John Driscoll: Leaving Guiding Light
According to the January 6 issue of Soap Opera Digest, John Driscoll is leaving Guiding Light.
The exit of the actor, who portrays Coop Bradshaw, is rumored to be story line related. Coop is currently having an affair with Beth Raines.
Look for Driscoll's exit from Guiding Light to tie in with the return of Grant Aleksander's Phillip Spaulding on February 9.

John Driscoll nailed the role of "Coop". He will be missed. Kudos to the other actors/actresses on GL for their stellar performances during his death and funeral. His light will be missed.

IAM SO UPSET BECAUSE JOHN IS LEAVING SHOW BUT I WISH HIM WELL.I DO FEEL HE COULD OF STAY ON LONGER TO BE WITH BETH AND THEY COULD OF MOVE AWAY AND STARTED A NEW LIFE, INSTEAD OF DIEING.I WOULD OF LIKE TO SEE ALAN GET WHATS COMING TO HIM. THE WRITERS SURE OF KEPT JOHN ON. WELL GOOD LUCK WE WILL MISS YOU ALOT.

Of all the people the show could have (should have) written off, it should be the characters of Cyrus and Grady. Both add nothing to the show except to acts as fillers. It also defrays from what Americans want to believe - that the bad guy gets his. The writing is getting more and more unattractive, to the point that I am getting closer and closer to not wasting my time watching.

Ugh... I'm literally depressed over Coop leaving the show. Why does he have to die man? I take this show very seriously:p Well, John Driscol, your run has been nothing short of amazing.
