Grey's Anatomy Episode Press Releases: "Wish You Were Here," "Sympathy For the Devil," "Stairway to Heaven"
Nothing particularly new or groundbreaking here, but in case you haven't seen or heard, and want a general idea of what we can expect in the first three episodes of the new year, we've posted ABC's official press releases about them for you below.
With titles like "Wish You Were Here," "Sympathy For the Devil," and "Stairway to Heaven," it looks like the writers are planning something big. Or listening to a lot of classic rock.
We're also compiling promotional photos for "Sympathy for the Devil" and "Stairway to Heaven," which we will be posting soon. Follow the jump for the episode synopses ...
"Wish You Were Here," January 8 (5.11)
Bailey teams with Seattle Grace's new pediatric surgeon, Dr. Arizona Robbins, to save the life of a young patient near and dear to her heart, as the admittance of a death row inmate at the hospital stirs anger in Derek and further erodes Meredith and Cristina's friendship; meanwhile, Callie and Sloan work as a team to fight their respective attractions to Sadie and Lexie, and Izzie tells Alex that she's seeing Denny.
"Sympathy for the Devil," January 15 (5.12)
Derek's mother, Carolyn, makes a surprise visit to Seattle and meets Meredith for the first time, as Mark tries to conceal his relationship with Lexie from her as well; meanwhile, death row inmate William wishes to donate his organs to Bailey and Arizona's patient, as Owen and Cristina try to go on their first date.
"Stairway to Heaven," January 22 (5.13)
Bailey grows desperate as a patient's condition becomes more and more dire. Everyone in the hospital is stepping up to try to find the boy a new organ donor, including Meredith, who considers a death row patient's wish to die before execution. Meanwhile, an injury leaves Mark in a compromising position in the OR and Cristina awkwardly avoids Owen.

I was kinda mad that it was so close to Jodi Picoult's book. Its like, I just got done reading it and finally a new Grey's comes on and it's the same exact thing!! Frustratinggg.

I saw a promo where Owen was showering fully clothed in Christina's bathroom. He probably was going through PTSD. This may be the reason Christina will be avoiding him.

Grey’s Anatomy was hot in season 1, hotter in season 2, sucked in season 3, got worse in season 4, and finally seems to be rekindling its fire in season 5. This show still has the potential to go out with a bang!
George was ‘Burke’s guy’ – Burke was talented enough to spot talent in George before anyone else *including George – could recognize it. Now that George has repeated his internship he is doubly skilled in the basics and he is finally in a position where his talents can begin to really shine. (*Don’t forget the episode where the Chief reminds Christina that it is all about the basics.) (More recently Lexie further set the stage by revealing George's amazing letters of recommendation.) Wouldn’t it be interesting if George became Christina’s biggest rival to beat? (*Remember Christina's talk with George’s dad?) We saw a glimmer of that O’Malley magic in the episode where George helped ease the little boy’s fear of medical procedures. (*Don’t forget th

OMG What is up with Mc Steamy? I hope he isn't going die and leave Callie. She has had to much lose lately. As for Izzy, let her go to the light. PLEASE!!!!

I'm going to miss George. But if he must go. I hope he takes Mc Army and Izzy with him. They are on my last nerve.

I want George and Gizzie and Mallie, and down with Lexie. She is monopolizing the show even though almost everyone hates Mexie and nobody cares about her, and George gets nothing!
