I always wanted to know more about Lexie's family (what happened to her dad and Molly?)
I've also wanted some more flashbacks with Mer's mom. If this new plot somehow makes that happen, I'm in!

um, Ellis was married at this point! i think her HUSBAND would have noticed if she was pregnant! very unrealistic of this happening and if it does, the writers are really low on new ideas and have decided to turn the show even more soap opera-ish than it already is.

This is becoming more and more like a day-time soap opera. I am still puzzled by Lexie's addition to the show. I don't understand why she receives a differential treatment, gets to scrub in whenever she pleases and was not include in the group that was lectured by Izzie.
I would personally prefer to see fewer characters, especially the ones who appear and disappear quickly, seeming to serve no particular purpose (Dr Dixon, Melissa George)
and have better defined stories.

ummmm ya no. I can't imagine Ellis having a kid that nobody knows about--it's really hard to hide a pregnancy in a hospital people! and I think she should have found out by now, especially with all the diaries her mom kept. and besides, don't you think poor mer has had enough? i mean, sure she's grown up (finally!) a lot this season, but i think this would be too much for both her and the fans...

I think they need all new writers. This whole season has been disappointing. The best seasons were 1 and 2.

Meredith's father has paid for Meredith because of divorce.
Richard has not paid I think.

He's to old to be Bailey's child. But it could be very funny as well. Bailey seems so moral.

Of course,Meredith's half brother will be medical doctor as well.
Preferably surgent. But psyco doc will be nice as well.

Ellis Grey has not been at SGH all the time. Boston and Europe has mentioned.And lovers get pregnant sometimes. The society
is not delighted then. Most people felt annoyed.
But such things has happened.It was very annoying and it is not soap opera. The lovers usually can not boast with such sublings.

I think the sibling storyline would be unbelieveable...hard to make sense.

please no! there are way too many characters on this show as it is, thats why each epsiode seems so weird, there are too many sub-plots to keep up with!

Well, if it's true that she had an illegitimate child with Richard, its obvious she would give it up because Richard wasn't going to leave his wife for Ellis and she had an affair with him.
Meredith was her and Thatcher's child. It's not like she spent so much time with Meredith as it was, Ellis' life was her work (and Richard).. not her family.

Another thing if Ellis had a child with Richard why did she give it up? Ellis was already raising Meredith why not keep Richard's child too and raise him/her.

No more siblings for Mer, PLEASE!!!! Enough is enough! I am sure if it is they could say that the chief left Mer's Mom before she was showing and she never told him and just gave him up for adoption, but really. I could see it coming with the diaries though. Maybe Cristina will find out about it first. But, I agree, it could be for anything. Hopefully not another doctor to bring into the mix or a long lost love child though!

It makes no sense for Ellis to have had a child with Richard. 1st Meredith would've noticed, 2nd why didn't she use the fact that she was pregnant with Richard's child to keep him around instead of trying to kill herself. I mean wasn't that the reason why Ellis cut her wrists so Richard would come back. Unless we find out from the diaries that the reason Ellis tried to killed herself wasn't to bring Richard back.

I don't really think that its a half brother for Mer. I mean wouldn't she have noticed that her mother was pregnant? Plus i think that it would be a big deal between the chief and Adele. Wouldn't that be a major plot point that would have been mentioned previously. Plus when the Chief's AA coach was in the hospital you think that maybe she would have mentioned it, because the episode let you think that the chief confided in her a lot. But it could still happen and it could still be possible. Who knows...

Meredith already has another half sibling. Doesn't anybody remember Lexie's younger sister who was pregnant and gave birth at Seattle Grace?
