Oh let me guess, Eric Stoltz will end up being the father of Izzie's daughter that she gave up for adoption before going to medical school. I know it's a stab in the dark but just seems possible.

the show will never be the same without George or Izzie or Callie or Alex or McDreamy or Mer or Cristina or The Nazi, even Mc Steamy!! They`re the show! All of them.
But show must go one.. it`s sad. I hope T.R. change his mind but.. maybe if Shonda writes something good for him..
please!! don`t let him go!

Aww... i love George! I have to agree he isn't getting any screen time so I would be upset too. But he shouldn't leave he was supposed to get into the Izzie/Denny/Alex storyline, which he probally will then leave, unless Shonda gives him a good storyline. Not everyone can have story line's at once though it gets too confusing I wish he would wait a little bit for a storyline but if he wants to leave he can.
I'm SOOO GLAD it's not PATRICK DEMPSEY in the blind item! I was worried about that b/c people were talking about how he isn't getting much screen time. I would have been soo mad, it took him forever for Meredith and Derek to get in a good relationship and if he would have been fired I would have been soo mad.
I wish that TR would stay and the original 5 interns stay to the end, after all they have overcome, but I guess thats not going to happen. I just hope that no one else gets fired or wants to leave, that was in the original main cast.

My bet then is on the Chief. He is no longer mentioned by Shonda and Betsy in their podcasts, he's been getting less and less screentime and he seems like the kind of actor who'd want to make demands so that's my natural conclusion.
Be a shame though, although in a way the show has been needing a shorter cast. Maybe the Chief will move over to Private Practice and take over from Charlotte King as the Chief of St Ambrose??
It's a long shot lol.

I am so upset by the news of T.R. Night leaving. George is by far my favorite character and it will not be the same without him. I hope GA won't end up like ER where all the original main characters leave . . it ruins the show. I really hope that he changes his mind and stays or at least comes back after some time off. PLEASE STAY GEORGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you read the actual item, my guess is it's Izzie. Bye-bye Katherine Heigl. You don't have to kill her off to get her off the show.

OMG I'm glad it wasn't PD that was the blind Item. Come on It's not EP, didn't they say that this person was cut out of the show alot...It's not her because she has appeared on the show alot.

Smart guy. The show is "circling the drain". It's on a fast downward spiral. This season is a joke and nothing can salvage it. I'd leave too and find something better. I used to care if i missed an episode, now...I care not. Oh well. By the end of the series, no one recognizable will be left probably. Good job on really, really screwing up a great show SHONDA.

About Matt LeBlanc... he had a short-lived sitcom after Friends ended called Joey. So he has done something, if not much.
Ellen Pompeo won't be leaving because the show centers around her and Patrick Dempsey's characters.
As for T.R., his storyline has sucked. They turned him from the good guy friend who has a shoulder to cry on to a crybaby doormat that doesn't get any screen time. Nobody would want that role. Good for him, moving on to bigger and better things. George's character doesn't have much to do with the show since he moved out.
I am liking the new direction the show has taken this year. I think they are getting back to the dramatic core that made it so good in the first place. Way to go Shonda!

I am going to pretend that TR Knight actually takes the time to read these comments, but COME ON YOU SELFISH PRICK!
Every character has its down time. Everyone can't be the center of the show and we all know that George has been the center plenty of times. AND, does TR think he is actually going to get another job? Um, lets look at Matt LeBlanc from Friends. What has he done since Friends. Exactly. TR...stay where you are successful. BIG, BIG mistake. Make your six-figure salary and shut it. Wait a couple of months when they decide to make it about you again. I mean, really. Selfish, selfish. Obviously, the economic pinch must not be affecting you. Otherwise, you would stay put!

Good grief - not everyone who wants to act needs to do it for 10 million people plus. Lots of actors are happy doing stage, etc...plus he's surely secured himself financially to have flexibility. Wish him well and get over it.
I do wonder though if his departure will be related to a failed brain transplant to save Izzie - which would tie in nicely with the "someone is getting fired" storyline.
Everyone is happy it's not McDreamy, but what if it's Meredith? Now that Lexie is around, Meredith could leave without requiring a title change for the show...

My sister just said something that I had to agree on. TR is not gonna find job easily. He's not like PD or KH who do movies and are very famous w/out grey's. Or EP or SO who won some awards thanks to Grey's. If you ask someone who is not a grey's who he is I'm sure they will not know. And who has heard about IW after he left?! so TR if you want to end your career as an actor now. GOOD LUCK with that.

It is sad that T.R is leaving the show but i guess i got used to not seeing him so frequently. anyway i so pleased it is not patrick dempsey who is leaving as grey`s would`nt be the same without him, although i wish we could see a bit more of him and his love story.
