Regarding the students being notified by text message, that's actually wrong. They were notified online, as shown by Blair's freaking out and going "Refresh! Refresh! Refresh!" Given this day and age and the demand for instant notification, I wouldn't be surprised if universities are now providing online notifications. What's more, I think she even refers to something called E-Line, which while I don't know what it's for, seems to be on Yale's website.

1. What was your favorite Gossip Girl quote from the episode?
Once again, we have another episode with great dialogue, making it difficult to choose just one quote. Ultimately, I'd have to go with the entire back and forth between Chuck and Lily as they discuss the ways to get rid of Jack, tied with everything Eric said. He was really funny this week - and should have a larger role in future eps.
2. Did you like the mostly lighter feel of this episode?
Yes. It's nice to finally focus on something *other* than the darker subjects from previous episodes. Definitely felt like I could breathe during this one - like spring is on the horizon for everyone.
3. Most hard to believe Yale plot development: Blair's chances threatened by one B; Students learning of their fate via text message; Serena getting in period?
Serena getting in, period.
4. Nate letting Vanessa buy the opera tickets when he owns a box: Sweet or stupid?
Sweet - although in all fairness, he didn't "let

1. What was your favorite Gossip Girl quote from the episode?
Eric's line. Priceless. Also when Eric was describing the German opera 'The Magic Flute', me and my sis were laughing so hard we were, like, falling of the couch. He was so in-depth, and then....anyway. That was amazingly funny.
2. Did you like the mostly lighter feel of this episode?
No. I know they ahve to give Chair a break, but I wouldn't watch the show were it not for Chair. I do like how they didn't make this episode like 2x06 or 2x09. And I do like the whole n and V thing, they are really cute! next to C and B, probably my second fave couple on the show.
3. Most hard to believe Yale plot development:
That the teacher called the Headmistress. I think that was a little too spiteful, but it's edgy, I like it.
4. Nate letting Vanessa buy the opera tickets when he owns a box: Sweet or stupid?
Sweet. Those two rock my socks. I mean, not a millionth as much as Chair, but still, very sweet. Very Nate.

1. My favorite was two of Chuck's lines either, "I want them rare and unstable." Then Jack walking in and responding "I already ate." Or Lily and Chuck's discussion to get rid of Jack; "Sending transvesties to his hotel? That's ridiculous Chuck." and him responding with "They owe me a favor." A Gossip Girl classic.
2. If you think rape is sending a "lighter" mesage to the auidence?.. Although, I did enjoy Blair plotting at the end in a lighter, mystical tone.
3. Blair's B- it would do probaly nothing to her GPA.
4. She's poor enough, stupid.
5. Probaly yes.
6. Dan and Rachel will totally get intimate and Serena will walk in and be heartbroken and hopefully fall into the arms of Nate. Rachel will get bullied so badly by Blair that it's bye bye big city and hello Des Moines!

2. Did you like the mostly lighter feel of this episode?
I did, it was a refreshing change. I loved how Chuck saved Lily and accepted being a part of her family and asked to move back in. It was GREAT to see Chuck SMILE AGAIN!!!
3. Most hard to believe Yale plot development:
I have to say that the B was a little silly... And just to point out... they were not text messages they were emails. I don't find it hard to believe that they would receive an email. Blair kept saying Refresh Refresh... Meaning refresh her inbox (she has mentioned her email address when talking with Nelly and telling her that she wont get in with her SAT score)

Is it just me or has Gossip Girl kind of lost the essence of "Gossip Girl". I feel like in the first season everyone pretty much got along in the end and all of the issues usually got resolved in a couple of episodes. Now all the drama just keeps going on and on, don't get me wrong I like the drama of the show, but it seems like they should resolve one issue before going on to a whole nother one. Also all of the characters interacted more, now everyone is just doing their own thing. Serena and Blair were always together, Nate and Chuck were best friends, Dan and Vanessa were friends, Now Blair is trying to get into Yale, Dan and Serena are almost over, Nate barely gets 5 minutes of screen time, Chuck, well is still Chuck,oh,and what about Jenny you barely even saw her face for the, what 1 minute she was screen.
So please tell me if I am right or just overthinking it!

That was awesome, and Chair did have a scene...when she ran out of the opera in the back ground of him drinking at the bar:) She is great and I can't wait for her to take down the crappy teacher. i agree- Serena is so far off of page six, that even if Yale would stoop so low as to actually pick a person that wasn't qualified over someone that was, based on page six, they still wouldn't have picked Serena.....seriously!
How awkward when lily and rufus make a run of it as a family and then dan-his girlfriend serena, her little brother eric, his little sister jenny, and jenny's would be rapist chuck live under the same roof!! AWKWARD!!!! Add 1 not dead adopted son and that is officially worse than a dysfunctional family!
