I think I've figured it out... They are going to kill Izzie off. Denny kept repeating "I'm here for you." Get it? He's come to help her cross over. I think it will be some sudden accident -- no brain tumor -- but she will buy farm.
Weird storyline, but Denny is so darned cute...

I smell February sweeps!
I bet anything that Archer Forbes Montgomery, nee Addison's big brother from Private Practice, will have the solution to Izzie's mental problems. It fits the cross over of characters that has been reported within the last few months.
I am a fan of JDM and his character on GA but I must say enough is enough with the dead guy. I know Shonda wants o boost ratings on GA but at the expense of credibility?
I'd rather she hire back Isiah Washington for a few shows than stratch out this storyline any further.

well if Izzie has a brain tumor, she's going to have a surgery from McDreamy, so then she's going to get all loopy and then she's going to end up with haveing sex with McDreamy! that'd be a cool story line, but yeah, i do really agree, they have the stupidest story line pretty dumb!

This is a very sad season for Grey's Anatomy. With all this BS with Izzy and Denny, how do you justify such a storyline? Please Bring this to an End. It hurts to watch. It would be such a pity to see a marvelous show come to an end with such poor storyline decisions. When Grey's Anatomy comes to an end because you (Shonda and GA's writers) fail to produce the number of viewers that ABC is looking for...I hope you justify your actions with more than just a brain tumor or PTSD...
BOYCOTT GA until Denny is gone ! ! ! Grey's has turned into a joke...
If Grey's continues with these ridiculous story lines...the show will soon be A GREY MEMORY...

Unrealistic, well it is a TV show, but i understand what people mean by that. I really thought that Greys anatomy was suppose to be a show about talented young doctors, i feel now that it turned into this high school drama. Half the time i feel like i am watching a bunch of teenagers operate on people. Never mind Izzie and Denny, but i feel like the whole show is going under. I find myself forwarding through the Izzie and Denny story. Shonda please end this story line soon. If you are trying to punish Katherine Heigl for saying what she said about the emmy's drop out last year, than believe me i am sure she suffered enough, this is a terrible story line! I feel embarrassed for Izzie. Sex with dead people???? come on! That was just disgusting! No wonder Katherine Heigl wants to leave her contract, maybe she had enough of you giving her ridiculous story lines! anyway this story is stupid and it needs to end before you loose more viewers...

As much as I LOVE JDM and Denny, I think this story line needs to come full circle and fast! At first I didn't think KH was dissing the writers when she said she was not given material Emmy worthy. Now I think she was dissing them, and for GOOD reason. This storyline is so lame and idiotic, I miss the good 'ol days of seasons 1 and 2 of GA. I will still continue to watch to see where this goes and I will try to have an open mind about this, but so far, I just want to cringe. I don't blame you for speaking your mind KH. The writers so far really suck at there job.

I don't think Shonda knows where this going. They started writing and didn't know how to end it and the result is a very annoying, unrealistic storyline. And I'm a sci-fi geek. Part of me says They need to reel it in. Or start dropping some hints that will bring this rocketship back to earth. and Part of me says just trust. As of now, I hate seeing Denny on the screen and it's so sad because he is sooooo sexy. I think this plot as of right now is undermining the memory of the great relationship they had in season 2.

I agree with GG...if you like a character, maybe you should think again before killing them off with a faulty heart? Now, I will argue that the storyline would have been a lot less effective if he HAD lived, so let's face it: denny had to die and we all were really, REALLY sad about it.
But please, I'm quite certain that shonda can make up something ELSE to keep izzie busy with instead of her overactive imagination or whatever the hell is up with her.
she could go make out with alex or have a clinic trauma or make up her friendship with george. anything but bringing back the dead, please. you're just getting us all excited about denny and how hot/funny/sweet his is just to take him away once again because (big surprise here) HE'S STILL DEAD, shonda. he's still very, very dead. and dead people don't come back to hang out for another season. they just don't do that in real life.

I still think that the tumor explanation is the best explanation here, regardless of what Shonda has said. I sincerely hope she is not going crazy!!!

Do you not remember, before season 5 started Shona gave the clue that one significant relationship will come to an end.... i am guessing she is building up to some closure on the whole denny thing. It has been so left up in the air..

No Izzie's boyfriend and best friend should be George. She obviously doesn't love Alex. She never dreamed of Denny when with George and last time, she dumped Alex for Denny. Alex and Izzie just don't work, never have, never will. They have evry obsessed fans on the Internet who speak very loud but in real life, I basically know noone that likes them at all.
And no I don't think Alex and Izzie have any sparks and I know many people feel the same.

Alex shouldn't be anyone's boyfriend. He is either totally abusive and nutcase, or clinging like an emotional basketcase and totally cheesy like in the sneak peek. Whether you like it or not, a whole lot of people think Alex and Izzie have zero chemistry, which is why the ratings were never so bad as when they were reunietd this season.
George and Izzie have a billion times the chemistry they do.

I really like the Denny/Izzie storyline and I think it's about to get quite funny. I believe that there'll be a good explanation at the end and in the meantime we should just enjoy the suspense.

I'm going with PTSD. I don't think Izzie's gotten to the point of losing her mind yet, but she's somewhat messed up. Dr. Wyatt needs to come back to seattle grace...and STAT man. I like Izzie, and I love Denny, and I really love them together, but this story line doesn't really make any sense. Unless Shonda is the one who has lost her mind, this needs to stop unless we learn some real info about what's going to happen in the future. :)

The story line with Erica and Dr.Torres was goig nowhere but this thing is Izzie is just plain stupid. I hope this show will last because if Shonda keeps writing ridiculous stuff I wont be watching and I hate that I would have to do that.

I personally love it, so I'll get right on to the theories! Most probable for me is that Izzie is going crazy. This could be connected to post-traumatic stress disorder. She never really got over Denny, all this was building up in her mind the whole time and then all this pressure the docs are under... That's got to be it! I really hope she's not dead, that would be kinda weird... And I wanna see her in therapy and how George helps her- as a FRIEND. Her boyfriend should be Alex :)

i hate the izzy/denny story! i mean i loved them together when he was alive, but zombie sex?! please! this is a show that imitates real medical procedures. i think that izzie finally deserves some kind of peace. she sure has had her share of drama! also, i find it strange everytime denny says "im here for u". its like hes death and coming to take her! it gives me the chills...
