So then is Derek a jerk for cheating on his wife twice with Mer? Is Richard one too? Is mark a jerk for cheating with his best friend's wife? Is Alex a jerk for cheating with a married woman andcheating on Olivia? One mistake does not make him a bad guy. Yes he was hurt when Mer cried, every human being on the planet would be but since then, he has taken SOLE responsibility for the whole thing when Mer was half to blame. Even Cristina knew George had a thing for her and Mer was too self-centered to. Yet George took full responsibility and protected her from her dad even when he was angry with her.
Has Alex ever apologized or taken responsibility for his disgusting actions, the stupid bitch to izzie, the cheating on her, the verbal abuse, the screwing with a amrried woman? No he didn't, but George has taken responsibility for Mer and Gzizie, which makes him a lot more of a man than Alex will ever be. 1. No he doesn't. Yes, he cheated on his wife (not good), but so did Der... it just means he's human. His wife should have known better than to have married him when he was grieving like that and not acting at all like himself. I liked Burke and all, but he needed to be outed about that hand before he ended up killing someone or destroying Cristina's carreer. The sex with Mer thing just stunk all around. He was so into her. Neither of them made a good judgement that day. So, he's not flawless. But he cares about people and treats patients as people. And 99% of the time, he treats his best friend, who he loves unconditionally, fabulous. He's there for her. He supports her. Except lately, b/c the writers seemed to have forgotten that they are best friends.
2 - Alex is sometimes there when he is needed. In agreement there.

No. 1 - George Sucks. I don't see how everyone thinks he is so great. He cheated on his wife. He tried to out Burke when his hand was messed up on the camping trip. He had sex with Mer when he knew she was vulnerable then acted all high and mighty because she cried becuase she was vulnerable! He dissed Izzie when he couldn't pass his exam. Then did the same thing to Lexie when he did. He sucks. Stop declaring him a saint.
No. 2 - Alex is there when you need him. He may be an ass, but check his record he is there when you need him.
No. 3- I hope they didn't get rid of Hahn because of the gay story arc, because that would make them guilty of the same crime they convicted Isiah washington of.
No. 4-If they are going to replace Sadie with Hahn in the Callica affair. That means they got rid of Hahn for a younger more "Hotter" version. They want hot lesbian sex. Which is demeaning and disgusting.
No. 5-Gizzie was crap. They had a beautiful friendship, but Gizzie was crap. Bec

Really? I remember other characters being backburner but I don't remember any of them having 10 seconds of airtime in an episode and saying about 5 lines total in the last three episodes.
So we have the right to whine about that.
We also have the right to complain about the fact not only did they cut our couple to bring up the ratings, and it just made them drop instead, but they also killed a friendship everyone loves.

Oh please. Shonda said she had been rooting for Gizzie since day 1 when they started and that she wrote their scenes and kept thinking they could tear each other's clothes out and make love right then and there.
She also said last season that Izzie was so so so over Alex and considered him a chick and that Izzie had never been in love with Alex and it was always more one-sided on his part.
She gave them a terrible breakup. Gizzie had at least someday, a sweet dance and exchanged I love yous while Izzie and Alex had even a dead guy is better than you, you deserve noone.
Izzie didn't think of Denny while with George but is now thinking of him all the time.
I don't see her liking AI. She is just scared of their fanatic fans.
George and Izzie in the time they lasted had some very beautiful loving scenes and both Kristen and Ass said Shonda wanted Gizzie to last but had been pressured to drop them, which is too bad as the ratings were a hell better when Gizzie were together.

It appears to me that the Chief is out of control.
SGH is # 12. Now all he cares about is getting to #1. He is allowing his residents to fight all the time and the interns are now on the same level that the doc's all treat the nurses. He is setting up risky surgeries all to get glory for his docs and through that himself. He blew up at Hahn (which I am actually glad he did, she needed a good chewing out), he blows up on the attendees and residents at random, and he is just losing control.
What if he fired Hahn cause he was afraid of all the mess? Hahn reports him and they investigate. They find he is not competent to lead and they can him?
hmm.... sorry my mind was wondering...
having said all that I love the characters of this show. I wouldn't replace any of them. I hope they don't cut any more.
I don't like the Denny thing and if GA goes in the direction of sleeping with imaginary dead people with no valid reason I dunno if I can keep watching.

Mark looks like Lexie's dad, and they have like dad and daughter chemistry so it is ewww.
And really the writters are crapping on Alex? Because he seems to be on all the time, and never pay for his abusive jerk behavior at all.
If the show craps on anyone, it is George. He is the one that failed, that had tragic sex twice, that can't find love, that gets humiliated by losers like Mark and Alex and lose his girls to them and has no screentime at all, and George is a million times the guy Alexis.
TR is not sick either, because I just saw him with Katie looking mighty fine with shades.

