What will the new year bring on Ugly Betty?

For starters, reports E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos, look for Bernadette Peters to guest star on the series. She'll portray Betty's strict professor at Y.E.T.I., one that assigns a project that our favorite designer must complete on time.

Nikki Blonsky also appears in what seems to be a fast friendship with Betty. However, because she works for Elle (Mode's nemesis) little good can come out of this relationship.

Let's hope the next pair of guest stars on Ugly Betty works out better than Lindsay Lohan did on this show.
