Well, if he goes, maybe Isaiah Washington could be rehired and a love triangle between Burke, Cristina and Owen could occur... That would be the most perfect thing to watch, especially since I love them booth (burke and owen). Now, George isn't doing anything more in the show, he doesn't have a freakin' plot. And while bringing new characters in to be their love interests can work for Cristina and maybe for Callie too, it won't work for George... I mean, who could it be? Alex's sister, coming back from Congo war, where she used to cut herself and screw everybody like crazy? Nah, sorry, but we've had our dose of new characters and can't face another one until someone leaves... Since George has already fucked/married/divorced/don't understand that she loves him every woman on the show, and can't turn gay because Callie got that plot first, see

I just remembered Izzie preventing George from transferring to Mercy West - she said to George "you're the glue that's keeping us together" (or something to that effect). So now George is leaving for good, I feel sad already. If you've been watching GA regularly, you'll notice how much little screentime they give T.R., so it is understandable why he wants to leave the series. I don't think you can call it being ungrateful. He's a good actor, he's the reason why I watch GA. I would prefer seeing the Izzie-Denny story cut off - it's just stupid.

I don't blame him, but I will miss him so much. I think it is time to leave Grey like he is.
JustJared just posted great photos of him and Mark at the new Brad Pitt movie opening, he looked so happy.
I wish he would stay.

If Shonda can,t write for George, hire me, I will. He is a great character and there is so much they could be doing with him.
Screw them for not doing it and making me lose the one character I watched for.

I think the show started falling apart when Private Practice started (nothing against the show). After PP started, Shonda lost her focus and now it's paying the price.

All the women on the show hated IW. I heard he once stuck his tongue down Sandra Oh's throat and she was really upset about it. He is a sexist pig. Calling people disgusting names is freedom of expression now. Hello people like you are what is wrong with this world.
Nobody misses IW but most people will miss TR.
I can stop watching this crappy show now.

the whole show is falling apart. Im starting to doubt if it will even get to season 6.... shonda&co started killing it with rose, meredith's exagerated fears, so many stories that started to lead no where (Goerge and Callie, George and Lizzie, Alex and Ava, Callie and Erica, Christina having no life, Lexie and George, etc... they taka one step foward and three steps back) and they keep doing that... now I read that this thing between Callie and Sadie is also not gonna get too far... come ooon! give us something to hold on, a storyline that we can fall in love with.... becouse the storylines are what actually makes us fall in love with the characters.
Lets face it, the show went totally boring, almost no sexy funny scenes... and that what it was all about... sexy funny scenes between the serious drama of a hospital... and also no more merder... so much time fighting to be together and now they are like an old bored married couple...
what happened to shonda&co? they used to b

In case you haven't even been reading some of the comments in this thing, T.R. isn't the reason why IW got his ass kicked out the door. It was because he was a complete jerkoff to the women backstage. He's sexist. He's an idiot. His character bored the hell out of me. He's a pompous ass in real life. Cristina is way better off without him. Her and Owen = great. Burke = blah.
Isaiah is NOT coming back to the show because he got fired. Duh. They aren't going to rehire him. How would that make ABC and the show look? So, get over it. You can all stop bitching because we've lost George/T.R. because the writers have issues with listening to the actors. But hey, it's more their lost. At least now I won't have to watch Izzie screw a zombie! YAY!

Other great actors and actress are what you say "arrogant" I don't see you people criticizing them. Besides Washington over Knight anyday. Don't see it much as a "lost" to the show

Really? Because I met TR and he was nothing but the very sweetest person in the world. I also met other people who met him and said at the Golden Globe and said he took more photographs with everyone and signed mroe autographs than anyone.
The AIDS thing? Do you happen to know that TR had 2 hours and a half of sleep that day. He came all the way from another state to do this and be there to support Sara Ramirez and he mentioned having his nerves shot and being very jumpy and unnerved. So maybe this is what happened. I know when I don't get much sleep, I get really grump, because really I met him and I know many people who have met him and they had nothing bad to say about him.
I even wrote to him later and he remembered meeting me and it was months after.
Him being tired is the only explanation I can come up with.
Anyhow, my sweet TR who played my wonderful lovable sweetheart George, I will miss you with all my heart and I am writing this through my tears now, but whatever

I have missed you these past weeks, but when you come on Grey's is soooo much better! :'( We'll all miss you Georgie....you're the part of Grey's that kept it moving, brought Izzie's problem to light, the only one who noticed she's going inane....

I'm going to miss George and T.R. George may have had more storylines in the past than other characters, but they weren't great ones, so I'm guessing T.R.'s disenchantment with what he has been given to work with has been building for quite a while. I applaud him for having the guts to step away from a steady paycheck. Not many people would do it, especially in these economic times, so I'm of firm belief that he is doing this on personal principle.
I just quit watching GA after episode 5.10. Sorry if I'm insulting some of you, but except for the Owen/Cristina relationship, every other character is getting shitty storylines right now that are either beyond stupid or a result of total character assassination on the part of Shonda and her writers. I love the work of Eric, Sandra, Patrick, Ellen, Justin, Sara, Kevin, Chandra, and T.R., but I have brain cells to take care of, and GA has been doing nothing lately but killing them off.

I'll be sad to see George go... but not T.R. My friend Jane met him at an AIDS events in L.A. and she said he was very standoffish and pretty rude to the fans who paid money to see a few of the celebrities that agreed to sign autographs. I'm not saying it's true or that's what he's always like, but I don't think very highly of him... He always whines about everything, along with precious Katharine, and from reports from insiders, he's basically an ass.
So I will miss George! He's very sincere and honest and cute and T.R. is a GREAT actor. But, seriously, do people really think he's gonna get any work? I think this is a mistake, but hey, if he's happy. And although I'm judging T.R. right now, (sorry!) it's kinda hard not to with everything I've heard. I mean, I'm probably wrong. But whatever. I won't miss him as an actor, just his character, and I'm definetly not quitting the show. Every show has problems, especially high profile, extremely dramatic shows like Grey's. All I can do i

On Yahoo it says he wants to leave because he's unhappy about his storyline.
Apparently it has nothing to do with the IW thing, which seemed odd to me because he had put it behind him.
And to be honest, I can see why he's complained about his story line. It SUCKS. They focus on the stupid interns and that whorenut Izzie. If leaving a show filled with interns slicing themselves up and dumb bitches having necrophiliac ghost zombie sex makes him happy and will do better for him, he should.
I just hope and pray to God he'll be alright career-wise after this. And I hope this isn't the last time we'll see him starring on a show.
In response to people saying this show isn't about him, here's another thing: The show isn't about Meredith, either. Is this really that big deal? I am sorry, I like George very much, and I have no idea what the character has to do with TR being gay, and his leaving with Washington´s dismissal like two years ago, I just think that if he, TR wants to leave, he is very free to do so... I just think is a bad move, career wise for him, but it´s his life...
making this a gay witch hunt is just paranoid in my opinion, anything related to him is supposed to be because he is gay? GET REAL, PEOPLE, that is just an excuse, a very lame excuse...
