I think I figured it out. It's not schizophrenia or an aneurysm. I was thinking about it after having caught the episode online (life of a teacher) and thought about how Izzie thought that the guy with visions from season 1 was just getting them because of his epilepsy. So I googled epilepsy and hallucinations and found out that temporal lobe epilepsy can cause sufferers to hallucinate and that the symptoms are commonly confused with schizophrenia. It makes perfect sense. The article said that she only sees Denny during flare ups so that could totally be it. And also, it's surgical.

want to see where this izzie/denny story leads to?...Rhonda wants you to keep watching the show, guys! it is really interesting if you're into it;medically...an intersting medical case. whatever it is..katherine delivers without doubt..so keep Dr. Stevens. i want to see more of MERDER though.. it's the reason i keep watching this show!

I love any story line that involves Izzie and Denny...they have great chemisty and I miss Denny. I don't care how far a stretch the story is (that is what tv is about), I love it and wish there was a way for Denny to come back forever!

Cristina's new dude freaking sucks. Sloan and Lexi would never work as a couple at least I wouldn't buy it. They can be sex buddies I'll buy that but as far as a couple goes, George and Lexi. Enough with this bullshit! At least put that Aussie chick with George, that would be kind of interesting.

What the F*%K is going on with this show? They used to be sooo good! Now it's just like I'm reading a stupid cheap romance novel of no substance. I mean this show used to be really good, had the perfect amount of drama without going over the top. But I swear, like the writing is becoming boring, the lines are the same, the way people get together is exactly the same but with just different characters that swap partners each month and any emotional scene is performed with this same lines. Have you noticed the good ol repitition of "I care about you, i care about you, i care about you, etc." (izzy to Karev) and last nights episode when meredith was consoling the little girl she used the same repition. Sigh, and every scene where someone starts making out is the same, the same intense staring and then someone swoops in an grab someones head and starts madly making out. It's like a Soap opera, but with more action.

I am obviously in the minority here, but I absolutely love having Denny back! I realized it is unrealistic . .but it's an entertainment show! I think it will work out in the end. I liked the idea of her having to have surgery and making the decision between getting better or not and keep "seeing" Denny. I do eventualy want her and Alex together though. Again . .I'm in the minority, but i am very happy about the less mer/der stories. I was starting to completely despise the mer character all together. This is a nice break. I'm also glad Hahn is gone - didn't like her character at all. All I could ever think of was "put the lotion in the basket". Too bad no puns were made . .would have been funny. All this season needs now is . . more george!!!!

I knew the moment Izzie saw Denny what was happening! I love the soap General Hospital, and this is such a storyline RIP! On that show there is a charactor called Nicholas and he had the same thing as Izzie does, seeing, feeling, touching, etc etc his dead wife. The only thing different with his brain tumor was that he had fits of rage. He had surgery and goodbye dead wife. Now, I dont know if Grey's will follow that particular path but as of right now they are. As for Izzie being killed off, SEE YA!! Anyone that can be so UNGREATFULL to be part of such a great show and great cast to boot, DOESN'T DESERVE TO BE ON IT ANY LONGER!! Apparently she has never heard of the saying's "be thankful for what you have", "count your blessing's" and "the grass isn't always greener on the other side"!

They do need to move on an revile what ever the hell is wrong with her because it is too much! I want her and Alex to have a chance as well. But this is messing that up for sure my man and I are just sitting there watching it and looking at eachother like what the f*ck?? let's go forward please?!

Ohh!! C'mon! What do you mean with a brain aneurysm? She is an important piece of the story. Everyone have something that make the story more interesting. If Izzie dies..nobody will be able to replace her..she was kind of the one that always believed..and the story will turn into a dramatic situation where the actors won't shine as they do now. Beisdes I hate the fact that now Meredith and Cristina are having diferences...So I hope the resolution comes out fast and it shoudn't end with the death of Izzie...

