Lexie isn't smart. She has a photographic memory. That is all. If she was smart, she wouldn't cut herself or go have sex with her boss because Sadie tells her to. Yes she is earnest like a little puppy. It is kind of sickening, and ED looks creeped out everytime he has to pretend to be attracted to her.
How the heck do they bring out the best in each other? shond basically described Slexiepuke, their nickname, and Mark sleeping with her as a fall off the wagon into manwhoreness.
It makes him look sleazy and disgusting and ruins all the progress he made the last few episodes, and Lexie? It makes her look very fickle and sl*tty for a little girl, because she went from Alex to being so in love with George the week before to now sleeping with a guy she barely knows and begging him to teach her how to have sex.
It shows just how desperate for attention she is and how she will use anything, even sex, to get it and advance in her career.

I like your idea about eric stolz being alex's father.....that would be huge! Very sad about George leaving, I thought he had a lot of humanity and his character was one of the truly nicest men on the show. However, must say I am thrilled about McSteamy and Lexie--they are so cute together. She is so earnest (and smart!) and those qualities make McSteamy a better man than he has been in the past. They are good for each other!! Plus, how could she resist that hottie! She is truly "old enough to know better but too young to resist!"

I'm thinking that Eric Stoltz is Alex's dad. He used to beat the poor guy and he wasn't a great father, maybe he was sent to prison and when he gets there he is surprised a his son is a doctor at seattle grace that has to operate on him. what do you guys think?? This could do some twists and turns with the izzie storyline.

No offense anyone, but I really hate that people bring homophobia into the matter. There's a 99% chance that his sexual orientation has nothing whatsoever to do with this.
As T.R. had once said, "I hope the fact that I'm gay isn't the most interesting part of me."
It seems to me that people find it is. Think about, before him saying that he wanted to leave the show, all they talked about was him with his chihuahua of a boyfriend and him at gay rights rallies and stuff. I hate that. I want to know more about him, not his sexuality.

No you are not the only one. In fact majority of people seem totally disgusted about the Mark and Lexie thing. They do have a very few but extremely vocal fans who like to spam boards, but most people hate them.
They should have gone for Gexie, way better.
George is my favorite character, I always thought he was the most lovable and interesting of the gang.
And how does Izzie go on without her person?
Yeah I find it weird the one gay actor didn't get stories at all, and it made him leave. My guess is they wanted him to leave since he came out as gay buut they couldn't right away so they planned this in advance.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who really dislikes the Mark-Lexie thing. And it's a shame about George - he was the best character.

I don't mind him leaving the show. His character was never really that interesting - although he is a good actor. It's a free world and if he wants to leave - no matter the reasons - they should let him go.
As for the Mark/Lexie twist - I just love it. I think they are great for each other and hope that the writers will do them justice with a good storyline.

Hey, ahh, long time reader, first time poster:
Geroge is one of my favorite characters (if not THE favorite in my books)
and i think that T.R is a remarkable actor . . . .
I cant help but feel bummed out by this a bit . . . . Howver . . . . I thought . . am i the only one who could possibly see a connection between the ABC turfing out the Callica lesbian story line, in an attempt to 'de-gay' the show, And then a few weeks later having an original, and openly gay cast member asking for a release from the show?
It hit me . . . . and lets face it, T.R i dont think would leave because the show is focusing on other characters, he has gone through alot, and if i was in his position, i would have been mad too . . . . But not to the point of leaving the show. :(
You will be missed sorely George, Aussies love you :(

I read on another site that George has been sick over the firing of Brooke Smith. I mean really sick, that is why he hasn't been on the show much. And Callie isn't going to be around much longer. She is leaving LA and going back to NY. She was seen looking at apartments in NY. She visits Brooke, I"m so glad they are still friends:) I just hope that they can hook up on another program, so we can see them again. If they go back to broadway. I won't get to see them anymore:( That will totally suck. Cause I still love Callica!!!!

I feel so sad about TR leaving, George just fit so well in the show and its so wird because George just took his resident test and is no longer an intern and then he quit?????!! Abc should not have let him go.
But on the other hand why stay in a show you are not happy with? I can only say good luck TR and I hope you will find happiness somewhere else. But I will miss you.
I have been thinking it might be the Chief as well who got fired....he might be so angry about the whole situation in Seattle Grace and he cant stare at Mer Grey any longer because it reminds him too much of his own mistakes....It could be him...
MAYBE Derek will become the chief instead????

I love Grey's, it's my thing that everyone knows I love to watch. I have to admit that they aren't doing so hot. I hate to admit this, but since mid-season 4, the show has been going straight down. I think the greatest part was season 3.
Come on Grey's, Lets pull it together, we are losing actors left and right here.

I recall something being said that Shonda was getting rid of cast members such as Kate Walsh so that she could develop the original cast more. However, is it me or has she added twice as many new characters, with the exception of Christina's love interest (I forgot his name), the rest (including Lexie, especially Sadie and the other trivial interns) are just taking up space!!!!!! Can we get back to the first two seasons,which are the reason that we all tuned to this show in the first place? With each season, the show becomes more disappointing. Private Practice and even the last season of ER are currently way ahead!!!

They are not getting rid of him, he is asking for them to let him go. There is a big difference. It is his choice, not ours. And if they really wanted us to stop complaining, maybe they should have actually given this character that is so loved an actual storyline? Gasp the concept, writing for one of your original castmember.

Mark and Lexie make me seriously puke, disgusting. Thank goodness I am leaving this show with TR because I couldn't stand them rolling around doing ti all the time. The first time already had me vomiting in my mouth.
As for TR, he is a wonderfully amazingly talented actor. PD and KH might be famous but the critics hate their movie. Come on Maid of homor was trashed by the critic and it was the vilest movie ever and KH has been doing dumb-dumb comedies. Theater might not get as much money but it is much better.
Look how much trash is watched by millions. TR might want to do something more respectful and good for him.
He made 125,000 per episode. I am sure he saved up some money. He is not an idiot.
I applaud him for having the courage to say enough, enough treating me and my character like dirt, enough with this trashy show.
He is way too good for Grey anyway and I won't watch one episode without him.
So bye-bye Grey, you just let the best thing on the show slip away.

First I don't think TR is selfish. He has been there 5 years with the show and simply wants to do something else. A lot of people do quit their job after 5 years especially when they are given nothing to do, and who says he wants to do TV and movies? Maybe he wants to do theater. It was his first love anyway. Not all actors want to be famous, especially when it is on a crappy show who is popular for God knows what reason.
Some people do it for the joy of acting and don't cvare if not a lot of people see them and they don't make a lot of money. He is an actor and he wants to act and those idiots are not letting him act.
I am completely and utterly devastated. I love George. I will stop watching when he leaves but do I blame TR? Absolutely not, I love him and want him to be happy.
The show is obviously not valuing him as they don't even seem to be fighting to be keeping him, why would he stay with a show that is too idiotic to show him and his talent the respect they deserve?
