I agree almost completely with Madison on the first page. Izzie was/is my favorite character and I love Greys Anatomy in general--it too was my escape from reality, my little piece of heaven. I feel that Katherine's outspokenness has been way blow out of proportion. Anyhow, I know it will be hard to continue watching after 1/3 of the original cast is gone, but I'll do my best. I sound like a complete loser for saying this but, I am devastated :(

Shouldn't we start worrying once there is a released statement?
Should I even bother to care until then?
TR is certainly going to be missed. George was a comic relief and could deliver really good scenes. Not my favorite but not to make him leave.
And good riddance to whiny Katherine Heigl. I hope that you bit the hand that fed you well so that you'll pay your debts later. No Oscar for you! So happy and so glad she's gone. It actually means that I won't have to FF Grey's anymore!
The chemistry of the show is certainly changing but we need to hope for the best. Otherwise, it's a lost battle.
Until the statement is released...I'll have a more formed opinion.

of course it will be a shame if the guys leave, they've been there since the beginning. But in all honesty...
Grey's Is Too Crowded!!! They could do with losing a couple of main castmembers so the writers can give a decent amount of screentime to some of the others! We've hardly seen Callie for a while, the Chief also, and even Cristina is fading into the background. Izzie's story has dominated this season and it will be nice to see how things juggle around when a few faces drop out. Her story has become tiresome, and needs a kick up the ass to get in gear and actually.... well, HAPPEN!
I look forward to seeing what the writers do having a few less mouths to feed!

i agree with you greysaddiction and xie. this has not even been confirmed by ABC! i feel bad for katherine and T.R. because their storylines have been poor, but suck it up. you have a steady job and are making great money which many people during theses times would love. you both committed to a contract and a character so stick it out until the end. the show would obviously not be the same without the original five interns and the original cast, so i just wish everyone and the actors/actresses/and even shonda could like watch the season 1 and season 2 to remind them what its really all about. and to remind them they made a committment to a great show.

Cast members that left:
Burke- I really never liked him that much.
Addison- After a while, I got over it.
Erica- Heartbroken, we needed a female attending again.
About to Leave:
Izzie- I can't believe my rockstar is leaving. :-(
George- Never really cared, but the show will be different.

Jeez, this is just another off screen drama, I am afraid this great show will be remembered for. I think it's such a shame, the cast for whatever reason seem unhappy, I can't recall another popular show with so much bad vibes coming from the cast while still on air and it's peak. Can it be so bad acting on a hit show with all the benefits that brings, I can think of a lot worst ways to earn a living. It distracts from the enjoyment of watching the show.I like Katherine H but I have to say I thought her Emmy comment was extremely unprofessional and ungracious, in an ensemble cast you can't expect to always have award winning material. I am now more than ever rooting for MerDer, for me they are the glue of the show and need to have more screen time together.

You know in the beginning of season 5, Katherine said that she received a storyline that she likes and that she was happy with her character this season........don't know why she would want to leave..... i'm sorry, but she's annoyed me ever since the emmy nomination dropout......

It wouldn't matter to me if they both left. At first I didn't like Katherine's character, but around the 2nd/3rd season I came to like her, but her character has just gone downhill for me when she slept with George and this ridiculous denny storyline. If she wants to leave thats fine by me because I'm sick with all the articles about her wanting to leave already. Grey's Anatomy made her more well known, but I do not consider her a big time movie star with just two really successful movie under her name. I am sad to see T.R.'s character get wittle down to almost nothing. But since he hasn't appeared in most of the scenes I sorta don't notice that he's gone anymore. I will continue to support the show til the very end.

I hope this doesn't come to pass. I love them both! They are amazing actors and their characters on the show are fantastic!
They need to give T.R. more air time though!! Remember how AWESOME this show was in the 1st and 2nd seasons?? That's what I miss. :(
It was so fresh and new every week with witty comments back and forth and now we hardly get that at all. My friends and I would find somthing HILARIOUS that was said and we'd go around the entire week inserting it in conversations. I miss it. :(
But this show will always be my number one! and I'm gonna stick by it until we get out of this rough patch :D

I don't care if they go. I do agree that T.R. should have gotten more screen time, but KH is just annoying. Asking for more money, and just doing other stupid stuff. When you bring a character to life you stay with the character, you don't ask for more money to be that character, OR drop out from nominations. T.R. Knight is cool and I am sad to see him go, however good-bye to KH, selfish little thing she is. We are in a economic falling for money and all KH can think of is money. I don't like her at all. I did like her, but now I have grown to hate her, and that Denny storyline just makes me even happier that KH has gotten that storyline, because to me it shows iorny. She is insane and now her character is going insane! I LAUGH IN HER FACE!

Its really sad that they want out that bad, but I mean if you truly hate your job you arent going to put in that much effort into doing your best therefore the acting would be just as bad as if they left. But I agree with most in saying that, if they both leave then the show is done, you cant take out two main characters and expect the ratings to be high or even decent for that matter.

T.R. Knight is a fabulous actor. Katherine Heigl is very good too. These two are VERY talented. Obviously they have both been unhappy and have had some issues and have spoken out about them, each in their own way. George is my favorite Greys character. He and Izzie are INDESPENSABLE. Suppose that what James Pickens Jr. has said, maybe parts of it were taken out of context? Supposedly he said these things last w/e (2/7/09 - US Weekly Mag), how come it is just NOW being reported? This has been such a HOT issue, that it would seem these comments would have leaked first thing Monday morning. I REFUSE to believe ANYTHING until it comes from ABC and TR and KH themselves. As for the fans who say they can do w/o them? I really don't understand that at all. WE NEED GEORGE & IZZIE!!!

Okay I rarely ever comment on here, I usually just read, but I highly HIGHLY disagree with ILOVEELLENPOMPEO. I am a HUGE HUGE Izzie and Katherine Heigl fan, but I am not going to stop watching the show, I will still be a fan of Katie, and the show. And I feel that Katherine Heigl has to do what is best for her...no one knows why she really wants out except for her, the producers, and her family and friends. Maybe she is genuinely unhappy with the direction her character is going, maybe her mind and ideas changed. Has anyone not been in a job and decided they wanted to go towards something else...Cut her some slack, she is human you know?! geez sorry I had to get that out...I feel like a lot of people wouldn't be so criticizing if it was Ellen Pompeo who wanted out...
