One Tree Hill is halfway through its sixth season, and has been pretty much guaranteed a seventh by the CW, an impressive feat for any show these days.

But are the cast members already looking toward an eighth season, which would air in 2010-2011? The network hasn't announced anything, but if it were to, at least one major star would be in, according to EW's spoiler Q&A ...

Q: Any One Tree Hill scoop? You haven't had much recently.

A: You can pretty much count Chad Michael Murray in for a season 8 - assuming The CW wants a season 8. The newbie writer says he's already pitched a story for next season. "I want to do a Scrooge episode," he says. "[James Lafferty] can be Tiny Tim, and the girls would be the ghosts of rock and roll past, present, and future."
