Why is it that whenever there's an article about T.R., or him being mentioned, Burke/Isaiah ALWAYS gets mentioned? I mean...a lot of the time it really has nothing to do with him. It's about George/T.R., not Burke/Isaiah. Can we just focus on George/T.R. for once without having to mention Burke/Isaiah? Do you see Burke/Isaiah mentioned in the article? I don't.
If we're going to be backwards like that I should go in the Kate Walsh section and go on about Dr. House.

Please bring Burke back... His character was verrrry interesting. And the dynamic he had with Yang was truly good.
George is sweet but not complex enough for my taste.

So what? Not all doctors become surgeons. George has shown this season and others how great he is with kids. He also has the best bedside manner out of everyone.
They don't have to come out with big stories for him. They can do what they did in season 2. Show him interacting with Magic, being bff with Izzie, getting through to the patients better than anyone (sophie, Becs, Bailey), making his interns great doctors.
You know TR is a brilliant actor, and watching him is always a joy for me and many others.
Cutting George out of the show would be like cutting the heart out of it.

Missingburke: IW, is that you?
George is still great. I loved him last episode. He is the only one noticing his Izzie not acting normal, awww. I also loved his wonderful speech to Cristina.
George is as great as ever when he actually gets a scene and dialogue. TR always hits it out of the park.
His few scenes this year have been the only good things in season 5.
He is the only character I still love.
I want him to work with kids, and I want him and Izzie to be close again.
I also want him to be the one resident who teaches his interns without sleeping with them, cough cough Mark.
If George leaves, I have no reason for watching.
Burke was a pompous *ss. Nobody misses you Isaiah, go away!

George with the cowboy speech, George with the little boy, George with Istan, that was all from this season, and that George is totally and completely amazing.
The Burke fans should just shut up and get a life.
George is magic, always has been, always will be.

He should just leave, because the writers are done coming up with any good storylines. The one he lands will probably suck and then it's just gonna be a pain to watch him on screen. Like izzie and denny. you guys want him to stay because you are nostalgic about the OLD george. season 1 - 3 george. the new george sucks and that's thanks to the terrible writing this show has undergone.

Then I guess there'd be quite a few doctors at SGH MIA then, huh?
Can we just, for once in a freaking lifetime, not bring up the IW thing and just move on? For the love of God, I'm sick and tired of hearing about it. It's done with. T.R. moved on, there's a vast majority that weren't involved moved on, Patrick Dempsey moved on, I'm sure Isaiah may have moved on...

Forget George, his character doesn't fit in as a strong surgeon anyway, we need Burke back.

Oh, please, please, please let him stay!!!
I so hope he will stay and that Shonda and writers give him incentive to stay with a great storyline.
creative conundrum-- I love what you have said! George is who all of us relate to. And he is the glue. And he is just so REAL a character. And TR makes George work. Magically.
Here's to George!!!

Wow, you need to send this to Shonda. That is beautiful.
Yeah George is the one all of us relate to. The character we want to succeed because he makes us think of ourselves and our own struggles.
TR does that wonderfully and no other actor could.
Grey would suffer badly from his loss.

To me, George isn't just a retaliatory conscience or another unsteady hand being offered in support... he serves as a reminder that we all struggle with dealing with ourselves before we're able to even acknowledge others around us. A walk-before-you-run caricature of himself. Processing every emotion and thought out loud, reacting from the hip, in an oblivious humiliating tribute to how he constantly tries to understand how things work. We may not relate to that sort of emotional mechanics, but every show needs that. Characters like George are meant to prove something to the viewer... often at their own expense. But characters like him hold everyone else together... illuminating the thread of imperfect struggle.
Without George, this show will never ever be the same. I just hope he sticks around so that I might see that I'm not the only one who doesn't have things all figured out.

I don't think it is about money. He said many times he made a lot more money than he thought he deserved. It is all about storyline, so I hope they finally give him a great one, one where his character isn't belittled and humiliated every single time.
TR rocks and George is my favorite character ever.

I wonder if they're gonna give him more money or a better storyline.
I hope we get a good plot not a supernatural/near-death-experience/or disatrous-love-story storyline, the show doesn't need it.
It would be a pity to lose another piece of the puzzle.
