Guys, stop fighting. I love MerDer but I love George too, so how about we keep the three of them? MerDer is my favorite couple with Gizzie and Cristina and Owen. I can't pick between the three.
Oh I Hate Slexie too. They have way too much airtime, and now Shonda is saying they are in love. In lust is more like it.
I do think at times she tries to make Lexie Mer. She had him break Mark's penis and all like Mer broke thta guy's penis, but Lexie is not Meredith.
Meredith is great. Lexie is just annoying.
As for George, I liked some of his stories (his dad's illness, Gizzie and his friendship with Burke) and hated others (George and Callie, Richard's lackie), but even when his stories suck, I love George. He always makes me smile. He is so funny and sweet, and I would love for someone like George to exist in real life. I especially love him with his patients. OK seriously I love both MerDer and George, and don't get why we are bashing one to prop up the other. I would quit the show if either George or Merder left. MerDer, George, Izzie and Bailey are why I watch this show. They are the only good characters.
Right now, George needs all the love and support he can get. Shonda wants to get rid of him, so any negative comment on him might make TR lose his job.
I love George way too much to let that happen.

OK, I'm going to reiterate my point--
It's not a MerDer or George situation, here! Why are we pitting MerDer fans against George fans? I do not understand.????
We want them both!
ILOVEELLENPOMPEO-- I agree that sometimes Shonda gets slammed a bit too much. Yes, we should maybe express a little more appreciation b/c she did create our Mer our Der our George our Izzie our Cristina and our Alex. But I also know that Shonda seems to buckle under fan pressure at times (I think that's what happened to Gizzie) and want her to be absolutely clear that many, many, many fans WANT GEORGE!!! I too, strongly feel that we won't lose TR. But I will speak up for my George, b/c if I don't speak, I won't ever be heard.
Gigi-- As for Lexie and Mark being a threat to MerDer? I really don't see where you got that. Lexie will never be like Mer. I'm not saying she doesn't have value herself (I actually like Lexie), but she'll never be Mer. And Mark is Sloan. He is awesome. But he is McSte

I disagree. I happened to think the Gizzie story was great. A lot of us loved this couple and were rooting for them. A lot of us still are.
95% of the people love MerDer? Is that why on some polls I have seen, they won worst couple and why most critics bash them and find them boring?
I know a lot of MerDer haters. On the ABC sitem, they have a whole thread for them.
I happen to think all of MerDer stories sucked really bad.
Can you tell me one good story they had? All they do is break up and get back together, and bore most of us to tears.
You do know people call them Murder because they murder the show?
George is the sole reason I watch. I won't watch without him, and I know a lot of people feel the same way.
The show will do fine without MerDer. They have Mexie to replace them already.
There is only one George though, only one sweet amazing caring wonderful George. He is irreplecable, MerDer isn't.

I pissed you off, why? Because I dared express an opinion different than yours? Seriously, grow up. Grey's is solely targeted to the tweens out there so no wonder you don't get George. He is the one character that is written for adults and acts like a mature human being.
I happen to like MerDer so I don't know why you are bringing them into this at all.
George is not a threat to MerDer, Mark and Lexie are. They are the new golden couple of the show, and Lexie is the new IT girl.
George has 10 seconds of airtime right now, so no threat to your couple.
A lot of us happen to love George, but people like you are the reason why he might be getting fired when you make comments saying he has no fans or almost no fans.
Could you maybe think about how hurtful you are to all the TR fans out there and about the fact that a great person might lose their jobs because of your thoughtless comments?
The majority of us love George and don't want to lose him because of people like you.

and to be completely honest 95% over people love merder i mean seriously the people on this site and around the world love them and thats why they watch Grey's to begin with. ok?

You never found an interest in any of George's stories, then you were lying when you said you were a fan, and are really an hater.

This is an ensemble cast not Meredith Grey's anatomy. It hasn't been for a long time. At this speed, Lexie is going to become the new lead character and Slexiepuke the new MerDer.

I don,t agree with that. George is the character I most relate to. The find it hard to fit in, the trying so hard and finding it so hard. The caring too much. That is me.
George is by far the most human and realistic of the characters and if I had to pick between George and MerDer, I'd pick Geoprge any single day.

Then maybe IloveEllen, it is because you are solely obsessed with MerDer. Not everyone is into boring couples that are on and off. Their stories are a HUGE yawn to me, and I can tell you many people who couldn't care less about MerDer and find them boring. I know people who stopped watching the show because of them.
I find George grieving his father a lot more interesting and realistic than MerDer's constant will they won't they.
I think you are extremely young and immature, and the day you lose a parent, like I have, maybe you will get how relevant this story was to most of us that are over 14.

#1 - How did we get to the point of starting to compare George and MerDer? As if we're being asked to pledge complete & total allegiance to one or the other? Uh, HELLO??? There is no reason to compare. Honestly, if you want to talk about not getting air time, MerDer weren't getting much at all earlier this season-- not until the past few epis. I missed them and am VERY much excited that they have big storylines going on right now!!! I am a HUGE MerDer fan!!! I am also a HUGE George fan!!! I could never choose between them. And I am really hurting for some George screen time, especially some George and Izzie friendship time-- especially now when Izzie needs him most. George would shine right now. So I am upset (for those of you who say who cares about George?) and George has had Great Storylines in the past (for those of you who claim he's never had a big storyline-- uh, hello? are we talking about the same show-- GA???) and

If I had to actually choose between George and MerDer, I think I would pick George. I love realistic characters, and George is, to me, more realistic than MerDer.
But that's just how I roll. I think George has a very lovable, charming way about him. And he seems like an ideal man. Hell, I wish my boyfriend were more like him... Not that he needs to know that...

omg people for real how can u even compare george to merder???? george's storylines were all pointless to begin with and they were never really mind blowing or anything like most of the merder storylines. and we all know that merder has the biggest fanbase ever so dont kid urself george has no fanbase compared to merder.
