Gen,
TV is a business and what Shonda is producing is a product and if we, the consumers of this product, think it's substandard then we will not watch the show or buy the dvds and the show will not make enough money to keep paying Shonda for her alleged "creativity." (I put that word in quotes because I see nothing creative in recycling storylines from daytime soaps.)
I have watched the show since day one and own all 4 seasons but find myself cringing thru most of this one and have to agree with the posters who are saying that PP has become the more interesting show. It's still not where Greys was those first 2 seasons, but at least they raise some interesting issues and develop the back stories of their characters rather than bringing people back from the dead again and again. (I really HATE the Denny/Izzie mess of a storyline)

All the George fans, ABC is doing a panel right now so please if you do it, tell them you want more George so he stays.

I would add one more - no more new characters - focus on the regulars and close the revolving door of new interns and attendings.

Hmm are you kidding. I adore both George and Denny. They are both my favorite characters but Denny is DEAD and George is alive, so they need to keep George and dish Denny.
Like Eric Dane said in this interview (http://www.accesshollywood.com/eric-dane-and-rebecca-gayheart-temporarily-put-baby-plans-on-hold_article_12613), losing TR would be a huge loss to the show.
George is the humanity and heart of this program and his relationship with Izzie, whether as friends or more, has always been Grey's saving grace for me.

I SO do not agree with you people from insider... George can leave tomorrow for all I care and Denny needs to stay!!! The only thing I want is a little more information on the show. It would be interesting for the others to know what's going on and have her still talking to Denny... "Will you be gone when they fix my aneurysm?" Should be an interesting conflict for her and Alex! And I hated the three episode arc with the ferry, that was just plain ridiculous! I do also think however that we need more friendship scenes in general.

I can get on-board except for the whole axing Private Practice thing. PP is my #1 right now - it is reminding me of the early Grey's Anatomy seasons. And I don't think it's PP's fault for GA's sudden turn to suckiness. I think the writers have written themselves into a corner and now aren't sure what to do. They have too many characters and storylines they are trying to entertain. Has anyone noticed that most patient storylines are nonexistent? That's what made the show good. They need to concentrate on guest stars in the form of patients bringing drama to the show, instead of having those crazy interns cut themselves (I'm sorry, but to me that was the point of no return).
I agree with absolutely everything about the Seven Prescriptions,, Especially number 1,5,& 7
so the show will get the glory back if they took this suggestions for real .

Private Practice is, at this point, better than Grey's. Which is painful to say, because Grey's is the flagship and has a better history. But in terms of writing, acting, storylines, etc, it's not even close right now.

It's not "our" show. It is SHONDA's show.
She does not write for you, she writes to express herself.
All creative people do. Since when do audience members get to tell creative people how to create their work? They don't. People think because they have an opportunity to comment on the show online that gives them the right to tell the creator what to do with their show and the creator is obligated to listen. It does not.
It is also sexist to insist and assume she should listen to millions of people or be fired or demoted from her OWN show or be insulted or suddenly write by audience committee because you do not like her show anymore. Were you giving her advice when she wrote the first two seasons everyone supposedly loved so much? No you were not. These insults and demands and calls for her firing would not be directed at male creators.
And if white male actors WANT off her show, well, they have MANY more opportunities to find work. Which is more than the wome

Look, I'm as big a Grey's Anatomy fan as they come, and so it pains me to say this; however, I've also watched a lot of tv (too much) in my life and I know how this story ends. So we might as well face reality: Grey's will never again be as good as it once was.
The first few seasons of a tv show (in this case, the first two, maybe two and a half) are always the best. Everything is fresh and exciting; a show has tons of possibilities while still establishing itself. After that, it's all downhill. Once a show has been on for so long, story lines get muddled, characters mistreated, plots sensationalized — it's inevitable. The best tv writer in the world doesn't know how to give a show longevity without sacrificing pieces of what it once was.
Setting a due date is probably the best idea on this list. Accept the fact that this show has about two seasons left in it, and make those two GREAT seasons. Let the writers focus on the present rather than asking us to go along with ridiculou

Greysanatomyismylife: Thanks for the tip about changing iTunes store to America but unfortunately, it won't let non-Americans purchase without an American bank account. (I think that's what it came down to. Bit confusing.)
Oh, and, umm... People are saying a Season 7/Season 10 ending... but I'm actually thinking perhaps Season 6 should be its last. Wrap it up quick before it slides too far.

Hey Sorry but I totally disagree with number 6
and yeah people are saying bring back Addison. Um no, too bad Addison is in a show with a good story line now, why should she go to the craptastic mess that Grey's Anatomy is now?
Hi Everybody!
NOTE: If your overseas try going on Itunes and changing your country to America and purchasing the episodes or abc.com (not sure that thoes ideas work)
I don't mind that George is leaving, but he did have a large impact on the show.
I dont have an opinion on the development of Mark and Alex.
I LOVE to be continued episodes if they're on the same day. If not the wait kills me!

Grey's this season has been a huge disappointment. Give us more Meredith and Derek - where is the passion and fun they had in the earlier seasons? And get rid of the Denny and Izzie storyline. One good thing of this season is "Little Sloan" and "Little Grey". Grey's is in serious trouble and needs fixing now!

To the Editors: Don't feel bad about writing something negative about "Grey's Anatomy", especially if it is constructive criticism. IMHO, GA deserves all the negative press and criticism it is currently getting. The show is a complete wreck and almost all of the current storylines border on the idiotic.
The only number on your list that I don't agree with is #3 - To Be Continued. GA needs to pick up the pace of its storytelling, not slow it down. I'm tired of the fact that here we are in S5, and the Fab Five are still somewhere in their 2nd year of residency. Completely ridiculous. If the show would pick up the pace, we might be able to have a couple holiday themed episodes.

Thank you Insider for writing this!
I agreed with all of the points made especially the one to 86 Private Practice. I was afraid of this as soon as Shonda announced it last season. I was worried that her focus would be on PP to get it off an running and making the ratings happen.
G.A has lost all of it's flare, fire, and charisma. Season 1 and 2 were AMAZING. The writing styles were catchy, edgy and left me at the end of my seat. Season 3 "raised the stakes" (as they say in the theater) even more with Mer dying and George losing his father.
At the beginning of Season 4 it lost a lot once Burke and Addi left, and it wasn't until the strike happened and the show came back that I could hear and see Shonda's genius back in the game with Rose added in. Once 5 started it slumped back like beginnings of 4 and, as a dedicated fan, I am not interested any more. The storyline is going no and is too soap opera like ( which makes the due date for season 7 point even better). I think in th

I TOTALLY agree with all the presciptions. After the lauching of Private Practice seems like Shonda haven't gave too much time for Greys Anatomy in a way that P.P. has a more interesting history line that Grey's. MerDer relationship is lost in the story line and what about Cristina and Meredith friendship? Looks like that when Sandy arrived in Settle Grace every relationship fell apart. For the show sake Shonda, bring back the humor!!
