Rebecca Budig to Leave All My Children in 2009
The All My Children rumors are true:
Rebecca Budig will be leaving the series when her contract runs out in the spring of 2009. She told SOAPnet.com:
"My life is in California. I had hoped it would be a lot easier than it was to live bi-coastally. But it's really tough; our [she and husband Bob Guiney] life is enmeshed there. We put down roots there."
We'll miss Rebecca Budig when she exits All My Children next year.

As for myself I truely understand where Rebecca Budug is coming from wanting the best marriage she can have. She made a choice to leave the show to continue her marriage with her husband. I just hope she doesnt give up on her dream of being an actress because when you give up on your dreams you kill yourself on the inside. I miss you on AMC. Come back Greenlee please.You need to still act. AMC fan since since 1992 when I was Ten.

This has gotten rediculous! Although I liked Rebecca in the role of Greenlee better than the former one, the fact that she only came back for a year really was wrong. How many time can one soap kill off a character and bring them back...get one and keep her..or write out her character all together, these soaps have enough disappointments as it is!!

I have been trying to figure/find out if Rebecca left the show or will they have an episode where she pops up somewhere after a week or two but from what I'm reading I guess she left for now.

Lol, apparently, none of you are married, and if you are, you don't take marriage seriously. There is plenty of room for Rebecca to return. For the rest of you, get over it.

This sucks. Please stick to one greenley. How many times will she die. If the girl was not going to stay then why the hell did she come back.. she just messed up a good storyline.

I think RebeccA Budig should have given more thought about having a marriage in California and a career in NYC .She comes back to AMC and then decides this is not working.Which in turn took a wonderful actress who replaced her role She took this others womens job ,career and livelyhood.Rebecca should be ashamed of herself.Who does she think she is? Not even that great of an actress.She is as spoiled in real life as in the show .I feel bad for the other actress who played Greenlee Rebecca Budig needs to get over herself.As an AM fan since 1970 my feeling regarding AMC have gone way down .

Rebecca Budig should be ashamed of herself...she took away a great actress and person's job. The other Greenlee was grateful for her job on AMC and she was told she would get 5 years contract..then Stupid Frons wanted Budig back and to hell with the nicer actress.
I think the other Greenlee had more chemistry with the actors and I really liked her. But if they ask her to come back, as much as I would love her to, I think she should Spit in their faces after the way they lied to her and treated her!
Rebecca knew she was coming back for only a year or so..she knew she would not stay away from her husband for long.
She is Selfish and like I said, should be ashamed of herself! Goodbye, we won't miss you!
