ya know...this has nothing to do with this article...but i'm about tired of seeing Izzie having sex with a dead guy...i mean i love grey's alot but that's some weird shit!!! why cant she just be happy for once with Alex...i'm just tired of it. he died like 3 seasons ago...leave him that way

I'm not exactly fond of the Lexie/Mark thing but the courtship (at least Mark's side of planting the seed) is actually fun. He brings the best one liners (and conversations) with Derek that makes this entire thing tolerable.
I do think Callie is a better woman for Mark but am kinda curious to see how this plays out.
Sadie should've died in the surgery. Can't stand her.

Regarding why they dropped Hahn's character:
Everybody seems to think it either has to be she was dropped for being a lesbian. Or she wasn't. Like it’s that simple.
In my mind it's very clear that she wasn't dropped for being a lesbian character, it was for being a lesbian character in the manner that she was.
Hahn was a mature, strong, self-motivated woman. They don't make good lesbians. It's a well-known fact in TV.
Lesbian action must be undertaken by young, immature, frivolous, super-sexy, girly women. Why? To portray lesbianism as sexual experimentation rather than same-sex love.
In my mind, this matter with Sadie confirms it. Hahn was a lesbian. Callie and Sadie are both bisexual. Their lesbian interaction will be restricted to flirting, while Callica was a serious relationship.
I think someone from ABC said to the GA writers, "you're not going to have lesbians like that anymore... this is how it's going to be done."

I'm neutral on Lexie. I used to detest her but I guess she's growing on me. Callie needs to catch a break. Give her some great McDreamy love. Or McHottie. She so deserves it. I like Mark for Callie but can he be great for her?
I'm shifting when it comes to Sadie. Her character was introduced so awkardly. She just appeared out of no where. But I think she's going to shake things up and that could be a good thing. I don't want no flirting, I want Callie to be in love. But a couple of you all are right. Shonda gave us Burke and Yang, Gizzie, and of course Merder. Let's trust her to give us something else to whine and swoon over.

I dont like Sadie, personally. But its still interesting to see where they take her crazy story line. I am also upset that this week is the last ep. til January.
HOW can we go through the holidays without any new GA?

I think there's a little too much lexie bashing in this thread for my taste. Look, I hated lexie when she joined the show JUST as much as the next person, but her antics have begun to grow on me, especially since she stopped showing off for meredith and fawning all over george. I enjoy the little banter between the two half-sisters in the past few episodes and am thanking god that they dropped that george and lexie thing, since it's obvious that story line was going no where but the cutting room floor in the end.
Yes, I love Mark and Callie...but don't you think that what they have going on now is great? I'm a huge believer in guy friendships and to be honest, all the girls on this show seem to do is hook up with the guys that show up...which is what actually happens about 80% of the time, yes, but I think sometimes it's perfectly acceptable and CUTE for two people (be it ATTRACTIVE people, but whatever) just get along as friends. Lexie looks like she could be Mark´s dauther, I don´t think they together is a good idea. It could destroy friendship between Mark and Derek because Meredith doesn´t wish this relationship.
But I understand Lexie wants to be like Merediht, I have an older sister, too, and when I was younger I was doing everything like her... I understand but I also agree it´s very annoying...

Sadie is annoying and disgusting. Grey's has WAY too many docs these days, and Sadie should be the first to go (and take Dr. Dixon, all the new interns, Lexie, and that annoying mess Izzie with you!)
I only started watching Grey's because of the Callica relationship, and have lost a lot of faith in the show since they got rid of Brooke Smith. All emotional reasons aside, the writing itself this season both regarding their relationship and Erica's departure was simply awful (except the "You are glasses" speech, which was lovely). Season 4 allowed the natural chemistry between the actresses to shine through and it was totally wonderful and honest and pure how they depicted their transition from friends into lovers. Had the writers not been trying so hard this season to be "edgy" and just let that same natural chemistry guide the storyline, I'm sure public opinion of the couple would have been a lot different this season and we might still have Callica.

sure the show doesn't always go how i want it, but i like this season and i think shonda is on the right track.
i can totally see that sloan will be distracted by lexie until he wises up about callie... duh!!

I am really enjoying Callie and Mark together lately. And I never did before. This is new (for me).
As for flirtations w/ Sadie? Sounds like it's Callie trying to figure some things out about herself. Glad to hear it doesn't go farther than just some initial flirting. So far I've found Sadie to be nothing special, although, as always, I'm still open to seeing where they might take her character. I definitely would not be a fan of Callie and Sadie as a couple. Although Callie had an emotional relationship with Hahn and is a bit confused, I think she will ultimately decide that she likes men most ;)
As for Mark and Lexie? hmmmm.... maybe. I dunno. Mostly because I'm really enjoying Mark and Callie's relationship righ now!

I agree with you GAWJA GIRL, I try to "go with the flow" but having said that, I would love to see Lexie and McSteamy together. I am crazy about McSteamy, and I like the friendship he has with Callie, which I think was given short shrift when they experimented "between the sheets." He would be a wonderful gift to Lexie, a first real man (besides that pathetic father of hers)who could teach her a thing or two (forget the medicine!!) I also think it would lead to a little sisterly love and Derek and McSteamy could rekindle their manlove. Also McSteamy has been wasting away --he needs a woman and a storyline---
I don't care too much for Sadie--she is a very annoying character, know-it-all, not likable at all. Callie can do much better. Callie is really strong, maybe she needs a nice strong fireman or policeman to sweep her off her feet and out of those damn hospital scrubs. How about some interaction with the outside world people???????

Apparently most people on this site want Mark and Callie to be together despite that she is attracted to women, Merideth and Derick to stay in their room and have sex all the time instead of leading a normal type realationship, George and Izzie to be together even though there romantic chemistry sucked ass , and Alex to just vanish along with Sadie and Lexie and every other person on the show that takes away from the above mentioned people.....You know what... THANK GOD none of you guys write for this show because GA would truly suck if that happened...I LOVE GA JUST THE WAY IT IS...and yes I have opinions on who I would like for this and that to happen too...but I go with the flow and enjoy what Shonda has to offer... :)

I don't like Sadie at all. Why pairing Callie with another woman if they fired Hahn suposedly because of her sexuality? I thought GA wasnt going through that water anymore. Don't get me wrong... not that i dont want they to do a lesbian story line. Actually, I just dont get why they fired Brooke in the first place. And I definetly dont agree with megan. (so waht if sadie is cuter? she is a pain in the ass!)
As for Mark and Lexie... we can give it a try. But deeply i want her with george... he really needs a story line, although if that depends on lexie

i'm gonna disagree with everybody...i like Lexie and Mark. Mark is trying to change...i think we've seen a different side of him...plus Lexie kicks ass in my opinion. and i feel bad for Callie since Hahn left...she needs some lovin' in her life...even if it is from Sadie...and on a positive note...Sadie is ALOT cuter than Hahn... =)

I totally agree with all of the above comments. Lexie is too immature and unstable for Mark. She's not even his type! Anyway, Lexie is suppose to be in love with George and I think they would make a good couple. I like Mark with Callie too. He's the only one who really knows her and knows what she's been through lately. And they have GREAT chemistry!
I didn't know that this Thursday is our last episode until January. Oh crap! Well, I guess I'll just have to continue to watch all of the past episodes from Season 5. OH HOW I LOVE MY GREY'S ANATOMY!! :)
