I really think Meredith would say yes. Besides, isn't this her wish? She wants to be together with him foever for good right? It would be a happy ending between them.

I would love to be surprised by seeing Mer say yes without freaking out. That'd be a first, right? Don't care really as long as she says yes. I'm super excited to see how McDreamy becomes even dreamier than ever by this proposal.

I'm not sure about the proposal. Mer is known to freak out when things get super serious. I think it would be too soon for him to ask.

Obvisouly she says yes or the TV Guide article wouldn't have said Mer learns about one of her FIANCE'S hidden talents... And ythe proposal has to happen in 5x14 because the review is for when Addison comes to SGH in 5x15.

really, honestly, i don't want him to porpose to her! sorry that sounds harsh, but i don't. just think about it... if he DOES porpose to her, then the chemestry between them is just going to go down hill. they aren't going to have any like, umm, how should i put this, love secnes, i guess. and they are going to have a baby with this REALLY big, and they are going to be this lovely couple in love. that's going to be really doring for the show!
my perdiction is..
he's going to find someone elce and ask her to marry her, that's where the DRAMA!!! is going to finaly pick up!
or.....
he's going to porpose to Mer and she's just giong to avoid him and that's where that will pick up!!!!
sorry, i just don't think itws going to happen...

The proposal will hopefully happen in epi 5x14 because you can see in some of the promotional photos how Derek is lighting candles with roses in the background :)

OMG I cannot wait for this to happen!!!!! And I think it's a great idea for Derek to get advice, but I hope they don't make this long in coming event even longer in coming haha

I CAN'T WAIT! I'm just jumping up and down here! I'm so excited! Mer/Der is and will ever be my favourite couple, I've loved them since the very beginning and to finally get to see them engaged is like...I can't even describe! I'll bet everything on that Derek's proposal will be most romantic one ever! Plus, it's gonna be great to see everybody's reactions when Derek tells them!

I love this picture of Meredith and Derek! It shows again just how much he truly loves her by the way he is hugging her so tight! I Love that! Which brings me back to the actors. Patrick and Ellen. As it has been said so many times before, they are perfect together and they awesomely present to the tv audience each week, better than any other couple that I have ever seen, the magic and unbelievable chemistry that these two share! As far as the engagement, I can't wait! I think that it is so sweet that Derek shares the news with everyone (it sounds like)and may get suggestions on how to pop the question to Meredith. I know that when or however he does it, it will probably be one of the most romantic scenes with Mer/Der. Like the candle scene finale from last year. I can't wait!
