Isis King Featured, Surprised on Tyra Banks Show

Isis King was eliminated early on cycle 11 of America's Next Top Model.

But this former contestant is still in the news due to her unusual status as a transgender individual; and, most recently, her appearance on The Tyra Banks show.

"I look at it like, 'Yes, I'm the first transgender contestant, but OK, lets move past it now," King says to Banks on an episode of of the show, which will air today. "I try not to think about [being transgendered] because ... I feel like I really was born in the wrong body, and it's just the one thing that makes me feel uncomfortable."

Banks proceeds to offer King a solution to that situation: Dr. Marci Bowers surprises the aspiring model, as the gender reassignment surgeon says she will operate on Isis, footing the bill of $20,000 to $35,000 herself.

It's actually a very nice gesture, arranged by Banks, a woman typically known for only serving her own interests.

I’m writing in the paper that Kingfisher is on the verge of bankruptcy … which it is. The next morning, I get slapped with two lawsuits from Natey Flint. He takes out a liable suit against the Sunrise Herald and a one-million-dollar liable suit against me.

Stacey: Do you know of any fires in this area?
Frank Kovick: There was one in ’41.
Stacey: There was one in ’41? Where?
Frank Kovick: In Sunrise.
Stacey: Sunrise…
Frank Kovick: It was huge, it destroyed most of the town.
Stacey: Really?!
Frank Kovick: Founders Day fire. They called it the “Miracle Fire” because nobody died.
