on the show. But I maintain there's a great character deep down, she just hasn't gotten the right story yet.

Gossip Guy: Was this question put in for just me? I think we all know my answer. I loathe, despise, abhor, detest, and "any other word for hate you can come up with" Vanessa. So no, I don't like her.

DANdy: I like how she manages to show up at the Humphreys' apartment, the school and pretty much anywhere the show needs her to be, at any time. For someone supporting herself with a job and being home-schooled, girl has a seriously flexible schedule!

4. Hotter: Blair in that lingerie, or Serena in that dress?

Gossip Guy: OMG. Why would you make a man choose between two things of such beauty? Serena may have the looks, but I'm a sucker for lingerie. Go Chuck. You have willpower beyond any mere mortal. You never cease to amaze me.

DANdy: The answer would have been Blair... until Serena told Bart she wasn't wearing ANY lingerie under that dress. Double gulp!

Mister Meester: The Blair-Chuck love scene was amazingly sexy, but even that can't compete with the hottest dress in the history of human civilization.

Sulking

5. Do you prefer Chuck chasing Blair, or the reverse?

Gossip Guy: Chuck Bass already proved he can win Blair Waldorf over no matter what. Now let's see what the queen of getting what she wants does. I'm obsessed with Blair's manipulative plans. They make the show go 'round.

DANdy: Chuck can only act like a Basshole for so many episodes. I'm excited to see how Blair Wal-dork (you can use that one, Chuck) acts as the pursuer.

Mister Meester: He finally gets to bag the girl of his dreams, but then decides he wants the deeper, emotional connection he himself denied her in the season premiere? Bravo, Schwartz et al., for this latest twist - let's see how B fares!

Blair: That little troll Vanessa's working my last nerve.
Chuck: Not what I expected.
Blair: Until I realized, this could benefit both of us.
Chuck: You had me until "troll."

Chuck: Waving the white flag, are we?
Blair: Not exactly.
