Eric Braeden Speaks on Don Diamont Firing
Fans of The Young and the Restless aren't the only ones displeased about the firing of Don Diamont.
Longtime co-star Eric Braeden in on record as being dismayed by the move, as well.
"I was very sad about that, to be quite frank with you. He did some of his best work in the last months, where he played the ‘shifty’ guy and the bad guy and you don’t know quite what he is up to. I think he played that extremely well," Braeden said, adding:
"I always think that’s a mistake to let people go that have been part of the fabric as long as he has been. Furthermore, he was related to people on the show, and personally, I think those things are a mistake. If you want to want to save money, then cut down on hiring new actors."

Yes, Brad was a mistake to let go. However, if they play it right Sharon could be having his baby. Come on writers lets get it interesting again. This adam thing not going any where. Yes he's the one behind the Ashley thing. Get rid of him. Do Not Do Not put Jana and Daniel together. Wrong!

I so agree with everyone, what the hell! One day Brad was here the next he's dead. Stupid move on the young and restless. Brad has been around forever. Stop killing off the good old school actors and rethink about ABBY and EDEN, they really suck. I don't care how you do it, just bring back BRAD!

The Young And Restless have made a big mistake by letting Don Diamont go. They could have got rid of some other young stars I don't care about. Don has been on the show a long time and he should still be their. Please bring him back to the show. The writers have really made a mistake.

I WAS JUST 19 YEARS OLD WHEN THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS FIRST AIRED THEIR VERY FIRST SHOW ON CBS IN MARCH, 1973. I HAVE SEEN MANY OUT-STANDING ACTORS THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN KEPT AS PART OF THE CAST AS A STRONG MEMBER OF CBS NETWORK AND SHOWS. FOR EXAMPLE : THE LADY THAT PLAYED NEIL'S FIRST WIFE NAME DREW. SHE SHOULD HAD NEVER BEEN WRITTEN OUT OF THE STORYLINE SCRIPT. THAT PART OF THE SHOW WILL NEVER BE THE SAME. THE YOUNG LADY THAT NOW PLAY LILY IS EXTREMELY GOOD. AS FOR BRAD BEING LET GO OR FIRED. SOME ONE IS SICK IN THEIR HEAD OR HAVE A GAY ATTRACTION FOR HIM AND BECAME MAD OF BEING REJECTED BY THE ACTOR THAT PLAYED BRAD CALTON. IT IS A KNOWN FACT THAT BRAD IS NOT AND HAVE NOT EVER-NEVER BEEN GAY ! HE IS JUST BLESSED TO BE OH SO FINE OF A MAN. WE LOVED BRAD AND WILL MISS HIM FOREVER. YOU KNOW WHAT THE OLD SAYING GO'S- WHEN ONE DOOR CLOSE, GOD ALWAYS OPEN UP A BETTER WINDOW. SO, THE ACTOR IS KNOWN TO BE GOOD AT THE ART OF MANY DIFFERENT PATHS IN HIS LIFE. I agree with comment number five from Kathy, get rid of the lame little characters like Amber and goofy azz Daniel and make room for the big boys like Brad! Plus he was a navy seal and survived the Nazi guys trying to kill him and his mother so a little snow and ice should have been a walk in the park for ole Bradski.

The remark about the navy seals, Yes I heard that to. They have special magical powers that are taught to them in the seals training, that allows them to shut down their organs. He could have shut down his organs and came back, but the embalming probaly would have killed him. D-D-D. I do think its a mistake that they took him off the show. Try getting rid of Abby, that kid sucks at acting.