I agree with the previous comment to some extent. George and Sadie might actually work. I mean it would take some time but I can see that, although I would prefer for him to be with Lexie. As for Mark, I want him to either be with Callie or Sadie. The one thing I don't want to see is Mark and Lexie...now that's just wrong.

OK enough with the bullshit. Put Lexie and George together and call it a day. Mark is better off solo, being the player we've grown accustomed to. Mark and Callie really dig each other, so it should be only a matter of time. People might try to clown me when I say this seeing as how I'm going to be in the minority. I usually can foreshadow pretty well and I think George and Sadie are gonna hook-up. I know it's a little far fetched but still in the realm of possibility. I see a potential triangle between Lexie, George, and Sadie. I think George and Sadie would compliment each other well. This whole Mark and Lexie thing is stupid! How do u go from loving George to sleeping with Mark in one episode and fawning over him. PLEASE!!! Only if girls were really like that. Finally this whole Denny thing is trash and boring to watch. You know, I like Grey's, I have from the very beginning. I cried my eyes out when Jeffery Dean Morgan left the show. COME ON IT'S DENNY!! You all cried too, admit it. Yeah it's a stretch, but if we are wanting something completely factual, the show would have no audience. Meredith drowning herself, surviving, and back to work in a couple of days.....seriously. Callie going from quick Vegas wedding, to cheated on wife, to divorcee, to lesbian? It's televison people. If Shonda wants to bring Denny back from the dead, fine by me. Maybe I just that superficial, but I don't care. I'm being entertained and that is the point.

How come everytime Izzie and Alex are together, here comes the dead guy. He messed up their relationship before and now he is back doing it again. I'm so mad, I'm typing faster than ever! I feel this story line SUCKS!!!! either give us Izzie and Alex or put it to rest. Maybe he should be with a girl who appreciates him or something. And why, why does he always get the crazy chicks? wasn't his mom a crazy chick or bad drunk or something like that? He is the reason I watch this show, this love story was what got me into this show, (it hot and steamy and love Alex's ways) and here comes the writers as always messing things up. Every show I watch the 2 characters I want to get together always end up together but DUMB Katherine Heigl who is a greedy SOB for screen time is messing everything up. Does she know she has like 20 other castmates. What about Mcsteamy the hottest guy on tha show, he gets like 3 mins of airtime. I say KILL her off and put someone better on if she wants to act stank!

Maybe we all should just say that we love with a capital L, LOVE this storyline... maybe then the writers will end it. I just don´t know why it pisses me off, this is just a tv show after all, but come on, this whole Denny thing is absurd! This aneurysm business is laughable and so unbelievable... she doesn´t have any more symptoms? isn´t she a doctor, can´t she recognize in herself the symptoms of a brain defect? Isn´t Izzie being negligent by keeping this to herself? She is a doctor, a surgeon, who treats people, whose lives depend on her, who has "hallucinations"... this is as bad ethically as Burke with his damaged hand, maybe worse, since Burke had Cristina actually doing his job... and on the personal front, she is cheating on alex with a dead man... poor guy... would you think it is fine that your boyfriend or girlfriend has sex alone thinking, actually believing she is having sex with his/her dead fiancé? wouldn´t you feel betrayed? NOTE TO SHONDA: PLEASE READ THE ONLINE FORUMS AND COMMENTS ON YOUR SHOW BECAUSE CLEARLY YOU ARE DOING EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT THE FANS WANT TO SEE. This whole story line is a fu*king joke. You have a great cast and you're not using them efficiently. Making people see dead loved ones, having the two most prominent characters Mer and Der out of screen time. Seriously, I thought after the end of season 4 that something spectacular was going to happen between these two. So far...yeah, nothing. You let your show go to shit. Congrats

Bringing Denny back so Izzie can see him is one thing, and we can accept that, but them having a physical relationship is taking this story too far IMHO.
Finish it before it takes the show down the pan so to speak, and give Izzie a proper story. If this is only being done to hopefully give Katherine an Emmy nod it sucks!!!!
