On tonight's all-new episode of Fringe, the mysterious drama will answer one of the show's most pressing questions:

Is FBI agent John Scott actually dead, existing only in Olivia's conscience? Or might he be alive somewhere?

Actor Mark Valley stopped by TVGuide.com to address that issue, while also offering a preview of tonight's installment, "The Transformation."

"We're going to find out a little bit more about who [John] was working for, and his feelings for Olivia," he said.