As far as Izzie goes; I definitely think this will be one of the most interesting storylines in the history of Grey's specifically because it could either turn into one of the most amazing stories or just flop like a dud. So the writers and Shondra better be careful of the end result.
I also don't believe Brooke was fired because of the gay story arc. They fired Isiah Washington for gay slurs towards T.R. Knight, or at least thats whats assumed he was let go for, so it wouldn't make sense for them to suddenly not support a gay character on the show. I definitely think they've planned out her exit, but I think it had more to do with the fact that her character was never the most likable thing in the world. And not in a good way, Mark is kinda taking over as the character we love to hate, Brooke was kind of just there.

I'll be semi upset if Callie suddenly ends up with Sadie. Callie's 'grieving' process was mighty fast if she does end up with Sadie, especially after her 'mini' breakdown last week :-( Poor Callie...if Sara really does end up leaving I'd love for her story to somehow include the fact that she misses Erica too much and has finally seen leaves and wants to be here.
I guess I can always wish!!! Looking forward to reading this sight after the show on Thursday, I always have to wait until Friday.

Imagine, for any reason, he was not dead... I know this is crazy but... What if after he was dead, in fact he wasn't but prefered to disappear to let Izzie breath or whatever reason... But in fact he is ALIVE.
That is too crazy even for Grey's anatomy, tell me it is, please... ;-) It is more for the Bold and the Beautiful LOL

There's no way in heaven that Brooke Smith was fired for portraying a gay character. Lesbians and gays are a hot commodity on prime time TV. I think the Hahn character just stood out like a sore thumb - couldn't connect to anyone but Callie - too beeyotchy to everyone else, and she didn't really contribute anything to the storyline other than 1) to mirror Callie to herself (show Callie she might be gay/bi) and 2) a mirror of Cristina - she doesn't teach what Cristina desperately wants to know, just as Cristina doesn't teach her interns what they desperately need to know.
Actually what I think could be a likely storyline for later this season is that Hahn DOES report SGH to the authorities over the LVAD incident and Izzie becomes the sacrificial lamb to save SGH's collective arses. Easy out for both actresses.
I totally don't get dead Denny either. I loved him, but he's gone now, and should STAY THAT WAY. Dead is dead. I agree with a poster above......why do they keep crappin

The Callica story has such beautiful content to share.
Sadie is so random though i mean she's like either there to be a more younger and more "pretty" version of Erica or she's there to come between Mereditch and Christina!
And this Dennie, Izzie thing is just awkward, I mean he passed on. She should be moving forward with her life and of course she still thinks of him, but actually doing it with his ghost, thats just bizarre.

Izzie... I don't even know where to begin? She and Alex had finally developed a functional relationship; then, dead Denny? Seriously? I can see where this would be going if she had a brain tumor, but if she's just plain crazy.. then, what? This relationship began with Izzie reassuring Alex she wouldn't go crazy; well, she has gone a bit crazy. I really had hope for these two. This is just too much. What happens if Alex walks in on Izzie having sex with fake Denny? Very confusing.. and awkward.
As for Callie, her role is becoming a joke. She and Mark are finally gettting somewhere on a more emotional level, and the writers decide to replace Hahn with Sadie? Didn't Shonda say it would be pretty much pointless to replace Hahn with another lesbian character? Enough with Callie's "experiments." Shonda wants "to play up [Sara's] magic?" Well, this is certainly not the way to do it. MARK + CALLIE = MAJOR CHEMISTRY.

Callie and Mark are much better as friends. I think a romantic storyline between them would ruin their dynamic. Come on, as friends they are hilarious, as boyfriend and girlfriend they'd get all angsty like everyone else. I don't know if i like Sadie or not, but continuing with Callie's 'sexuality storyline' is an important step forward for primetime tv, Sadie or no Sadie.

this doesnt make sense.. although i've never gone through death of someone close to me (fortunately), i dont understand how 'seeing' the dead is in anyways realistic.. i thought izzie has moved on ever since she and george were together, and now alex with her... it just seems inconsistent on her personality. even though last ep was her and the heart patient, but to me, that was the final attachment of what has happened 3 years ago..
then all these characters shifts...i thought greys was built upon open casting not based on whether if 'he' or 'she' has the standard tv star looks. hahn might not fit in with the rest of the crew but she stands on her own and her characters does speak to those out there who might be just as socially awkward as she is.. she's someone who lives a very real life, closer to the rest of us.. and for ABC to cut her is irrational reasoning. no need for sadie, callie is a fine character which we dont really know either.. so i dont understand why the storylines
