I'm not "loosing it", I just don't agree with you. I just feel that Ellen can cry on demand or whatever, but I PERSONALLY never feel any depth in her performance. I never feel connected and I am never intrigued by her depiction of emotions.

But god forbid I disagree with you. that would really be "crossing a line".

And erally I like MerDer but not everyone does and to me Gizzie is my MerDer. Sorry but this is how I feel.
And yes TR is the only Grey male actor to be ever nominated for an Emmy.
Shonda obviously cut down on george so people would miss him less when he left, but it didn't work for me or my family.
We just noticed how bad the showw as without him and now not one of us want to watch, so they just lost like 12 fans there.
ER is a LOT better than Grey any day. So they can lose main actors. Grey is not good enough to lose Gizzie, two of its most popular actors.

ILOVELLENPOMPEO, ER has managed to create a balance between their character lives and medical stuff, unlike Grey's who focuses more on their characters than the medical. It's their charm.
I'm seriously dreading that this is the last season of ER. Especially now that both George Clooney and Noah Wyle are returning.

Ellen has the Emmy worthy material and guess what? She delivers. The execution episode was one of her best acting ever. The fact that you don't enjoy Meredith doesn't mean that Ellen sucks because she doesn't.
MerDer isn't overdone. Look at the context. If they have managed to work out two characters brilliantly are those two. The writers are making Meredith and Derek layered characters with depth.
As for the Emmy nods, it always happens with the popular characters. Maura Tierney did flawless job at ER as Abby, where's her Emmy? Right. Hugh Laurie is FANTASTIC as House, and his Emmy? Still lost in space. Just like your theory of Ellen being a bad actress.

I will be very saddened at both of their exits because of them as a pair as FRIENDS. Since we haven't seen that for so long, it's been so frusterating that maybe that has been the plan all along. I don't know who they will replace them with but I am not interested in them replacing their scenes with more Callie scenes. BORING! George and Izzie were awesome and entertaining in so many dorky, and dramatic ways.

Well honestly if george did leave i don't think id care. not because i don't like his character because i love him and i miss him! but with his lack of scenes he was already phased out and forgotten about. i wish they would have given him more time and cut the callie/erica/arizona crap. i dont have a problem with gay i just get so tired of it. EVERYONE iS GOiNG GAY AT MY SCHOOL! & THERE ALL ANNOYiNG AS HELL
izzie on the other hand is pissing me off! what is going to happen to alex cause his only story line WAS izzie! but her story sucked too i paused and fast forwarded through denny i think the show will really unravel after this to tell you the truth unless they can make interns more interesting or something if not it's doomed.

i mean er is good but like a classic good its just too medical for me Grey's has more love and drama which people really enjoy so, no the shows arent really at all alike except for the medical aspect of it.

I can't believe that Katherine will be leaving. I'm a huge Izzie fan and a even bigger Katherine fan! After the entire story line with Denny, Shonda kept saying that Katherine was not leaving! I am completely iritated about this!! I know many people are mad about her and what happened with the Emmy's, or lack there of, but they need to get over it. Izzie has always been my favorite on the show. I feel like too many people are leaving and it's going to end up like ER... too many new people then the views lose interest. I'm upset about T.R. leaving but he's really had a lack in interesting story lines. Both characters will be greatly missed but Katherine will be missed the most by me!! The show will not be the same without the original 5! I'm really upset about this. I know it's just a show but I'm totally addicted to Grey's!!

I think it's unfair to compare ER to Grey's Anatomy. ER has managed to progress through time and change their entire cast (including originals) more than 3 times and still have success. Grey's isn't still in that place because they have a different perspective of medical drama.
If you think about it, it was in Season 5 of ER that George Clooney left the show. KH (as much as she would love to believe) and TR aren't the equivalent of George Clooney back then. Guess what? ER's ratings came down but the show lived on. It's season 5 on Grey's and obviously this kind of stuff is starting to come out.
ER manages to still draw about 9 million viewers which is low but not wtf-are-we-going-to-do low. And to tell you the truth, something like that might happen to Grey's just with the exception that a large portion of their original cast is still going to be there.

omg trey u REALLY just crossed the line. how can u possibly say such a thing about Ellen Pompeo when she just did that AMAZING williams execution/ end scene with derek?!?!!?!? her acting was phenomenal and she is by far the best actress ever, her and sandra oh and chandra wilson. but really how can u say that?!?! thats Ellen Pompeo ur talking about the Grey is Grey's Anatomy if there were no Ellen Pompeo to play Meredith GREY there would be NO show.

I heard that the only male cast member on the show to get an Emmy nod is T.R. Knight. Is this true?
Please note that this is NOT to start fights or be all "OMG HE'S A BETTER ACTOR SUCK IT LOL!!!!", it's pure curiosity.
Really people, shut up and stop arguing. The only thing I'm really upset about over this whole thing is, "Am I ever going to hear about T.R. again?"
He's got talent and could be in movies, IMO. I hope to see him on another show or in something soon. Even if he returned to broadway/theatere, I'd go see him when I'm 18.

I love george and izzie's characters, and I am so sad to see them go. Shonda needs to do something before they lose even more viewers. Like...BRING DR. BURKE BACK!!!!! Now, that, would be amazing. Ugh, so many people would flock back if he came back to stir up the drama with Christina and her new flame....see, that's a story.

ugh please. im sorry, merder is SO over done. its the same thing over and over and over again. I actually think it's the most annoying part of the show.
personally, i hate meredith. Maybe Izzie is overly emotional and annoying at times, but at least she isn't an adult who walks around LITERALLY saying "my life sucks" (past seasons more then current season). Meredith is such a negative character and the only time they ever really delved into the "dark and twisty" (therapy scenes), they ended it prematurely.
Also, I know someone is going to give me hell for this... But Ellen Pompeo hasn't gotten and Emmy nod because she isn't a good actress. She was originally THE main character and couldn't carry the show. The really, really believable, emotional scenes are not starring Ellen, they are featuring Katherine, TR, Sandra, or one of the other talented actors.

Karen, you are being a little bit over the top. People ahve their opinions on the grey characters. Like I like George and Izzie, i Don't Like Meredith, just like they have the right to NOT like george and izzie.

Karen, i am a George fan, and i don't think at all he's a diva or anything like that. But Shonda OBVIOUSLY doesn't want to get rid of the gays if she still has two lesbians on the show. So that theory, is wrong. also, Aussiello from tv guide said that George and Katherine both want out of their contracts, so obviously its not Shonda getting rid of them. You guys forget that there is a producer, and a director of greys, and Shonda doesn't make all the rules.

brooke got kicked out because she wasn't hot enough and then replaced by two hot blonde lesbians.
TR got kicked out because they don,t find him hot enough and is an openly gay actor.
Every single one of TR's colleagues said he was a joy to work with and those rumors were total bogus and lies.
Don't trash an actor without proof. That is disgusting.
