and i really wish that people would stop fighting about gizzie and merder. we all know that everybody watched the series coz of merder. if it wasnt for them we wouldnt even be seeing Gizzie and all the other couples...

MerDer is better then Gizzy friendship or relationship! I bet if I asked people 9 out of 10 people would say either Meredith or Derek.

Yeah if I ask people offline who their favorite character is, I can bet you anything 9 out of 10 people I know will say George.
Weird that you say George never had a story. Usually the George haters always bring up how this was the George show in seasons 1 to 3, and how he needs some time off and all.
That argument would work if he had more than 5 minutes in the last two years or so. The backburner has lasted enough.
I watch for George first and for his relationship with Izzie second. The erst of the show, I couldn't care less about.

And for the record, I do think THAT many people care about George. I have seen it basically everywhere I go. The fans do NOT want George to go at all.

Talking about George and Izzie, on the ABC site, there is a photo of them under the 5.16 episode.
Let's just hope this scene doesn't get cut. GI is my wife and I's favorite couple.
They are our MerDer.
I doubt they will ever get back together but let's hope they get to be best friends again.
That is basically why we continued watching this season even though the show has been terrible.

George never had a real storyline. Hello, Gizzie, father dying, marriage to Callie, failing his exam, finding out about Burke's shaking hand, divorce, crush on Meredith, sleeping with Meredith. Those are not real stories to you? They are to me.
George used to have HUGE airtime.
And no offense, I love MerDer and they are the main couple and all, but George is why I and ALL my friends watch.
30% of people on the US mag poll said they would quit without George.
And if you think George has only fans on here, you need to go around the Internet more. The whole Internet has been begging TR not to go and the show to give him a story, not just this site.
In fact on fanforum, the TR and George fan thread is bigger than the PD and Ellen one. It has more fans. Actually with Alex, George has the most fans and he regularly wins favorite character on a lot of polls.
Although not quite sure why MerDer got into this discussion as I have seen noone bashing them. In fact, one of the Geo

There are tons of George fans on and off the Internet. There are tons of MerDer fans on and off the Internet. Both fanbases are pretty big.
To be honest, I think people need to stop fighting about both sides. Nobody's ever going to agree, so it's better to just supress your opinions and just talk about things people can agree on, that way there's no broken bones and egos.
Who's excited about the crossover? I am!

ok so im one of those special people. But your not allowed to make fun of me bcause im only 15 so its not like i would know anyway. But i thougth that izzie had like a anurism or something. whatever george does need a story line but i just dont think THAT many people care i mean yea there are lots of u george fans on here but really hes nothing compared to the merder fan base.
and how the F am i being rude? gigi was saying shonda was an idiot and that she wished the show was canceled? hmm? and alll i said was that i love george and all but i dont think he ever really had a REAL storyline.

George SHOULD have a story, that is the point. He used to be one of the main characters on the show. He used to have stories. Now Denny, Sadie, Arizona, Slexiepuke, all characters and relationships I couldn't care less about has so much more airtime than him.
There is so much they could be writing for George. He should be teaching his interns. He should be there for Izzie. So why isn't he?
I forgave them for ending Gizzie, a couple I loved, but the killing of their friendship and the treatment of George is unforgivable.
The show started sucking in season 4 and still does. The only remotely good thing in it is MerDer when they don't forget they exist.
I agree with the poster above, telling someone who cares when they obviously do is pretty rude and impolite.
Obviously all of us George fans care.

Hmm a lot of us care. George use to have tons of stories and now he has 2 lines per episode. How would you feel if Ellen had 2 lines per episode. If you claim to love George, how dare can you say who cares? That is super rude to all of us who do care and watch for George. And no, the show sucks. I agree with Gigi.

what is with the reference to not being anemic?? Izzie's tired not b/c of low RBC count but b/c of something else?? Are they trying to make us think she's pregnant? hmmmm..... this sounds like a misleading spoiler. Not sure what to think.
As for George? I will miss him terribly and hope that we'll see him in the next show. I keep hoping.
I am looking forward to the crossover event. I'm looking forward to the ring making its show around SGH. I'm looking forward to seeing Addie right where I think she belongs :)
But I will miss George. ***SIGH****

Meredith and Derek are not going to get married this season! By the way, it should have been no surprise that when the phone rings, that it was Addison. However, I am still waiting for the proposal to happen in the next few weeks. We will still have to see what happens between these 2. Yes, I feel bad for George he is really not getting much at screentime at all this season, and it sucks because he is such a great character on the show.
